welcome to Eldritch Academy
In a world of myths and mysteries, the pinnacle of the magical academies exists. Eldritch Academy offers education to all ages and species but specializes in the study and training of one's innate mystical capabilities, often called Eldritch Energies, Powers, or Unknowns, but more formally known as their Talent. However, tensions run high with the nations only holding a fragile peace as the Talents that rival the epitomes of technology change the balance of power.
With the more recent uprising of evil Shades and introduction of combat-oriented programs into Talent-focused schools, nations grow more aggressive towards one another. The demand for resources grows, and skirmishes at the border of Arka and Mistere become more frequent. Monsters run into the nations from the Wildes, terrorizing villages and cities. The need for trained or in-training Hunters and Guardians has never been more urgent.

Hippity Hoppity get off my property tagged / notes / etc Regret filled the mind of the purple haired bunny as she moved about the campus. The singe of having to lower herself to go in public and fratrinize with the populas of the academy. She simply needed school supplies for her mundane classes, but acquiring such tools meant withstanding the hellscape of the others speech patterns and movements. Lyra didn't feel frustration due to a surperiority complex, rather she just didn't understand how others could feel such emotions. The wide range of expressions troubled her as she struggled to keep up with them, to maintain her own facade of understanding. The agony of wandering to one of the many campus stores was mind blowing, she had handled crowds before, but those were at her old smaller school, not at this massive academy, and not with this huge of a crowd. Lyra liked to think she didn't have a weakness, turns out crowds were a big one.
Even though it felt like an eternity to reach the desitnation of the store, it was but a few minutes with the spring Lyra showed in her step. Doors slid open as she saw the commotion inside the store. Large with a couple floors, Lyra saw various students trying to sell products behind tables, no doubt working for the campus store, and several more trying to find books, combat items, etc. All she needed was an eraser for a pen, but it suddenly felt like navigating a mine field. It wasn't chaos, instead it was quite organized, just to lyra it was chaos. The isles were marked but between all the other students it was hard to tell which was which, and she could swear a couple had brushed up against her on purpose. Tempted to force others out of her way she resisted, holding onto her pride and logic, it wasn't good to flaunt an ability which was hard to detect in the first place, so instead she had to live with it.
After the gauntlet of bodies she arrived in the isle to find the eraser, her grand prize, only they were gone, and her plan was destroyed. She couldn't erase, and now she was trapped in the middle of the circus of others, unable to flee without weathering the same torment she had just endured. Perky white ears on her head fell by the wayside as she pouted in the isle, frustrated that she didn't just order a bunch of them online, and instead decided to go out and "mingle" with others. She just hoped nothing could make this trip worse...

Standing nearby was a brunette with a plastic basket slung across her right forearm. Inside said basket was no less than twenty erasers, probably the entire stock that had once been in the spot the bunny girl lamented over. She was a few paces over, agonizing over highlighter colors. Personally she favored green, but all the others were so pretty, too. How does one actually choose the 'right' highlighter color to use the entire school year? Also, which was more permanent? Could highlighters even be permanent? If she took a wild hair to draw something somewhere with it, would it be easy to remove? That'd be a drag. She loved to tag stuff, but spray paint was hard to use subtly and sharpies were so...pedestrian. At this rate, she might gather her supplies before store closing time.
Dumping one of each color into her basket on top of the erasers, she sighed and pulled her attention onto notebooks. Why there existed notebooks with machine guns printed on it for a school like this she didn't know, but she loved it! After grabbing a few of those, her hazel eyes moved from the shelves to the crowd. A frown settled on her lips. It had gotten much more crowded in the time she'd been staying at the supplies. Longer than she'd like to admit. An hour, perhaps. The store was already on the small side with narrow isles. As her elbow brushed another student that passed behind her, had she been in her dog form, her fur would have been forming into a nice stiff fin down the length of her spine. Everything was very close, and she hated it. Adrisse wanted out!
Turning to the sad bunny girl just steps from her, wide eyes twinged in panic only gave her a glance before beginning her escape plan. Her claustrophobia wasn't so bad that she was in claw-her-way-out mode, but it was building. The clock was ticking. She didn't feel like losing her crap in front of many unfamiliar faces her first day on campus. "Hi? Hi! I'm Adrisse. What's your name? Good! Anyways, I need to buy this stuff but I need to pop outside, do you think you might be able to purchase them for me? It's not a scam, I have cash. See?" Her rushed, nearly hysterical words were followed by a hand whipping out an undetermined amount of bills and a too-wide smile.

