No time to explain---oh, wait, he couldn't anyways.
Rhythm shot off as fast as he could with the stranger in tow, skimming over car roofs and deeper into the city. The music grew louder, and on turning a corner the plaza opened up, overflowing with people. A stage had been set up around a fountain spouting color and light, and under the rain of water a band was playing.
A ripple of fear passed over the crowd as Rhythm drew closer, mouths gasping and eyes turning. He hastily hopped away to a high perch where he could still watch, dropping the stranger on the rooftop and pointing excitedly at the stage, making motions like he was playing an instrument.
In addition to the music, someone was performing stunts around the musicians, feats of acrobatics and water manipulation to punctuate every beat and every chorus. This composition was drawing to a close as they arrived, a wave of water crashing over those in the first row, ending in an eruptive cheer.

Rhythm nodded at the stranger's question. Of course! Wasn't it obvious?
He sat down on the edge of the building, watching intently as the next song began. It wasn't just watching he wanted to do, however...but he would sit back, content for the time being. So long as he was hearing music, everything was well in the world.
While he watched, he absent-mindedly played along with the band, mimicking the way the musicians were using their instruments. Sometimes, when a musician got really into their music, he could steal so much closer without inhibiting them, without the fear causing them to falter. He was almost waiting for that moment now.
He glanced over to see how the stranger seemed to be feeling about all this, and for the first time he took note of the other's bedraggled appearance. Rhythm pointed questioningly at the blood on his clothes, coloring his hand red to make the inquiry that more clearer.

Rhythm shrugged at the question of loudness. He supposed things could get a little rowdy sometimes. Too much noise blocking out the music.
He tilted his head. Hunter mission work? Like...deer? He did mention beast blood. It certainly didn't sound interesting, just as he put it.
A second acrobat leapt in alongside the first, throwing fire through loops of water. Rhythm wondered how they could be doing that without actually grabbing onto the fire or water. When he manipulated shadows, he had to pseudophysically touch them...but was it possible for him to somehow do so from a distance?
His interest in the acrobats waned fast, however, as his main focus was on memorizing the music being played. He'd even learn the lyrics if he could; though he'd never be able to sing, he could always pretend in his head.
Rhythm stood back up, carefully creeping closer to the stage from above as the band seemed to become ever more focused in their own work. The music was rising, getting faster, louder, more brash and buoyant all at once. Even the crowd was getting sucked in, letting even his fear aura vanish behind the noise. Perhaps some even thought it was merely a part of the song.
