♦ CHARACTER INFORMATION ♦
Name: Dawn Scarlet
Gender: Female
Age: 1345
Occupation: Professor
Mastery: Hunter
Height: 168 cm
Appearance:
Personality:
God Complex: As a result of her transformation into a Majin Dawn has come to belief she is an actual deity. A transcended entity that stands above all others. Needless to say this has made her an incredibly prideful entity that has little regard for anyone she doesn’t believe to be her equal. She even demands that people worship her. To make matters worse she specifically beliefs herself to be a goddess of darkness and destruction giving her a horrifying streak of cruelty, sadism, and hostility.
Shameless: The girl has no concept of shame in any regard. She’ll do whatever it takes to win regardless of whether or not it is honorable. This same shamelessness also presents itself in many other aspects of Dawn’s life.
Caring: While most of Dawn’s personality was corrupted by her transformation parts of her former personality have still managed to stay intact. If Dawn manages to grow truly close to someone she can come to care for them. Despite her twisted personality she will feel the need to take care of them and protect them.
Eccentric/Playful: Dawn despises the mundane and boredom with a passion. If something interesting isn’t happening than she’ll find a way to create some excitement in any form she can. Unfortunately, the actions the Majin takes to create this excitement aren’t always that innocent. She is as likely to host a small sports event as she is to challenge random people to death matches to stave off her boredom.
Gambler: Dawn has a love for gambling and the thrill the risk gives her. Be it with money, over a game, or even a life or death situation she loves the idea of a gamble.
History:
Dawn was born just two decades before Mistere’s Revolutionary War in a small village that was being crushed by the famine and oppressive taxation of the king. She was born into a poor family that struggled to get by from day to day but was gifted with two parents that loved her more than anything else in the world. No matter how bad things got they always tried their best to give their daughter the best future possible. Even when times got rough they never gave up hope and instead would go to the town’s temple to pray.
As she grew up her parent’s instilled a strong sense of morality and faith into Dawn. Poor as they may have been Dawn was happy as were most people in the village. This peace lasted until around the time she was twenty years old and working as a priestess at the town’s temple. It was at this time that the war hero Galathir rose up in rebellion against the king and the Revolutionary War began.
At first the villagers believed that this was a miracle from their god they had all been hoping for. A hero had appeared to overthrow the king and bring an end to his oppressive taxation. What they hadn’t seem coming was the destruction that the war would bring upon them. During the war a battle occured over the possession of the village and in the process of trying to take control both sides ended up inadvertently razing the town to the ground.
Many innocent civilians were lost and Dawn watched in horror as she was helpless to do anything about it. Her friends, family, and the people she had read the sacred text too had all been mercilessly put to the sword. By the end of the battle a majority of the townspeople were injuried in some way and a large number of innocent civilians had died, amongst them being Dawn’s parent. It was this event that broke the girl and began her fall to what she would later become.
A deep hatred rooted itself in her heart and she began to abandon all the teachings her parents had tried to instill in her. She began to look into the darker beliefs of her faith turning curses and evil rituals to try to strike back against the king and Galathir for what had happened to her. Yet none of them seemed to work. No matter what magic she tried it never did anything and the two men continued to wage their war. Until eventually Dawn finally came to a resolved herself to use a very specific ritual.
A powerful sympathetic magic that would allow her to take on the visage of her faith’s god of darkness and destruction. She would become the incarnation of evil and use that power to destroy the two kings. She carved curses into her body and modified herself to become closer to a symbol of evil itself. The last part of the process was to kill herself thus allowing herself to be reborn as the Majin. Unfortunately, there was no magic at the time so there was no coming back. Dawn died in the process and she stayed dead. Her soul doomed to the fate it was sentence after killing herself and the two kings lived on.
At the very least this was how things were until almost a thousand years later. As the Ancient War progress magic entered into the land and the magic that hadn’t worked before came to life. As a result ritual that had suppose to have failed for Dawn so many years ago activated and her doomed soul was dragged back into her body. She was reborn as a Majin of Angra Mainyu though her enemies no longer remained. All she had left was a hatred with no one to take it out on so she did what she believed to be the next best thing. Taking it out on everyone she could get her hands on. Switching sides in the the war, destroying as much as possible.
Her transformation twisted her personality until she became something even darker than a demon. She loved the war, it was the perfect way for her to release all of her pent up aggression against the world. The kings and nation she hated no longer remained so she’d simple take out her aggression on all the soldiers working for Mistere, the nation that rose from the kingdom she hated, along with any other soldiers she came across.
Though her path of destruction could only last so long as after the war ended there were no more battles to fight. It was one of the greatest disappointments of Dawn’s second life and she spent some time after the war being a mercenary for hire to fulfill her destructive desires. Eventually though even this became boring to her and she began a search to find something, anything that could sate her. Many years later, after erasing as many records of her existence as she could, she applied to work at the Academy as a professor hoping it would give her something to do.
MAJIN [ZOROASTRIAN VARIANT - ANGRA MAINYU]
Name of Species: Majin [Zoroastrian Variant - Angra Mainyu]
{CLICK HERE for Appearance, Culture, and Origin}
Baseline Dimension: Typical human dimensions, with some possible variance to the extremes in rare cases.