He usually didn't work for the school, but the kitsune was looking for a way to make some extra cash to handle expenses, so here he was dressed in the apron of a cash register attendant dealing with crowds of yammering folk that forced him to wear a smile. The job wasn't terrible, but to be frank the kitsune was looking forward to a more quieter time when he got off from work. While he didn't mind a crowd, the crowds in here were a bit much for him making him want to hide out rather than deal with another student or answering the same question about whether he was an employee or not. He was just about to become a bit irritated with some rowdy students in his line and give them a piece of his mind when from the side lines the manager of the establishment pulled him off of registered so he could stock the shelves of missing items instead.
Taking a basket full of notebooks, erasers, and other items the kitsune left his post to another working student as he began to maneuver through crowds to restock the shelves. He was doing pretty well until he got to an isle where a rabbit girl and another were in the way of him restocking the erasers. He would see the display one gave, practically trying to hand over goods and cash to the other. While this was indeed strange, the creature wouldn't question it as he instead opened his mouth for another reason.
"Excuse me, but could you guys move a bit. I need to restock the erasers," he would say in a soft voice that somehow carried even over the noise of the crowd.

She tried her best to make sure regret was never anything she felt, Lavender had watched what regrets did to people she wanted no part of that when avoidable. That motivation, it had been what drove her to the Academy out of her old school, knowing she may regret it if she didn't go to the same school as the rest of her family when the twins enrolled here. She was the straight forward sort of girl, easily understanding her own self and thus remaining composed almost all the time thanks to it. Sadly, she was unaware that she didn't even actually know what she was. Out amongst the people on the campus was where she thrived, signing up for every class, club, sport and extra activity she could, always seeming to show up around her peers. Today her travels around to socialize and make new friends in this new school had pushed her towards the campus school supply store. Even though she had got school supplies hers had been purchased at the mall, not here, so it was a new place to meet people.
No official job existed in the store for what she was doing, but the volunteer work of helping clean up occasionally and run errands was enough for her. Aiding the student employee's? She had learned the location of everything which allowed her to help numerous peers find what they were looking for, always something that aided on the friend meter. Blue gaze landing on a girl with downturned rabbit ears, it was a no brainer to walk up with a friendly smile. "Are you looking for Erasers?" considering the direction of the 'rabbits' gaze and the expression Lavender could only guess she had been looking for erasers and failed to find any.
Disappointingly before she received any answer there was another two interruption's, the first of which was weird, the second typical. "Alright, I'll get it handled and meet you outside to give you the stuff." since the eraser's were being refilled she could only move onto helping the odd girl and check to see if the bunny girl needed any additional help afterwards. Of course, most people would likely gawk at what she had just agreed to do, but this was Lavender.

Hippity Hoppity get off my property tagged / notes / etc Within the blink of an eye, Lyra's wallowing depressive state was shattered as a miriad of people spoke to her. One a little girl, one a man, and one a woman. it was strange, why would they talk to her? Did she need any help? Did it look like she needed help from the likes of them? Such impudence caused a swell of anger in her mind, though she quashed it with great speed to keep up appearance. 'Sorry, I didn't meant to be in your way sir.' with a joyful fluffer in her voice Lyra spoke towards the man attempting to restock the part of the isle. In her head she viewed it as annoying how he wanted her to move, but since he was the deliever of erasers, she would let such inpudence slide by her for now. Still was strange, but a moment ago no one had really been around her, and now they reproduced like the plague, attempting to mingle and act friendly... or just do their jobs, which was the only acceptable excuse. With a delicate reach Lyra would attempt to swipe an eraser from the load the kitsune was carrying, he was going to restock anyway so why shouldn't she just... acquire what she wanted now?
Hopefully she wasn't stopped, otherwise, she'd look rather foolish in a moment as she looked towards the crazy woman who wanted her to pay for the items. Attempting to move the eraser across her nose Lyra would give a small but sickly smile, 'I like to erase my problems, so take your money and your problems, and don't make them my problems. You can wait in line in everyone else right?.' Far from being kind, Lyra would put up more of an act but the crowd infuriated her. It probably annoyed the other girl too, but considering Lyra was the one who originally obtained this pretigeous spot in the middle of nowhere. Normally Lyra would take pitty on the girl, because she clearly was so out of her element that it warrented Lyra's fake compassion, but right now she didn't want to try and help her... well not completely anyway. 'The acolyte's going to take your stuff and head outside? Why don't you see if this young strapping lad will help you out instead? I mean he works here, maybe there could be some line cuts.' Lyra flipped around with a bit of a pout on her lip to face the kitsune, 'Well... couldn't there?'

