Ryse tilted her head a little. “You mean you fought in Hisakawa in the Ancient War? So did my mom. Her name is Ariza. Maybe you met her?” She doubted it. Hisakawa wasn’t a small nation, and during that time all creatures fought against one another. There was little magic and nobody could shapeshift, according to what her mom and the textbooks explained. Even if he had met her he would’ve probably been fighting against her.
When he said the time getting back would depend on how much energy and ice he had left, she nodded. “Yeah, but traders bring ice from the mountains. We could buy some from them if we need to.”

"I probably fought alongside your mom, though no. There were too many phoenixes to keep track, and the war was chaos incarnate. I actually helped them make a few alliances too. And tried to keep your kind fighting for what was good, not what they wanted most. Though to be fair, that was every race at the time," he said with an annoyed sigh. When she mentioned how traders would cross the mountains and sell ice to the Phoenixes, he nodded. "Alright, that should work then. We're going to leave in three days time. Better get ready puppird. He said with a chuckle before heading towards the door.

Ryse watched as the Atronach began walking towards the door. She turned back into her human form, shaking herself a little before moving to pick up an empty notebook and a pencil lying on the table. She was going to have to make a list of the things she needed to pack when they left. The list wasn't long, just a few items, but keeping a list helped remind her what she needed to bring with her. They were going to be traveling across the mountains after all. It was best if she had another shirt she could change into at least. And a jacket. Definitely a jacket.

Oras knew this was going to be an interesting trip. It would just be the two of them the entire way, though Oras would need to be focusing rather than talking. He would after all be using a maneuver that typically worked with just him, though he was able to use it with his old summoner as well. Hopefully he'd be able to do it again with Ryse, though she'd need to stay in human form. If he didn't look at her as he ran he should be fine. He paused as he turned the handle of the door, not opening it yet. He turned to look at Ryse. "Oh and, if you tell anyone about what happened, including your mother. I promise you'll regret it the rest of your life..... Also don't tell your mother we're coming, this has to be unexpected." And with that he walked out the door.

Ryse nodded at Oras' words. It seemed a bit strange that he didn't want her to tell anyone. But she understood telling her mom that he'd nearly frozen her in ice would not end well. Besides her mom, she had nobody else she would tell. Nobody else she knew well enough to tell anyways. It wasn't like she was surrounded by a million friends everywhere she went. Oras - and two others who she was unsure about at the moment - were the only people at the school she would count as friends.
"Don't worry, I won't tell anyone. And I won't tell my mom we're coming either."
When Oras left, she turned back to her notebook and began writing again, a small smile on her face. Even though he didn't seem like it most of the time, Oras really was nice. He just had an exterior as hard as the ice he was made of. He was capable of kindness, just like when he'd hugged her not a few minutes ago. Underneath that hard exterior he was soft. Like freshly fallen snow. And that was what she liked about him. Why she considered the incredibly annoying - and sometimes infuriating - Atronach a friend.
And she was glad he was her friend.
