Name of Talent: Manifold Roulette
Concept: Manifold Roulette is a magical talent possessed by the current Majin embodying Odin - it is a talent that, representative of Odin's title as the god of sorcerers, encompasses all conceivable magic, allowing its user to bring any magical force to bear without the need for gimmicks, summoning rituals, or catalysts (with a few select exceptions). In this way one could consider it the "pinnacle of magic" or, alternatively, the "origin of magic", a spell that allows the use of all other spells.
Extra(s): N/A

Positive Mechanics:
- Typically doesn't require any prerequisites for casting spells, allowing an incredibly wide berth of magics to be brought to bear on the spot, making it the natural evolution of more limited magics that might require rituals, summoning circles, or other forms of prior setup.
- Its power and application can vary from "minor" to any logical extreme (within reason and following all OOC rules and restrictions, with permission required. Success of a spell still doesn't guarantee a hit or turning the tide of an encounter).
- Encompasses both utility and offensive based magics. The schools of alchemy and enchanting are included in this.
Negative Mechanics:
- Manifold Roulette, as the name implies, is reliant on chance to be capable of functioning. In short, there is a 50/50 failure-success probability for any spell cast, from the most minor and mundane to the most ridiculous and obscene. In combat success or failure will typically be determined by OOC coin flip for the sake of fairness (and fun), with exceptions made on a case-by-case basis, typically through prior OOC agreement. It is impossible to just "magic-away" these chance-based restrictions.
- Whenever Manifold Roulette fails, it has an additional chance (50/50) to either cause some form of magical backlash to its user's detriment, generally in the form of physical harm, or simply fail with either no backlash effect or an inconsequential effect.
- The severity of the magical backlash is generally proportional to the strength of the spell that was unsuccessfully cast. An attempt to augment one's strength to crush an incredibly hard material, for example, would likely shatter the user's bones, disintegrate muscle, or outright destroy their arm. Whereas a shield spell may fail and instead make her more vulnerable or likely to be hit by an attack, or a healing spell may heal her foe, instead. The proportion of the backlash is not always matched to the strength of the spell being cast, however - it is entirely possible for a minor spell to fail in a disproportionately spectacular way, but not vice-versa. This generally makes unnecessary use of spells a risky and undesirable outcome.
- Certain spells (enchanting objects, for example) may still require a setup of some kind beforehand; this may or may not be less than is typical. The 50/50 restriction is applied for each individual attempt for such spells, and does not guarantee success or failure for each subsequent use.
- Any relevant weaknesses in relation to the spell being cast will still apply unless specifically being altered to work around it (ie fire being put out by water).
- May not be used to simply mimic other talents.