Baseline Appearance: While all Majin have a basic humanoid appearance, they may have traits that are otherwise unique based upon the divinity they represent. This can include anything from wings to bizarre eye colors to additional limbs. The appearance of various Majin will vary quite wildly and are often totally unique, as no duplicate-Majin representing the same entitiy can exist.
Culture/Origin of Species: Majin trace their origin to shortly after the start of the Ancient War. Majin at one point were all regular humans, exclusively, who were either religious officials or involved in paganistic cults. While at the time the idea of magic and the supernatural was largely little more than a myth, believers in these cults would often engage in rituals centered around the idea of sympathetic magic in order to allow certain individuals to "take on the visage" of a specific deity of some sort or another. These rituals generally involve self-mutiliation or attempting to otherwise resemble the likeness of their god as closely as possible, some form of "acting out" an event associated with the deity they're attempting to take on the traits of, and finish with the user committing suicide to be "reborn" in the visage of their chosen deity. The latter is the primary constant consistent with all Majin - the other two requirements may vary slightly on a case by case basis.
Because magic and talents had not actually started manifesting in people at the time these rituals were largely taking place, not a single Majin was successfully created, killing all of those who attempted to achieve this religious ascension. What it did do was sow the seeds for Majin to be born into the world at a later date; once talents began to manifest themselves, some fortunate individuals - seemingly at random - were able to be reborn suddenly into the world as actual Majin, many years later. Many of these individuals ceased to be the person they originally were, their personalities and memories irrevocably altered, with only bits and pieces remaining.
Majin, as an incredibly small and rare group of finite individuals, do not have any particular culture or single homeland, and are scattered throughout the world, generally unaware of the existence of others.
It is an important distinction to make that Majin are not gods, but neither are they mortals - they stand somewhere inbetween. The only Majin that could accurately be considered to be a "god" would be a "perfect" Majin who has surpassed the innate limitations of their kind. It also takes time for a Majin to develop their full potential after being revived, regaining one of their talents later. (This just a fluff-explanation for the talent-training & grade mechanics.

Traits: List of traits for the species. These are inherent positive quirks of the species that almost all members should have as a baseline. For every 2 traits a species must also have 1 flaw.
•Majin (almost) always possess two specific types of talent that maintain similarities across the board. This means there is a much smaller amount of talent variation between them overall. One of these talents will usually be related to magic, sorcery or the occult in some form or another (and may or may not be based around abilities the deity was alleged to have in old tales), while their second talent is typically a set of unique traits mirroring those of the deities. For example, a Majin representing a god of death may be capable of raising the dead, while a god of storms and lighting may possess an innate resistance to electricity or other elemental talents. This is both to their benefit and detriment.
•Majin are typically functionally immortal - while they can be killed through physical means, they are incapable of aging.
•The Omnipotence Paradox is indicative of an "impure" Majin, which is the state all Majin start in. If a Majin were to somehow find their way around this limitation to be capable of either 100% failure or 100% success, they would be considered a "perfect" Majin. This could not be accomplished by any of their own innate abilities, but exclusively through some outside source.
•Due to their nature as embodying literal gods, Zoroastrian-based Majin are abnormally powerful with their talents, and gain +3 to their strength aspect.
•This variant of Majin has an instinctually understanding of dark magic and curses upon seeing them.
•This variant of Majin draws it power from the concept of the deity known as Angra Mainyu, a god of evil and darkness. Due to this dark nature this Majin’s powers have a toxic effect on species associated with heaven, light, or anything holy.
Flaws: List of flaws for the species. These are inherent negative quirks of the species that almost all members should have as a baseline. For every 2 traits a species must have 1 flaw.

This is both to their benefit and detriment.
•Majin will possess any of the weaknesses associated with the deity they're mimicking. For example, if said deity was slain in lore by a specific kind of weapon, the Majin would also be inherently more vulnerable to that weapon, especially if sympathetic magic had been used to give it the properties of the specific weapon which had slain them. If sunlight was antithesis to their existence, the Majin would be unable to walk in the sunlight, etc etc.
•As Majin are representative of gods, they are affected by the Omnipotence Paradox ("if an omnipotent being can do anything, can it deny itself?"). As a result, their primary magical-based talent will always have a 50/50 success rate associated with it, although the effects of a "failed" attempt at using it will vary per-Majin's talent. This typically does not apply to their second talent, however. Additionally, any talents that could "collapse" their encompassment of "every possibility" into one specific result (success or failure) would be capable of killing a Majin with absolute certainty, and making it impossible for another Majin to take on the embodiment of their deity. A talent that ensured either success or failure with absolute certainty would be one example of this.
•Being an entity based on the Zoroastrian deity of chaos, destruction, evil, and darkness this Majin constantly releases a malicious aura that induces fear and anger in those around them while darkening the surrounding area. As a result this variant of Majin usual finds itself the target of many hostilities and is easily detectable in a crowd.
•Angra Mainyu ws believed to be in a constant war with his twin brother Spenta Mainyu. While Angra represented all that was evil and dark, Spenta represented all that was good and light. Since this Majin draws power from the concept of Angra Mainyu this relationships gives them a weakness to holy and light elements(-2 Resilience points when facing a talents/species that are holy or related to light).
