welcome to Eldritch Academy
In a world of myths and mysteries, the pinnacle of the magical academies exists. Eldritch Academy offers education to all ages and species but specializes in the study and training of one's innate mystical capabilities, often called Eldritch Energies, Powers, or Unknowns, but more formally known as their Talent. However, tensions run high with the nations only holding a fragile peace as the Talents that rival the epitomes of technology change the balance of power.
With the more recent uprising of evil Shades and introduction of combat-oriented programs into Talent-focused schools, nations grow more aggressive towards one another. The demand for resources grows, and skirmishes at the border of Arka and Mistere become more frequent. Monsters run into the nations from the Wildes, terrorizing villages and cities. The need for trained or in-training Hunters and Guardians has never been more urgent.

"Keeps down, mistew Chippew."
"Chip? C-Chip?"
"Shhh, if dey knew you was in hewe dey'll thwow you out."
"C-Chip!! Chip!!"
The young werecreature shuffled down the carpeted hallway of the Acolyte dorm, weary crimson eyes wide and searching as she made her way through it while talking to someone who didn't seem to actually be there. Behind, side to side, in front. It was as if she was trying to look it all directions at once, but of course, was failing miserably as that was nearly impossible to do. It wasn't unnatural for Astrid to be or look so nervous. There were many times when she was nervous, such as trying to speak correctly in front of a large crowd or meeting all new people. But even to the people who knew the girl at least somewhat well, her expression defiantly came off more than just being nervous. It was like she felt guilty, the emotion plastered all over her sporadic features. The girl, while being rather passionate and performed well with her music, was a terrible actor and liar when it came down to this sort of thing. Holding onto a strange lump under her purple shirt Astrid turned the corner, spotting her room near the end of her hallway. Ah yes, finally, almost there. Thankfully most of the time the facuilty would be out and about with their classes around this time of day, so there was no one here to really stop her. The only staff being security, but they mostly stuck around the high school kids so she was most likely safe. A big smile edged onto her lips as she spied her door, before the lump under her shirt jolted again. The silvernette let out a gasp, clutching onto the lump and peering down her shirt.
"Stap it! We'we almost dere, i pwomise." She comforted whatever the noise was. Holding down onto the lump more firmly to keep it still the girl continued her way down the hallway towards her door.

Hopefully Ana wouldn't be too upset that she had stayed for an extra study session in the library after her assigned class load for the day, of course with how good natured the succubus had been so far she doubted she'd ever see her mad over anything. Regardless, it was still curt to make sure she made it back home at a good time considering how often she scolded other's for being rude in some context. In her effort to make in back swiftly, Lavender didn't hear the initial chirps, only noticed that anything was amiss when Astrid spoke and she saw the girls shirt move. Oh no! Someone was doing something sneaky, that was no good. Was this girl some sort of delinquent, it was always possible but looking again the silvernette seemed a bit young to be some hardened criminal sneaking something dangerous in. "Uuh." still confronting someone in private like this over doing something conspicuous, felt so dangerous since she possessed no talent and was only human. "Stop!" she sounded much more composed and looked calmer but even on first glance one could tell the girl had sweat drops, concerned over how risky this was. During public situations she had no problem confronting people, she did so regularly, this was so different because the other person could strike back numerous ways and no one could prove the truth if something happened she didn't remember camera's being around this part of the dorm. "What are you doing?" her foot slid back slightly and her weight shifted forward against her better judgement, looking at the other girl unknowing they shared anything in common expect appearing around the same age.

She was going to make it. She was actually going to make it. The girl was filled with the type of adrenaline an Olympic gold medalist would receive just a few feet away fro crossing the finish line. She was so close, quickly speed walking down the rest of the hallway, holding onto the lump with both of her hands... Until a voice behind her sounded up. Astrid's heart stopped, as so did her body, frozen solid by the other feminine voice. Red optics opened widely, staring at her wooden door which was a mere five feet away from where she currently stood. So close... Yet so far. But now she had been spotted, told to stop even. Was this a teacher? No, it sounded too young to be a teacher. Her lips quivering in a nervous smile the silvernette turned around to lay her gaze upon Lavender, a girl she had seen around the dorm before but never actually spoke to. She was a little intimidating, given that she was a year older than Astrid. Was she going to punish her? Well, at least it wasn't a teacher. If a teacher had spotted her doing this type of thing she could get detention... Or worse. She couldn't have that. She couldn't have anyone finding out about this. Astrid's mind filled with a thousand thoughts per second. How could she get out of this? How? How...? Her brain took course on the thought most likely to work.
Once she had stared at the other girl long enough Astrid let out a groan of pain, gripping onto her stomach with both hands. "Ahh! Noo! Es coming!" she blurted out in a painful hiss. The lump fell from her chest to her stomach, replicating what a pregnant woman would sort of look like. The groans of pain continued, wobbling on her feet until she fell to the floor on her knees, breathing very heavily while her eyes began to forcefully water. "Da baby!! Es coming!! AHHH!" Horrific sounds came from the girl, like she was in actual pain until the lump fell from under her shirt and onto the floor. The lump, turned out to be a baby squirrel, which landed with a small thump on all four paws. Astrid, hoping this would be enough to let her off the hook, let out a content sigh, grabbing the squirrel and lifting it up into her arms and began to cradle it like a normal baby. "S-She's bootiful" fake tears pricked at the silvernette's crimson eyes, smiling as she brought up the squirrel to nuzzle against her cheek.
... Probably all a little strange... But no one said Astrid wasn't strange.

To say she was stunned and confused would be a mild understatement, the sudden groan of pain was shocking and shifted the focus to if the other girl had been injured, if the suspicious activity was just her trying to get back in without anyone realizing she'd been hurt. Was someone abusing this unknown peer of hers?! Oh that just wouldn't do, she'd need to find the jerk and give him a taste of his own medicine with her wooden practice sword, if she could get this girl to give the goods on who the person was. However, the words made her confused once more, something was coming. Was the girl infected with some parasite that was eating it's way out of her?! This had to be her strangest encounter since starting at this school, but at least she had those few moments to think between events. "Oh you're just pregnant." she sounded relieved, and than her eyes widened when she realized what she had just said. Her peer was pregnant and in labor in front of her! What was she supposed to do?! "YOU'RE IN LABOR!" what was she supposed to do when someone was in labor, oh no, no, she had no idea what to do! Breathing deeply once or twice she crouched down beside the other girl, putting a hand on her shoulder, but before she could do anything else the baby had arrived at last.
For a brief moment? Lavender's blue eyes widened seeing a squirrel instead of a humanoid infant, but she had no reason to question it as she knew various species existed, maybe this girl or the baby's father just belonged to one that was born in an animal form. The girl looked a bit young, but she supposed it was possible since Ana looked so much older than she was that someone could appear younger or some species just didn't grow up the way humans did. Poor girl, she was so smart but she never questioned the right things, she learned from books and searched for answers but never with any set question. So why would she ever question that the squirrel wasn't the silvernettes newborn? She'd just have to ask the species interaction teacher what sort of species were born animals next class. "He is indeed." and the baby kinda looked like the girl, the eyes at least, sorta. "He has your eyes, um, what's your name?" she realized she didn't even know the name of someone she had just 'helped give birth' that was kinda tactless. "I'm Lavender, I can give you a piggy back to your room if you need, walking will likely be exhausting since you just had your baby." with a good natured smile she waited to see if the other girl wanted the piggyback.
