Rumors spread like wildfire around the campus of Eldritch Academy and around the city of Mystopolis, that deep within a location beneath the school known as, The Catacombs, lies treasure. While most rumors of the that variety would never hold water? The Catacombs had recently been declared off limits by Eldritch Academy and the city government! With all the secrecy and the rumors it wasn't long before the seal placed over the location was broken and eager explorers or curious adventurous sorts made their way within.
Once within The Catacombs three distinct groups formed to explore through the bone lined halls separately in an effort to increase their chances of discovering treasure or decrease their chance of getting caught. Following the first group, they have managed to find themselves in a warm plant filled hallway the path forward currently blocked by dense foliage that must somehow be destroyed or moved out of the way before they can proceed forward.

This was not the best idea that anyone had ever had, Ozaki knew it. But he also knew that a bunch of students were going to go, he might as well go along with them to make sure that they were safe. Ozaki had come prepared to use his talent as much as he might require, having extra needles and even a couple of blood packs just in case. Hopefully he would not need to use them.
This first obstacle might melt away with some of his special acid. But he did not want to use that much blood right from the get go. He reached up and grabbed one of the leaves of the foliage with his thumb and forefinger, trying to comb through of the depths of his mind to see if there was anything particularly special about this. Or if it was just a plain old plant that could stand to be burned or removed.
Treasures came in more than one shape. It was useful to slow down and look at what you were wrecking before moving forward. “Anyone recognize this kind of plant?” Ozaki asked, hoping the knowledge of the group might cover that which he did not know.
He half suspected that the warmth of the hallway had something to do with it. Down here in the catacombs shouldn’t be this warm, even if there was some light filtering in. The vampiric inventory manager had his hood pulled up, covering his face in pure shadow just in case that was actual sunlight pouring in. His hand was safe for now, as it was in the shade of being so close to the wall.

Drawn to the catacombs by his curious, inquisitive nature, he quickly found a group to explore with. He gives a knowing nod to Sharaku, greeting him, before moving forward. A wall, covered with plants extends further into the corridors into the catacombs, very quickly stopping their trip into the catacombs. The air is warm, thick, filled with humidity, and
he sneezes. Pollen?
He eyes the others around him, and frowns slightly. "No, but it’s very similar to something I’ve seen before." Especially, on a potentially dangerous mission, he has two large canteens hanging off of a tight twine belt, along with a skin tight athletic top, that despite its thin material, was constructed with combat in mind. His hand grazes past them, opening on slightly, drawing water and then promptly freezing it. Resembling a pocket knife, one side is comparable to a blade.
He’s no stranger to alchemy, and to a lesser extent—botany. The leafy foliage, when inspected closely, can reveal tiny, white flowers—small, but definitely in bloom, spreading their pollen everywhere.
Pushing away any fear of the unknown nature of the plant, he picks off a bud with the help of his knife and holds it into the focus of his vision. He shakes his head. "Well, no. Nevermind." While the petals looks the same, the insides are different. The anthers are shaped differently and are in different configurations.
The plant he originally thought it was has strong medicinal properties and is quite rare. Having it grow here (and in such quantity) would be an alchemist’s dream.
Well, too bad, he guesses.
He continues observing the plant, finding aphids and other small bugs among its tri-pointed leaves. "But. I’m pretty sure it isn’t dangerous. Probably just a type of wall ivy… Judging by the leaves. I think it’s safe to either push our way through or cut it down."

The plants within the large hall seemed to be growing remarkably well for the lack of constant sunlight in the area. Left untouched for so long anything was possible when one considered that no one had hunted here since forever, meaning nothing would be simple as mere wall ivy, though most of the room was indeed covered in such. The exact ivy that Mr.Ozaki had his hand on would suddenly twitch to life beneath the vampire and attempt to grab him. It was a living variety of wall ivy, and apparently from the way it had suddenly started lashing around did not enjoy talk of it being cut down.

Ozaki jolted his hand away as it tried to grab for him, pulling out his dagger and pointed it at the offending plant. There were two red grooves in its side, and if one were to look at it they would see that the grooves were not simply colored that way, but that that that was actually blood. It was a vampiric blood dagger, and like its name sake it could drain the blood of those it struck.
Odds were they’d be needing a lot more than a blood sticker to get them through this though. “Probably should have asked before we all came down here… But what are all of your talents? I’ve got blood conversion myself. I can manipulate blood into any substance I’ve felt the effects of.”
He would rather not lead with telling his talent considering it could make some a bit squeamish. But if he was going to ask their own talents, might as well be upfront about his own. The process of learning a new substance was more complicated than he was admitting here, but the level of detail he had given was more than enough for their purposes.
