welcome to Eldritch Academy
In a world of myths and mysteries, the pinnacle of the magical academies exists. Eldritch Academy offers education to all ages and species but specializes in the study and training of one's innate mystical capabilities, often called Eldritch Energies, Powers, or Unknowns, but more formally known as their Talent. However, tensions run high with the nations only holding a fragile peace as the Talents that rival the epitomes of technology change the balance of power.
With the more recent uprising of evil Shades and introduction of combat-oriented programs into Talent-focused schools, nations grow more aggressive towards one another. The demand for resources grows, and skirmishes at the border of Arka and Mistere become more frequent. Monsters run into the nations from the Wildes, terrorizing villages and cities. The need for trained or in-training Hunters and Guardians has never been more urgent.

the small "prank" she had pulled on the two males seemed to do nothing on one of them. the other simply turned into a bat form, and as her pointy ears listened to what they said, she determined what everyone's names were. sharaku seemed to be a hybrid vampire, with the other breed being something along the line of senses. oo~ if he was a magic rabbit, that would be almost amazing... despite her thoughts, something told azalea that sharaku was definitely not a magic rabbit hybrid mix-thingy. shaking her thoughts away, she let out a soft giggle, revealing her location on the plant. her soft chiming laugh, like that of a jingling bell. as soon as she allowed her laugh to take form, she lifted her concealment spell and her eyes began to shine their natural yellow aura. not one for pranking and fleeing, she jumped off the leaf and fluttered her way over to the group of sage student's that now took domain over the hallway. when she was almost there, she began to grow bigger. her small satchel attached to her hip, growing in size as well. as soon as her foot touched the floor, her wings disappeared and there she stood, rather shorter than everyone else as they towered above her.
a smiling expression filled her face as she looked at those in front of her. however it faded slightly as she realized how it had affected sharaku. she had definitely not meant to cause real pain, only temporary sneezing. shaking her bad vibes off, she allowed her smile to once again appear on her face, gotta enjoy myself while i can. her left hand lifted and a peace sign was lifted next to her cheek. it was her way of 'waving hello' to the party. "the name's azalea~"
pausing for a moment, she shifted her sharp yellow gaze to the vampire-hybrid. "you okay there, sharaku?" |

"The usual. I know it's not every exciting, mostly because it's not. Probably not as exciting as what you do." Kaname admitted to Inglisse. Natalie and Inglisse were two of the upperclassmen who treated Kaname with any measure of respect.
Kaname was surprised. Inglisse offered her, perhaps the most prolific and most enthusiastic consumer of coffee on campus, tea? Kaname thought about it. She and coffee had been going pretty steady for awhile, but maybe it was time to try tea for a change. She would see whether Inglisse was a heretic with a point or just a heretic trying to make others stray from the path of coffee.
"Uh, sure Inglisse. You've been pushing the virtues of tea lately. I wanna see what it's about." Kaname agreed to her dormmate's request. Suddenly a new girl popped up out of nowhere.
"Uh, hi there. What's your name?" Kaname asked the smaller blonde.

Oras listened as Sharaku went on about, from his perspective, he failed to see how the world had anything to do with it. Oras chuckled and nodded. "Well let me clear up a few things then shall I? I'm an Atranoch. A Glacier Atranoch to be precise. I come from somewhere outside of your world, universe. Hell even your multiverse. My realm rests between your material realm of reality, and the abstract realm of fantasy. You and your fellow species are limited in your ways of thinking due to your upbringing in a world with solid rules, solid materials, etc. I come from a place where I have been able to view all of you from up here not just from this world and universe. But different versions of your universe, parallel versions if you will. Even furthermore, I've taken time to look into the world of the Abstract realms, and spoken with others who've been there. And to top it all off I've even been on this earth once before. So, seeing as how I have both an outside experience and perspective, as well as an inside one, yes. Coming from a different world does make a difference." He leaned in to the hybrid. "And experiences help, but they don't make a person where I come from~ There's more too it than that."
Oras had to agree though, that experiences did make a lot of things. Such as seeing what humans were like from an outside perspective, viewing the major differences between the material world and the abstract world, entering the material world only to be met mid way through with the most cruel and vicious of mankind's nature. Yeah, experiences shaped a person. However there was also what his own realm was like: There was no conflict. The worst situation was a heated debate that may or may not last many years. And since Atranoch's do not need to eat or sleep, there was literally no pauses in the debate until one backed down. However even that did not start any wars. The Atranoch's would create multiple worlds in their realms, and shape these after the abstract realms, material realms, or a mixture of both. That was his world. His home. And then there was reincarnation as well.
Hearing the hybrid mention how it was a 'to each their own' situation he chuckled. "Well even if you're dull in general, you can at least be fun to be around. We'll see soon enough~" He wasn't about to stop hanging around someone who turned out to be intelligent. As long as he wasn't like his current summoner... When Sharaku spoke of peace and chaos he nodded in agreement. "I agree that total chaos is not a good thing, and I do not wish for that. However complete and total peace is also an unstable balance, and can be boring really quickly." When he made his comment about putting soap in his mouth Oras laughed, clearly not bothered by his discrete threat or tone. "I'd like to see you try my friend!"
Sharaku then continued on to explain how he was in fact correct and that he was indeed half vampire. Oras nodded as he thought about it. "...I'm not sure if vibe is a good word, but it works for now yeah." He then asked where they'd be heading off to, but challenged the prankster. Even threatening them, mentioning a dog. Dog? Oras thought for a moment. Well, he was half vampire.. The cliché other half would be a werewolf, but there were other dogs he could be as well. Maybe half grim? What was it with this school and it's hybrids? When Inglisse offered to lead them, as well as offering them tea when they got back, Oras smirked at her. "Don't forget the crumpets, lady Inglisse," he said. It was becoming more of an inside joke than anything else at this point, but if he wasn't able to openly mock her over and over again, this would do... For now.
Then the culprit of the prank emerged. She appeared tiny at first, having revealed herself via the sound of a bell. When he first saw her appearance when she emerged, he immediately thought of a fairy. When she grew, he wondered if she was a hybrid as well, or if she was just shapeshifting for better communication. She introduced herself and Oras chuckled and nodded. "Azalea huh? Sharaku, you allergic to flowers?" he said with a smirk. "Fairy right? Met a few of your kind before. Little tip on pranking: It would help if you knew what species your targets were~ Atranoch's don't have normal bodies like.. Well like any of you really. And if he's what I'm guessing he is, then his greatest weaknesses include, but not limited to: Garlic, wooden stake to the heart, silver, sunlight, potent smells, bones, and belly rubs."
"Alright, Inglisse, how about we move on then? I love these 'greet, talk and mock' sessions as much as the next guy, but I would really enjoy actually knowing where everything is before the sun goes down. Or have you humans suddenly discovered a way to change biology itself and no longer require sleep or rest?" he poked.

