Ozaki was at an enchanter’s shop tonight, trying to pick out something that would protect him against the light of holy and phoenix fire. Really just fire in general would be good… Hellfire was a tenacious one. It had taken him quite a bit of time to find one that was open during night hours. When Antonio had found out why he was going here he’d practically melted in relief. Apparently his own talent was pretty handy in protecting against such things, but the knowledge that Ozaki was getting something like that for himself was a relief.
Antonio had even let him go into the store alone. Such an honor. Ozaki thought sourly to himself. It was nice to have breathing room outside of work. But Antonio was still waiting for him out of the store. Odds were Ozaki could find an alternative route out of here if he really wanted to… But he’d rather save such tricks for when he really needed them. For now it was better that Antonio let down his guard around him.
There was a constant prickle on the back of his neck however, knowing he was being hunted. Sure their intentions were supposedly good but… It did wear greatly on him. But for now he just had to try and focus on this moment. For this moment he was alone. Which was what he wanted. Of course. It wasn’t like being alone made him feel completely closed away from the world and isolated. But not having a choice in the matter irked him.
His bats were still trying to convince him that it was a good think this flock of vampires were trying to watch his back. He should be happy that someone wanted to look out for him, to protect him. Considering the source though, Ozaki couldn’t find himself overcome with glee. Joining a vampire flock would be great… But he highly doubted he’d fit in amongst a bunch of criminals. Nor could he see himself ever getting along with their boss, his sire.
Ozaki put a ring down, hardly able to read the print for as cluttered as his thoughts were. He wanted to go out and knock Antonio's blasted light's out right now, protector or not.