Adrisse didn't care who did it at this point. More people arrived around and now she just needed to get out. Her intentions had been to avoid stealing, and whether it was a favor the bunny girl did for her or the young girl, or even the older man stocking more erasers, she didn't give a flying crap. Avoiding a meltdown that resulted in destruction of property and trampling of people was the primary concern. She should have just wanted to buy items either online or wait until the beginning of school rush was over. Right now, she didn't even care if she got her items or her money back. She just needed out of the store, because it was as if there couldn't possibly be enough air in there for her, let alone all the other people sucking it up.
"A-ah, I know it's weird. I'm sorry...but I can't breathe in here!" she wheezed, the panic growing more obvious. Of course it would hit now. She felt dumb, but did she really want to bite this nice bunny girl? "T-Thanks!" she huffed at whoever was helping her, or even not helping her. Rushing past the two apparent store employees and the purple haired girl, if she clipped a shoulder she hadn't meant it in a bad way. Her feet took her through the crowd with urgency, speed increasing until she was nudging and shoving those by the door out of her way. Once the door was kicked open and she was back out in the open, her lungs inhaled deeply and expelled relief. Placing her hands on her hips and angling her face toward the sky for a moment of eye-closed peace, the crushing feeling of impending doom passed. Her body angled back toward the store, a pout appearing. Yep, everyone in there thought she was a weirdo. Adrisse almost just walked off to go pretend it didn't happen, but there was that small chance someone would use her money to buy her stuff and bring it to her...it'd be rude to ghost them like that.

This was turning out stranger and stranger wasn't it? He was just beginning to stock the erasers when a young lady came over to offer the pair already in the aisle a more kinder hand than he had. Look she was even willing to help out the girl that was having some sort of attack that made the kitsune wonder if she wouldn't just pass out there. He hoped she didn't. He didn't exactly want to carry her over to the nurse's office if it did happen. In any case, he'd try to keep an eye on her while stocking the erasers taking note that the bunny girl seemed go from depressed to animated in a flash as everyone decided to come over to the eraser aisle for one reason or another.
He saw her try to take an eraser, but instead of trying to stop her, he'd let the basket slid down his arm bit giving her easy access to what she sought. As long as she wasn't going to run out of the store with it without paying, he could care less if an eraser or two was swiped from his basket. However, what he didn't approve of was what the kid did next to the one that was panicking under the pressure. He would frown a bit as he listened to the what was said and then hearing about the line cuts he would shake his head. "Don't look to me for help on that one. You're welcome to fight the crowds for a spot in line, but otherwise you'll be waiting just like everyone else," he would say and then watch as the other pretty much had her break down and left her stuff and money to escape. Blinking, he would watch the girl go before looking towards the young woman that offered to help. "You'll get that for her right?" he asked with a raised eyebrow, his expression one of concern more so than anything. If the girl didn't do it then he would as soon as soon as he could. Though on the note of the girl that ran out, the kitsune's red eyes would turn back to the bunny eared girl as he tilted his head at her a bit. "Are you always that "nice" to folk in need?"

Lavender had a pretty good stretch of patience considering the way her little twin sisters could behave sometimes, so for the moment she was not truly bothered by the behavior of the rabbit eared girl. Truthfully, the human barely realized the rudeness or roughness however someone wanted to put it, she had gotten good at being a big girl for a few moments, not to say she didn't have her own temper it was just she had a string before she blew. Though, she did hope for the sake of everyone's sanity that people like this rabbit thing would be few and far between in this academy. If someone only wanted to regard their own problems, it let other issues stand the risk of becoming greater problems even possibly growing until it was their problem too, she much preferred to address things while they weren't that serious.
"This is school grounds."
Her hand covered her face in a bit of an exasperated expression as she mumbled it, no patience within her for flirting when everyone here should just be concerned with their education. First Jinn flirted with teachers, now this rabbit acted like she was no better than some common wild hare ready to hump the first thing that would let her, with that pouty lip and overdone compliment. With a friendly smile she turned to the man as he asked if she was getting things. "Yeah, I've got it. Everyone needs help sometime or another." holding the basket of the girl who had taken off outside she headed towards the lines. Most of the time things like this ran slow, but considering the traffic today all lanes were open so it was not bad as it could be and she got through fairly swiftly. "Also, my name is Lavender not Acolyte let me know if you ever need anything, alright?" even if the other girl was not all that sweet, it didn't bother her for now.
For the moment Lavender just occupied herself by slipping out of the store to find the girl who had run out before. "Here, and you had some change left I put it in the bag." it was simple enough to find the other girl, considering anyone who had seen her ran out was reasonably giving her space.
