He'd shrug lightly. "I didn't think it ought to be." Unlike in a cinema, it didn't seem very warranted and to be frank he was only confirming just because the vampire appeared to be worried about it the most, for whatever reason. "Actually, I was more interested in the kinds of equipment and whatnot they offer. Food is great but I doubt I'd be able to eat much of that..." Eugh no. He didn't know about the other, but he was pretty limited, due to the fact that anything that contained plants in some way would only prove to be an irritant. What did some bar at a club serve that had none of that in it...?

"Well, one drink wouldn't kill anyone, unless you're a big lightweight. I'm personally not a big fan of getting too drunk anyway. Alcohol doesn't sit with me that well." If and when he did drink, he liked to make sure he did not go too far. A little buzz could be enjoyable, but getting plastered just did not please him in the slightest. Plus, a terrible hangover was certainly not an experience to die for. He was better off not playing that game.

"I think it's some variation of a fruity drink...? I'm not sure, since I can't quite touch that anyway..." Maybe if it only had some artificial flavoring instead of real fruit in it but an obviously chemical fruit taste wouldn't be all that desirable anyway. Meh. "I suppose it's time we get going?" He didn't care where exactly it was, as long as it wasn't hours away, and Ozaki could just lead them there, right?

Okay okay. He’d let the damn thing go. At this point he was looking like the prude. He should just try to chill. By Dracula’s fangs a drink sounded nice… “Its a type of drink, orange and cherry flavored.” Also blood could be added if you asked. Buuuut he was a little wary to mention that for some reason. Perhaps he was worrying over nothing… Wouldn’t be the first or the last time.

“Its in the mall, yah. Probably just about a ten minute walk from here.” Ozaki then began to lead the way.

'Well. Here we are.' Ryse thought as the trio arrived at the building. It was larger than she thought it would be. The name on the top of the building read The Bowlerama. Not a very unique name, at least so she thought. Even outside the building, she could hear sounds of laughter and other noise.

Stepping forward, she grabbed the door handle and pulled the door open, walking in. Inside, the noise was considerably louder. In front, there was what seemed to be a bar, with a food menu on a blackboard located on the wall. She looked to the left upon hearing a loud crash, and saw multiple bowling lanes down the left side of the building. People were putting on bowling shoes and choosing which ball they were going to use, while others were cheering whenever they got a strike. Off to the right she saw a space with tables where people were eating, and some rooms off to the side. Maybe that was where the karaoke rooms were? She hadn't gone bowling before, but it looked easy to learn; just knock all the pins at the end of the lane with a ball.

"Do we have to rent a room?" She asked the other two, raising her voice so she could be heard. The noise was quite loud, and it was starting to hurt her ears.

"Hm. Well, unless we wish to be squeezed between all the people in the public space, we might want to. It's quite lively here." It did depend on what exactly they wanted to do, but even for bowling, it was so rowdy in the open spaces. Frankly, his ears were already not liking that, and sticking in the middle of such noise was a straight highway to a nasty headache later. He wouldn't even need to drink. Just kill himself with sensory overload. Enhanced canine senses were a curse in situations like these. He was very much not fond of bars, clubs or parties that were generously occupied. It grated on him far too much. Silence was golden in more ways than one, and moderation was also appreciated.

Okay you know what? He just had to calm down. Ozaki drew his fingers through his hair, trying to settle his mind as they walked over. Just assume you’re going to make a fool of yourself no matter what you do, and it’ll be that much easier. Do sing, don’t sing. If he didn’t he’d look all the worse for having made this suggestion in the first place. Artemis be damned. He had to chill if he was going to enjoy this night at all. “I’d say so.” Ozaki said loudly as well.

There wasn’t so much an option for public karaoke anyways at this place. “I’ll go get in line to get a booth.”

Thankfully the line didn’t take too long and there was already a booth open. “Guys, how long do you think we should go for? They rent these out by the hour.”

"I'd say an hour or two." The teenager replied. She didn't plan on staying here the entire night, and spending a few hours doing something enjoyable with people she liked sounded good to her. Plus, it would be quieter in the room, so she could give her ears a rest from all the noise. Like Sharaku, she had a stronger sense of hearing, and she didn't go to loud places unless it was necessary.

"How much does it cost? We can all pitch in, split the cost evenly. If that's okay with you of course, Sharaku." Splitting it three ways would be a lot less expensive than one person paying for all of it. They were all going to use the room anyways, so they might as well.

"I can go with whatever works for the two of you." It really did not matter to him. He didn't have any other pressing matters to deal with, nor any issue with staying up through the night for as long as turned out to be necessary. If it wasn't for this, he'd likely be spending his time wandering about for the most part.

