All the Hugs in the World (Private)

The chirping of birds was the best part of the day for the small feline as most the rest of it seemed too bright and chipper for the sort of things on her mind. Honestly, she was safer with some sort of guide but with all the things she was seeing in this state, the girl didn't feel very safe in company. What if she accidently lashed out at one of her visions but actually ended up hitting someone real? Only the dreams where she met Chaoris were safe for free movement, but even than the blindfold remained on because some tiny part of her knew that none of it was made up. Being around her loved one's right now only meant further internal conflict to be frank, she needed some time to herself so to speak. 

Slowly she ventured into the courtyard using side to side motions with whiskers and both tails to ensure she didn't run into anything, sticking her front paws out further than necessary with each step to ensure she wouldn't run head first. Nyx was just fine pushing herself into solitude at the moment because people only deepened the uncomfortable feeling within her. While fighting her instincts had been second nature in her blood devil form? Ever since she began having the dreams of meeting Chaoris like this, every single impulse had gotten harder to resist. Sometimes? She nearly found herself lunging stopping at the very last second hunting someone with that scent, the guilt of sin. Today, she figured the courtyard would be fairly safe at least until lunch. 

After scampering around for a while her whiskers would brush against the hand of someone her crimson blindfold following a few seconds later as she sniffed trying to figure out if she knew the person. 

At the sound of the voice her black ears pointed straight upwards and she stopped sniffing simply feeling around with her whiskers to ensure the state of the other girl briefly. "Hey Ryse." the voice was slightly dulled compared to the normal joy carried by the small devil as she felt around in a circle before laying down next to the hybrid. "I've been body locked since Ozaki-" she growled at the end of the statement cutting herself short by digging claws into the ground, teeth baring as she grumbled kneading the ground. "This is his fault. Psychic backlash due to his actions causing me loosing control of my powers. I need the blindfold because otherwise I can't formulate memory because I'm constantly having visions, when you've constantly got two sources of visual input going apparently it shorts out your brain." she sighed rolling over onto her back, head lulling back and paws stretching upwards. Honestly, it wasn't him that she was upset with but rather how much her desires only seemed to increase each day she remained like this. 


"What? Ryse are you ill, I'm a cat of course I'm fluffy, most cats are, feel for yourself." she had no idea what the other girl was talking about, because chaoris was made up and so was what he called her. Nyx never even considered it because her delusions had no role in her daily life, expect for when she spent an entire day allowing herself to be consumed by the most delicious of them. 

If she was just taking some break from her father figure due to him apparently attacking her? Things would be so much easier, but she was instead avoiding people because quickly she happened to be loosing more of her impulse control around them barely able to stop herself anymore. "Yeah, being around people just doesn't seem the safest option right now." Without other content one could easily assume the 'danger' was her running into things due to blind. However, the truth was much more brutal she was slipping quickly and wouldn't be able to stay her claws nor fangs much longer. Making matters even worse? She gave in so easily now when she dreamed, once he was within her sights calling her that, she didn't make any attempt to contain herself it was as if she was unable. Little was the feline aware..... They weren't all dreams anymore. 

What else could the hybrid be talking about? Certainly not the dreams she had, unless, of course, Ryse was also a figment of her imagination if she knew that much it would explain why she'd only met her a few times before, the research trip could have been a dream. Listening to the other girl speak only further convinced the small feline of Ryse having a imaginary friend/delusion status. Disappointingly, it seemed that one of her imaginary friends had forgotten their place in these delusional wonderland dreams, this one was not supposed to have such knowledge of 'fluffy' perhaps she could set things straight. 


"If you're going to step out of the roll my delusions created for you at least get the other delusions name right, C-h-a-o-r-i-s, it spells Chaoris not chaos." He was beautiful, and she liked hearing his name just not when someone merely called him a chaos god because he was so much more than something so abstract. "Also, please my imaginary friend do well to remember, Chaoris is the god of Blood, Battle, Skulls, and Honor; Not Chaos, pretty sure someone else has that title." she rolled her eyes under the blindfold but her mood and everything else was blanketed beneath the object, near impossible to discern. "Well, of course they'd tell me about it, something in this particular dream is busted. This one is reeeally weird, normally it's just him who interacts with me in them." and a couple dozen bodies. Nyx could deny anything if given the chance, unable to accept reality unless something forced her hand. A single person who she'd had a handful of encounters with? Was something she could deny. 

This one was becoming far too self aware for her comfort, but than again she may have triggered that by calling it out for glitching. 

How was she meant to get this particular dream back on track for a good night's rest, or a good nap, whichever she couldn't remember beginning to endeavor in recently. People never really recall falling asleep anyway, there was nothing wrong with this dream expect her brain making the people glitch. One person confronting her was very easy to push away into the mental realm of delusion, so her brain was going to do everything possible in order to keep that convincement. At the moment? Her fragile brain couldn't stand reality, wasn't ready to accept the truth. One day, she'd be prepared, but today wasn't that day.


"No, keep it straight, just you, just this instance." She could be nice to the suddenly self aware delusion, it wouldn't matter much when she woke up. "That happened, but this isn't, simple. I was awake than, I'm asleep now and your a dream person whose become far too self aware." the crimson blindfold shifted slightly as she scratched one of her ears after rolling over onto her stomach again. "I can't remember something that didn't happen." just have too many delusions about things that could have never happen or have happened.

So many things on her mind, it was just that most of them she didn't really want to talk about. It wasn't exactly easy to open up about the sort of stuff that was always on her mind. Nyx yawned slightly as she thought of what to say considering she wanted this delusion to act as much like normal ryse as possible. "You're a scholar right?" the female asked the question lightly as she crossed her paws. 

Alright, it seemed as if her delusion was back into line for it's typical purpose which made her much more comfortable as her head leaned into the light petting. Nyx actually rather liked the feeling of her head being scratched absently like this. "Well, I figure you might like to know some of the stuff I learned recently." this was just a dream so she could talk to a friend about things she never could outside of a dream, mess around somewhat.

Curiosity was a positive reaction that fit more in line with what she wanted out of this particular dream, it would be nice to process the other dreams while sleeping making waking life easier. "That's better." it was light and almost under her breath as the feline twitched her twin tails slightly. Now that Ryse Dream Version was back in it's rightful mode? She could continue on with the interaction and lose herself in this delusion like she lost herself in the others. 


"Well, for starters..." she trailed off as she thought of what dream topic she wanted to enter into, as this was a dream she had all the time she needed to decide that. "The military center left out the fact that at the very least some rage beasts can preform blood based bonding rituals with devils, allowing them to call on each other from anywhere." She actually liked momentarily reliving that exhilarating spark followed by the first time she'd ever felt a 'burn' in her life, mentioning it did that for her.
