♦ ACADEMY GUIDE ♦
You decided to come to the world’s finest school in all of Mistere, and you don’t know what to do? Well, it’s time for a general breakdown of what there is to do here at Eldritch Academy.
Eldritch Academy lets everyone access their resources and doesn’t give a bias towards age because the high school and college campuses are located there along with facilities that are more focused upon providing educations for those who are of kindergarten age or middle school age. When enrolled in Eldritch's offerings for early schooling, the focus of classes will be based around teaching the kids the basics. Specific majors and talents are not focused upon until the end of middle school for the child. Once they begin high school talents and majors come into play.
Once known for its outstanding academics, the prestigious school still shines with its intellect within its students as it offers a various amount of major programs, from Sciences and those branches of learning to even the creative degrees such as Performing Arts. There is no room for slacking in this school because each major will push you to your limits in making sure that you will be the best person you can possibly be after you are done pursuing your education. But as of late, that doesn’t seem to be the focus of the school.
After the emergence of talents and how they became more commonplace in society, the school began focusing on harnessing those with powers beyond their controls. The studies of the Talents are ones that a student can major in as well and becoming one with their talent is something that is highly encouraged at this school. It isn’t limited to merely book studies as the various professors will assist in field practice, whether it be gaining control of your talent or even sparring with the professors once you are confident in your abilities. Eldritch Academy is designed to let students prosper in academics and in the more whimsical elements of Skaigis.
Now go on! Enjoy your days here at Eldritch Academy and don’t forget to stop by the various guides to assist you with settling in here with ease.
Despite Eldritch Academy once being best known for its general academics and basic scholarly majors in arts and science, the nature of the school and nation has shifted to acknowledge the tensions that have grown since the appearance of Eldritch Energies, or Talents.
Eldritch Academy offers three primary programs called “tracks” that a student can pursue. A student can enter a track as early as middle school or as late as college. A student may change their track at any time. A “track” is a path of classes, education, and training to a mastery. There are many specializations within each track and mastery.
There are three tracks that lead to three different masteries. The masteries are: Hunter, Guardian, and Scholar.
• Hunter: A Master Hunter is employed to fight off monsters, Shades, and sometimes rival nations. Their primary focus is on offense.
• Guardian: A Master Guardian is employed to defend villages, cities, the border, and national outposts from aggressive nations, tribal groups, and sometimes encroaching Shades. Their primary focus is defense.
• Scholar: A Master Scholar is employed to conduct research on just about any subject. Most of the time, Scholars research Eldritch Energies, Shades, and other nations to support Hunters and Guardians, or fight off enemies with wit and cunning.
A student will take courses to become a Master Hunter, MAster Guardian, or Master Scholar. Until they have graduated, they will be known as a Student Hunter, a Student Guardian, or a Student Scholar. Eldritch Academy offers numerous scholarships for those interested in these three programs.
An Acolyte is an elementary school student that is still learning about the tracks and is not yet allowed to enroll in one. Upon reaching sixth grade, they may pick their starting track and are permitted to change it down the road.
Please note that currently members are not permitted to roleplay the headmaster, heads of dorms, or student council. This may change in the future as the site progresses.
Professors: Those who teach college level students are professors. Most professors specialize in one type of class or major.
Teachers: Those who teach elementary, middle, and high school level students are teachers. Most teachers teach general education or can specialize.
Librarians: Those who manage and run the library.
Advisors: Those who advise and counsel students on their education path.
Janitors / Groundskeepers: Those who clean the academy.
Security: Those who guard and protect the academy.
Nurses: Those who give first aid and healing to injured or ill students.
Other: Anything unlisted.
Upon entering one's high school or college years, students may pick a dormitory to stay in. Each dormitory is represented by a color, mascot, and virtues they value the most. Students in elementary and middle school stay in the Acolyte Homestead and choose a dorm upon reaching high school age.

These people hold a chunk of power in the school and are able to accept transfers between the dorms as well as kick out and/or remove people from dorms they are over should too many of the dorms rules be broken. They have assistants, students within the dorm they run, to help them with smaller things that are not as important in the long run. All Representatives are named NPCs. There is one Representative per dormitory.
STUDENT ASSISTANTS: Student Assistants hold no real power, simply a title, and are there to help when a representative comes to ask them to do something. When not given a specific task, Student Assistants are able to talk to the other dorm members and see what they want and/or are looking for while residing with them. They can then go and get permission from the Representatives to hold events should enough people in the dorm wish to sign the papers to show it is something they want to have held. Student Assistants are not patrol duty, and if they see someone doing something wrong they are to report it to the standard teachers/authorities as normal. They are not one’s meant to give orders, nor meant to be keepers of the peace. They are simply there to help the dorm be happy by working as a mediator while also assisting the Representative. Player Characters may be Student Assistants. There are up to three Student Assistants per dormitory.