Same went for the payment measures. Unless someone tried to dump an expensive as all hell bill on him for no reason, he saw no point in spending time deliberating on it, or raising any complaints.

“I’ll go for two hours then.” He said, receiving the price for said time then collecting the amount from each person.

As he went about this Ozaki appeared mildly distracted. The whole time they had been walking here he hadn’t seen a trace of Antonio, and glancing around a bit affirmed that at least a cursory glance did not reveal him… Ozaki was going to just go out on a limb and say that Antonio had followed through on his word to not follow him tonight.

Everything would be fine tonight. He’d make it fine. Because for the first time in weeks he was out in public and not being watched by a shady gangster. If that wasn’t a reason to kick back he didn’t know what was. As Ozaki came to this decision there was a notable lightening of tension in his shoulders.

You know what? He was going to get a kiwi drink… He wouldn’t even need alcohol to unwind with one of those in his hands. Hell putting alcohol in with anything kiwi flavored would be sacrilege practically. “We’ll be in room 4. If you want any drinks or food we can order from in there using the phone, so we don’t have to deal with all this noise.” Ozaki looked visibly excited now as he started leading the way.

Ryse followed the vampire to the room, and upon reaching the door that had the number Four at the top, she turned the knob and stepped inside. She gave a quiet sigh of relief. It was definitely much quieter here than it was outside; the noise of the bowling lanes was muffled so that it was barely heard. Looking around, she saw a couch, several comfy chairs, and a projector of some sort.

“Ahh...... yeah this is nice~” The teenager remarked as she looked at her two companions. It seemed Ozaki was less anxious now; maybe he’d finally chosen not to worry so much. Which she was happy about. You couldn’t have fun if you were worried all the time. It was nice to just let loose and relax every once in a while. “What song do you guys want to sing? What are your favorite genres?”

"Well....it's certainly better than the noise." Not that singing in itself wouldn't be just more noise, but at least that wasn't a chaotic mix of dozens of people chatting about. The inconsistentcy of the sounds was worse than the fact that it was loud. In his opinion at least.

As for what to sing...in all fairness, he wasn't very well-versed in songs, so it was a hard question to answer. He did know some, but it really wasn't a lot at all. "Preferably things my voice can actually do? Maybe rock? Do they even have everything in their selection or is it limited?" To pick, you kind of needed to know what could you even pick from. He doubted they had the background music and lyrics to every song under the sun ready to go after all.

“I’m a fan of rock.” Quite frankly Ozaki liked anything but country. Oh. And- “Just so long as you don’t start singing worship music I’ll be good. They’ve got a pretty good selection here.” He gave a little laugh at the joke he made. Except really. For the love of Selene no church music. They had that but... he didn’t need to say it of course. But that was the joke after all.

Ryse perked up. Rock music? Already, a few good selections went through her head. Living on a Prayer, Viva la Vida, Rock You like a Hurricane, Bohemian Rhapsody, were several that came to mind.

Giving a hum of thought, a smile on her face, the teenager looked through the selection of songs. And beamed as she saw one she thought would be perfect for them. "How about this one? Does this sound good to you both?" She showed them her selection, which was the song We Will Rock You.

It seemed like a good song to start them all off. Not too long, and no worship included in the lyrics. Definitely not. It was a fun song, one that she sang when she was alone in her room whenever she was angry and needed to let some of her frustrations out. Her mother would probably frown at her choice in music; but hey. What her mother didn't know couldn't hurt her.

"I'm not religious so you're safe from that. Worship choir sounds lame anyway..." Though to be fair he didn't mind normal songs that just incorporated a vague religious thematic. As long as it wasn't too in his face and the lyrics were still good, he was fine with it.

On the note of being fine though, he was getting kind of confused now. Wait wait, when did they agree on doing group songs? Sure, he wouldn't necessarily mind one at some point if everyone was in on it, but generally speaking it didn't sound like a good baseline. You have to sync everyone up, which is just a good way to make a fool out of everyone right away. Plus when everyone is on stage, no one gets to actually listen and you really can't sit back and listen to the result when you have to sing.

Tilting his head, he'd give Ryse a questioning look. "Wait a moment though. When did we agree on doing group singing? Isn't that just harder to get timing for without even knowing how each of us sings normally? And if we're all up here, nobody gets to be the listener. Part of the fun is watching others perform when you're not the one on stage. You don't even know exactly how well or bad you did when you're up here." Personally, he preferred the solo, so he did not have to rely on others to make it through. Especially when they knew nothing about each others' singing style or voice just yet. It could blow if they absolutely couldn't match up on spot.