Kaname was not sure what to make of the new guy. It was a neck-and-neck race between him and Sharaku to see who could be more unpleasant to be around. When she was not annoyed, she was utterly confused. He said that he could see everyone in alternate universes and futures and other strange stuff.
"We can kinda give biology a push back by drinking coffee. It doesn't do away with the need for sleep, but it sure puts it off. Maybe you should try coffee some time." Kaname suggested to the new guy. If Inglisse had not offered to make tea, Kaname was going to go down some more coffee. Coffee had been good to her.

The Vamp Wolf | Eyeing Oras flatly, the young man would simply raise an eyebrow at the speech about worlds. “Great. Don’t think that matters to me though. There’s a lot of odd in this world too, considering how many species roam around, some of them coming from different worlds like you as well, which can offer perspective to those who seek it. All it takes is a person having enough wild imagination and a drive to understand, and they don’t really need to have personal experience with different realms. It’s possible to consider all the possibilities. One is only bound by rules if they let themselves be, and never think about what could be beyond. In the end, the one who think they’ve got it all may not have the greatest view of matters either. Everyone has the potential to be blindsided by their own flaws.” Sure, being from such a place would offer one the potential, but it’s really easy to self-sabotage yourself. Especially if you stubbornly believe that said fact alone makes you superior. Sometimes the most unlikely people surprise the world the most, rather than the ones everyone would expect to shine.
“I prefer calling it ‘not wasting my energy’. I don’t perform for anyone, unless I wish to.”, he’d comment somewhat amusedly in response to the remark about his ‘dullness’. Frankly, he just wasn’t the one to care. He wouldn’t dance just for someone else’s entertainment. He had better things to do with his life. He’d shrug. “True, although I probably prefer conflict a bit differently than you.” In most cases, he’d rather hash it out with someone verbally, rather than initiate physical battles. While they didn’t bother him greatly, it was a lot of hassle that he didn’t feel the need to deal with. Peace got boring, yes, but there were choices to make one way or another. “I would.” Although if he kept being taunted, he would likely conclude that it was less bothersome to not do it.
Speaking of bothersome, the whole situation afterwards could easily be described as such. “Well, I’d certainly prefer tea over this….somehow.” Any day, for sure, although he wasn’t sure if he could really drink that. At the very least, it would appear that he did not have to go hunting for the culprit, so that was a plus. “I’m never alright.”, he’d roll his eyes slightly, before sighing as Oras spoke up on his behalf. “Technically, although I have to disagree on the last two. I’d say I’m allergic to being annoyed too though. Which happens fast when people pull shit on me.” Nevertheless, it wouldn’t help him to get too ticked off here, so he’d have to pass over it for the time being. “One night of no sleep wouldn’t kill anyone though.” As far as he was aware, at least.

"Sharaku is right. We can even go nights without sleep, though it's not suggested to do it unless it's an emergency, like final exam time. Then you're justified in pulling all-nighters." Kaname opined. She had done that back in middle school, shortly before she discovered the power of coffee. Her mother Kaede let the young Kaname have some in a mug... Kaname liked it and the rest was history. She doubted that Kaede could have predicted the extent of her daughter's caffeine addiction, but that could be chalked up to the law of unintended consequences.
"I bet you pull plenty of all-nighters, huh Inglisse?" Kaname asked the platinum blonde, ignoring the flagrant baiting by the atronach. Kaname was surprised when Golden Eyes did not bond with the atronach over their mutual love of indulging in snarky behavior around anyone in earshot. It seemed that even Golden Eyes had his limits, and Oras had just merrily tap-danced past them.
