welcome to Eldritch Academy
In a world of myths and mysteries, the pinnacle of the magical academies exists. Eldritch Academy offers education to all ages and species but specializes in the study and training of one's innate mystical capabilities, often called Eldritch Energies, Powers, or Unknowns, but more formally known as their Talent. However, tensions run high with the nations only holding a fragile peace as the Talents that rival the epitomes of technology change the balance of power.
With the more recent uprising of evil Shades and introduction of combat-oriented programs into Talent-focused schools, nations grow more aggressive towards one another. The demand for resources grows, and skirmishes at the border of Arka and Mistere become more frequent. Monsters run into the nations from the Wildes, terrorizing villages and cities. The need for trained or in-training Hunters and Guardians has never been more urgent.

Robin had only fairly recently moved to the country where his mother hailed from. It felt so incredibly different. The people and various beings, the air and just general feel of the atmosphere was kind of throwing him off. Though the word 'moved' was a bit strong, though. Robin was only going to be studying at an academy, that his mother persuaded him to enroll into, saying that it will help him understand his powers better. The young man highly doubted that, but with a roll of his eyes, he agreed. And with that, he was finally placing his bags in his new accomodation - the Vermilion dorms.
Everything was red, adorned with an emblem of a phoenix. He actually liked that whole decor idea. There were other dorms aswell and Robin briefly wondered if there was a cup or a point system or something to cultivate a healthy spirit of rivalry. He hoped not, as he wasn't planning on being too much of a good boy. Just because he was in an another country didn't mean he would abandon his masquerade. The Phantom.
The young man hastily unpacked himself, as the sun was slowly setting, casting orange and purple hues across the sky. His mask was carefully sitting atop a set of drawers. Robin had to admit, though - the room was quite nice, for a dorm room. He had heard some scary stories about them, but it seemed that his fears were uncalled for, in his case. It made him feel relieved as he stuffed the last bits of his clothes into a wardrobe. The sun was already gone, but Robin reckoned that it was still probably too soon to don his mask. /"Ah, to hell with it."/ The young man thought to himself as he took the mask into his hands with a smirk playing on his lips.
There were still some students lurking about the campus as the masked young man carefully stayed within the shadows to conceal his presence. The students were thankfully very much oblivious to his presence and Robin slipped by them easily and unnoticed. His coat flapped behind him, as he quietly ran about. He had no destination in mind, he was really more just exploring what the place had to offer under the veil of night. Once his shoes were not clicking on the pavement, he slowed down to a brisk walk. The fresh air invigorated him.
Robin kept looking around himself, trying to indentify as to where his feet brought him. "A park...? A forest..? A... gardening spot?" The young man murmured under his breath. The area seemed to be a combination of those things. There was a barely lit path a bit away from him, surrounded by a thick growth of trees on one of its sides and a set of greenhouses in the distance. Robin was leaning on a side of a tree with his shoulder and his hands in his pockets, contemplating. Should he try to check out the greenhouses or follow the path from the shadows? Those were truly the tough decisions.

The Vamp Wolf | While Sharaku was not fully acquainted with all the areas around the school's camups or the whole town around, it really wasn't that hard to figure out which spots were the most remote in general, and thus a best bet when wanting to hang out in relative solitude. He didn't hate people, but he also kind of liked his alone time, especially during late evenings and night time. It was the calmest time, unless one was the type to seek out parties to attend, which he was definitely not. It was perfect for hanging out without any major disturbances, or at the very least, should logically be.
That was why the tall young man had ended up hanging around the heavily tree populated area, taking his time to enjoy some nature and fresh air without anyone else around, for as long as luck would favor him. With the amount of people residing around here, there was always a chance he'd run into someone sooner or later, despite his wishes. Which he kind of would a while later, albeit not directly. He had been sitting on a thick branch of one of the trees, staring up at the sky when he noticed a presence close by. He couldn't tell too much about the person from his current spot, or maybe he simply wasn't making the effort to investigate. Not at the moment. Perhaps he was hoping that whoever it was, wouldn't come closer to him, or notice him, or he just didn't care enough. One way or another, he would stay in his high lounging spot, golden eyes casually scanning around the rest of the trees nearby.

