Merlissa gently pats the head of a beautiful bird. It was certainly a sight. The birds gently sat upon the shoulders of the Yu Fu, who had her legs out for this class. The last thing she needed was the bird to start pecking her from distraction. The gently glowing cloth was wrapped around her legs as it shimmered under the lights of the classroom. The bird stared at it, before its feathers imitated the similar shimmer. Merlissa smiled, this was going to be a treat for the class today.
The tables were arranged in a way that formed of border semi circle around the center stage, where Merlissa and the bird were. The class was notably quiet, except for the notable bell sound that came whenever the bird shook its head. When the bird bobs its head it makes a whistle sound that varied in pitch. Merlissa pats the bird one last time before guiding it onto its perch where it happily tucks its head between its right wing. Merlissa smiles as she addresses the class.
"Good morning class. As you can see we already have our topic for today right now resting, after all I'm not sure how of you like waking up in the morning to begin with. I sure know one person hahaha~ Anyway to be serious now," Merlissa clears her throat. "There are two simple rules. No loud noises and no touching without permission. Unlike those in the Specialist class who deals with the more dangerous and more live specimens, you all will be dealing with more simpler creatures, some not even alive. Why is that so? The school wouldn't be happy if I brought in something dangerous in case some students are too immature or misbehave. I do however trust you all as a class to at least behave for me." Merlissa moves over to a golem holding a laptop and the lights turn off, showing a slideshow presentation of the bird.
"Today we are going to learn about something not too common, but is a fairly popular animal in the Mistere Zoo. This is the Eden Bird, and one of the many kinds of Eden bird I may add," Merlissa turns off the slideshow and picks up the Eden bird, who is now awake and shaking its head again, making the bell ringing, like yule bells chiming. "Now an interesting question, based on what you see right now, what kind of unique property does it have?" The Eden bird looks at a golem, then towards one of the pretty artworks in the classroom. The feathers shift to mimic the bright colors of the painting while putting the darker hues in appropriate spots on its body. The bird lets out a whistle, Merlissa reaching into a small pouch and giving it what looks like small fish.
