Name of Talent: Precognition
Concept: Antonio can use this talent to see into the future, though he does not always know when he is seeing into it. He can see a couple of seconds into the future easily and with precision. Beyond that when requires personal deductions that are not always correct. And he does not know how the future came to be.
Extra(s): When activating Precognition his eyes glint gold.
Positive Mechanics: What mechanical advantages does the Talent have? What it is good against? What does it allow the character to do? For every 3 positive mechanics one must have 1 negative mechanic.
- He can get an immediate sense of what someone is about to do within the next couple of seconds, he most often uses this in battle. It can fail if there are simultaneously multiple possibilities for what could happen next.
- Future Sight: If Antonio so wishes he can take a full on look into the future.
- Alternative timeline: This is where he deliberately looks into multiple potential time lines. Ever wondered," What would happen if ____?" If there is a timeline where that is an actual possibility, Antonio can answer that question. He can see these far more clearly than actual possibilities of his own timeline. Seeing the whole time line, past, present, and future rather than just a snippet of it. This one is only possible to use if the timeline is fully diverged from Antonio's current one and not a real possibility for the one he lives in.
- Vague sense- Most often given in prophecies or riddles, this is where he only looks for a vague sense of possibilities rather than outright possibilities. This is the least likely to get him into serious trouble.
Negative Mechanics: What mechanical disadvantages does the Talent have? What is it weak against? What flaws does it have in its execution? For every 3 positive mechanics one must have 1 negative mechanic.
Causality: Though he can see the future, he cannot see the steps that caused it to happen. Trying to prevent it could cause it to happen. However if the events were created by him looking into the future in the first place, inaction too can cause a collapse of the vision actually coming true. Observing a potential future has the ability to alter it.
Time constraints: Within his own timeline he can only see within a few seconds of his current point in time or a month out. Seeing points in between that is impossible, though he can look as far into his own timeline's future as he likes. It does not come in a steady flow, but in snap shots and images. The time of which they occur is not always clear.
The Eternal Dreamer: Looking for too long into alternative timelines poses a danger. The first sign of this is that his eyes do not turn back to their normal shade. He looses focus on the reality around him, consumed by the rabbit hole of endless possibilities of the multiverse. He looses interest in sleeping, taking care of himself, the world of outside responsibilities, and inevitably falls into a deep slumber which could last anywhere from weeks to decades.