Robin decided to check out the greenhouses later. He wanted to savour the exploration for the time being, as it was truly a place he had never set foot into. The young man pushed himself off of the tree bark, back into an upright position. He wiped his shoulder - the coat had to stay pristine, even if it got cleaned after he would dispel the disguise. It was just a force of habit for him. He made a few steps towards the lit pathway and blinked from shadows to the shadows on the other side, leaving only shadowy smoke behind him.
The young man would fish around in his pockets, taking out his phone. The screen illuminated his face as he unlocked it. He gauged how much time he had left, before he would have to head back. As much as he would have loved to stay up until the early morning, he reckoned that he needed to catch at least some sleep, to keep his sanity in check. As his eyes scanned his phone's screen, he slowly walked forward. But then he would suddenly come to a stop, once the realisation that he felt being watched hit him. Robin locked his phone's screen and looked around.
He couldn't actually see anybody around him. In the horizontal view, at least. Robin would swing his head upwards, only to notice a faint silhouette of a figure sitting up in a tree's branches. He noticed a pair of piercing eyes that he presumed were the source of the gaze he felt before. "Greetings." He would greet the figure sitting above, as he put away his phone back into his pocket. "I apologise if I am trespassing on your territory." Robin would preemptively apologise to the figure. While his eyes were good enough in the dark for his personal shenanigans, but his senses were still very much limited. He was only a human after all. This figure that seemed to have been watching him before could have been anything. A plain adventurous human or some other being. Robin felt like it was better to be safe than sorry.

The Vamp Wolf | Well, it would seem that luck was not on his side today, as it would appear that the person was indeed heading more or less his way. Not only that, they happened to realize he was there was well, effectively making reason for a confrontation to happen. Personally, Sharaku wouldn't have really minded if they just passed by and didn't go out of their way to pay him any extra mind, but he was clearly the only one thinking along those lines. He'd lean against the trunk of the tree he was sitting on, squinting his eyes down at the person. From what he could see, as well as hear, it was most likely some guy, but it wasn't as if he recognized them. Eh, with the influx of students and the like around here, chance was he wouldn't even if they were face to face. He barely knew anyone here personally at this point after all.
He'd stay silent for a little while after having been called out, internally debating what he wanted to say to that. Part of him almost wanted to pretend like the guy was right, and was stepping into a place he wasn't supposed to, but as hilarious as the idea of playing pretend was, it also seemed like a bit too much effort for him. He hadn't come here to antagonize people, or at the very least, not on purpose. Doing such was never a good way to have some peace of mind. Eventually, he would speak up though, the tone of his voice mostly neutral, not appearing particularly engaged for the moment. "No, I'm simply hanging around here, nothing more, nothing less. If I had something to defend, I'd be at your throat already." In all fairness, he didn't consider himself very violent or anything like that, but he certainly had the capability to play the predator thanks to what he was. Albeit he generally ruled that out as an unnecessary measure and a waste of his time. |

Whatever that being was that was watching him, it didn't reply straight away. That made Robin worry a little bit more. The young man's posture shifted a little, uncomfortably. It took a little bit until he got his answer. The reply he got was fair. Robin would nod in response. "You do have a point there." The young man would agree with the other being's words. He would slightly adjust his mask, to make sure it still properly covered his face.
Robin had a feeling that even though he wasn't trespassing, his presence was still not exactly welcome. But at the same time, he felt a bit adventurous. Hopefully he wouldn't get his face smashed in. "Say.. How familiar are you with this.. foresty park?" Robin would place his question as he put his gloved hands into his pockets and leaned against the tree trunk. "I just want to know if there is anything that I should be on the lookout for. Or if it just a plain, boring place for people to hang out." The young man would give a bit of an explanation for his question, so as not to seem too much out of the way. It still probably seemed that way, even so.

The Vamp Wolf | Folding his arms on top of his legs, the tall young man would huff faintly. Honestly, he had no idea, and didn't even really care about that a whole lot. Though going by common sense, this area wouldn't be as free to access by anyone as it was, were dangerous beings lurking in there often enough for it to be common knowledge. What was and what wasn't dangerous depended on everyone's individual perspective anyway. There were far too many races with varying levels of prowess, which made it nigh impossible to have a standard. "I do not know. I didn't bother considering that.", he'd shrug his shoulders vaguely. "The logical assumption would be that since the area is not restricted, then it's not supposed to be deathly dangerous. Probably just typical forest dwelling creatures here and there. Unless you're really unlucky for some reason. Who knows?" Seriously, the whole matter hadn't even crossed his mind before now. One could say he was confident enough to not automatically worry for his life. The likelihood that he'd get himself face to face with something he couldn't deal with at all, or even escape from in a random open area forest just seemed so low, so why waste time wondering about it, right? |
