dazzling lights [open thread]

the city of mystopolis had changed since four years ago, when lavender had been living in the city. her feet stepped down on the pavement as she left the transportation she had paid to receive from the station to where she was now. her favorite coffee shop, was gone, which left a hole in her heart. knowing she could easily find a new one, lavender looked around to see what else had changed. her four years away at arka while she had been away at mission seemed to fly by, yet it was also a feeling of eternity. work comes first. it was something that had been ingrained into her skull from a young age. she had to make her sister proud of the fact that lavender took work so seriously. a grumbling of her stomach could be heard and just as she had decided to eat, her eyes landed on a nice-looking cafe among all the skyscrapers that surrounded and that were within the city limits. her feet made a soft pattering noise as her lifted shoes lead her to where she would be getting her lunch. it was about one in the afternoon, and lavender still had yet to find out where her sister was. perhaps i can ask around, and if no one knows then, i can try that thing they call emailing. i should have it somewhere... digging through her bag, lavender's eyes caught sight of what she had been looking for. pulling out her cellular device, she tried to turn it on. "how on earth do these things work?!" letting out a menacing noise, she shoved it back in her purse, perhaps she ought to be calmer when she got some food in her system. her face lifted from her bag to the building that was now in front of her. opening the doors, she looked inside, the yummy smell of food drifting out of the building.
