A clear blue sky and moderate temperature made the day a rather nice one, even for those who were more into harder labor than others. A crisp breeze blew through the city, keeping everyone within cool even if they were around hot environments. The city was bustling and full of people as always, shop-keeps on the streets yelling out their wares as passerby glanced within. Sweet, hunger-inducing aromas floated through the city, swept up by the breeze and carried to the far corners of Mystopolis. The food stands and restaurants were having their lunch rushes, and their kitchens were running at full capacity. It was a grand day in the city, even though there was no real reason for it.
It was as though the city had been awaiting their return. The breeze caught her knee-length battle skirt and swept it around her legs as she walked through the streets. Her long, silvery hair was currently kept up in a ponytail and laid over her shoulder to hang down in front. her clothes were a little tight against her body, but were designed to fit perfectly, their cyan color and silver trim matching her own appearance perfectly. Her back had a white-blade one-handed sword strapped onto it, silver etched designs on the flat of the blade itself and its edge designed with a smooth curve. On her back was a bow made of a white material and had silver etched designs on its arms. The strangest thing about the bow was that it had no string on it. Whether or not it was just a broken string was anyone's guess.
Artemis had finally returned home. It had been quite some time since she and her brother had left Mystopolis, and now that they were finally back she felt like getting back into a more relaxing life, or as close to one a teacher could call it. She knew she would have to get back to teaching classes soon enough, and she was a little afraid to see what the substitute had done to her classes. She sighed a little as she looked up at the Academy, glad to finally be back. She turned to look at her brother, Apollo, who had been following along behind her and carrying a bag over his shoulder. What was in the bag was something more personal to Apollo. Artemis didn't really care much for it.
"Well Apollo, we finally made it back. Took longer than you said it would though. Maybe you should have stayed with the original plan? We were only suppose to take out one Wyvern, not try to find the nest. Honestly I am glad we didn't find the nest. I doubt we would have got out alive. It would have been a nice chance to study them in their natural homes though."
A playful smile grew across her face as she finished talking before she began to laugh a little.
"Brother, you look like you might be a young, very ginger Santa like that. You need to find a better way to carry your trophies."
