In a world of myths and mysteries, the pinnacle of the magical academies exists. Eldritch Academy offers education to all ages and species but specializes in the study and training of one's innate mystical capabilities, often called Eldritch Energies, Powers, or Unknowns, but more formally known as their Talent. However, tensions run high with the nations only holding a fragile peace as the Talents that rival the epitomes of technology change the balance of power.
With the more recent uprising of evil Shades and introduction of combat-oriented programs into Talent-focused schools, nations grow more aggressive towards one another. The demand for resources grows, and skirmishes at the border of Arka and Mistere become more frequent. Monsters run into the nations from the Wildes, terrorizing villages and cities. The need for trained or in-training Hunters and Guardians has never been more urgent.

There were a lot of things in the special section about the body of an organism. To cut it short, we had several cells built by cells and even more cells everywhere, each cell having a distinct duty for the entirety of the organ. Heart cells made the heart pump blood across his body, and as heat erupted as a result of respiration, his body responded by pouring out sweat to cool him down. It smelled a little, just like with every other person performing hard labor or work, and it also wrapped along with the hormones that developed everywhere. Wani’s head controlled their directions, duties and regulations - for instance, now that he was running across the track with a length of 1 kilometer in total, he desired to build up leg muscles that could speed up his momentum and thus his sprinting speed. … Actually, you wouldn’t have time thinking so much about it when you were exercising. Exercise was one of those activities where your brain just cut off and focus was the easiest to seize. Anyway, in case if any sports festival came up later this year or the next, Wani wanted to be ready. He had just enrolled and all, and it was nerving to be ‘the new guy’, so perhaps if he was able to win a sport activity in a festival, then he could have some solid footing for his future years here in Eldritch. Landing on his butt, he took a quick break and let his lungs catch his breathing. “*huff*… *huff*…” He wasn’t going many places like this, he needed a running partner… someone that he could try and outrun, exceed… |

Ever since she had been able to walk? Lavender had been competitive sports wise, always partaking in some team or another and most of the time helping them win game, after game, after game. Her plans for this new school she had started with the Twins and Kaiden? Was no different, once the sports teams started up she was going to be on them and they were going to beat any opponent they faced! However, upkeeping her body in a condition able to attempt such tasks was no easy feat, it involved much more work than anyone outside of heavily physical interests was aware of. It was around afternoon that she decided it was time for another run now that she had settled into her dorm room with her new room-mate Ana. During this jog around the school grounds, she caught sight of some boy who was flopped on his rump off to the side. "Run yourself out already? Not very good sportsmanship is it?" the long haired girl had her ebony locks up in a pony tail and her attire was for once a pair of shorts and a jogging jacket instead of her school uniform. At the very least, even if her words were a bit irksome for some, she seemed friendly from the smile across her face and the light in her blue eyes.

Wiping some sweat off his forehead, he didn’t expect to hear a distant, strange noise seemingly addressing him. Run himself out? His competitive spirit began to ignite by those words as a soft smile rose on his face. His prayer might’ve been heard immediately. From his angle, he didn’t see her face, so when he turned around, he kind of expected a more cocky expression along with the previous words spoken to him. Hell, he was caught off guard as he was about to return a comment - she appeared so friendly and sweet with that smile and shine in her blue eyes. … Talk about a book’s cover.
His exhaustion had disappeared by the encounter, and he was suddenly full of energy and eager to continue- wait, he also now had a potential partner! “Come over here, please,” he asked her bluntly, returning the same smile that she gave him. Oddly enough, he’d refrain from saying more until she stood right in front of him… or until she expressed any kind of confusion.

She was rarely the answer to anyone's prayer, most of the time in sports she was the rain on someone's parade as she wished victory and she snatched it directly from under them. Even if she had to play a pinch dirty in order to accomplish her win, the young teenager was willing to do what it took in order to avoid losing. However, in terms of preparation she was fair as they came, playing dirty was different from cheating with things like performance enhancers after-all, her practice was crystal clean. At his request the short girl with long legs took a few swift steps over to stand shortly before the spot he sat, about a foot away looking down at the boy happily. "How rude, asking a lady to come to you without even asking her name first!" She faked offense, placing a hand on her chest and making the rough expression but dissolved into a giggle only seconds later, gentle smile back on her lips.
"I'm Lavender, I would say nice to meet you, but I don't know your name yet." he was going to ask something of her, requesting she come over was enough to imply that. Yet, even her own room-mate had not requested anything of her before introductions, there were still rules to society that one should try to curtly follow. If there was a student council? She'd certainly be some kind of enforcer for it or something. Luckily, no council or anything like that existed yet, it was too early in the school year.

Huh. She fulfilled his prayer and actually moved over to the spot right in front of him as he gazed up upon her. She looked a little worn out herself - it was apparent that she was exercising as well, which just suited the request that he had for her… her mask of offense was a little awful, though, but a funny one as he chuckled too. “Yeah, I was just hoping and all,” he replied, “The name’s Wani. Ōwatatsumi Wani.” He would slowly rise up from the ground and stretch his neck a little.
“I see that we’re both running and all… let’s have a race,” he suggested. It was brilliant in his mind to challenge her as it would encourage him and, hopefully, her too to work hard and improve their physiques. Besides, her tone was rather lively, so he assumed that she was up for the challenge. “What do you say? 400 m or 100 m, or maybe 1000 m, I’ll let you choose… it’d be rude to determine how far a lady should carry herself, right?” A slight of grudge and an unmoved face to refer to her earlier words would probably help.

The young female smirked slightly as she listened to him speak, considering her goal of partaking in numerous sports through the year her regular work out regime went longer than the races he was suggesting, she certainly had the resolve to make it that far. However, he had worn himself more than she had worn herself and that was just unexpectable for a fair race. "Once you're rested properly, I'm getting a leg up because you ran yourself ragged before the race." if she beat the snot out of him by beating him to the goal, it would be because she was just faster than him, not because he had started at below peak performance. With that comment she sat down next to him flopping back to look up at the clouds. She hated being still, but this stillness had an incredible race reward at the end.
