welcome to Eldritch Academy
In a world of myths and mysteries, the pinnacle of the magical academies exists. Eldritch Academy offers education to all ages and species but specializes in the study and training of one's innate mystical capabilities, often called Eldritch Energies, Powers, or Unknowns, but more formally known as their Talent. However, tensions run high with the nations only holding a fragile peace as the Talents that rival the epitomes of technology change the balance of power.
With the more recent uprising of evil Shades and introduction of combat-oriented programs into Talent-focused schools, nations grow more aggressive towards one another. The demand for resources grows, and skirmishes at the border of Arka and Mistere become more frequent. Monsters run into the nations from the Wildes, terrorizing villages and cities. The need for trained or in-training Hunters and Guardians has never been more urgent.

Today Capone was in charge. It was Akeldama’s day off from school and she was masquerading as a thirty five old woman with long purple hair wearing classes. With any luck people would assume she was a teacher… It wasn’t like people could know all the teachers in this school after all. She had dyed and cut Akeldama’s hair after aging her body up to thirty five. If it weren’t in a bun how terribly the hair had been done would be clearly showing. But buns were terrible hairstyles no matter what you did with them. That at least was Capone’s opinion.
She wore a pair of sunglasses to disguise the fact that rather than reading her book, her eyes were scanning the school grounds, looking for a target for today’s fun. Would she kill them? Maybe. Maybe not.
Depended on whether they’d be more fun dead or alive to her.

The Vamp Wolf | The majority of students would most likely appreciate free time way more than being burdened with a day of classes, but there were many times where Sharaku would almost swear classes were the better option. At least if he were in class, he wouldn't have to be annoyed by a bunch of loud students at the dorms, and subsequently forced to take a trip outside to get away from all the nonsense. It couldn't be said that the school grounds were empty no matter how one looked at it, but he found it way more tolerable when he wasn't stuck in closed quarters with bothersome people than when a couple of them were within his vicinity outside. It was much easier to walk away and avoid in the latter case after all, and he was certainly quite intent on playing that game today, as long as he could.
The tall young man sighed to himself as he tried his best to ignore everyone as he walked, though his gaze would eventually briefly pause on the purple haired woman that came into his field of vision. Not that he'd normally care, but he did have a good memory, and despite the fact that she looked like she could be part of the staff in some way, he didn't think he had seen her before. As a matter of fact though, how often did the people working here hang around casually anyway? Well, not like he'd know that tidbit of information, as much as it did pose some sort of curiosity if nothing else. That said, he didn't seem to be intent on making a move of any sort for the moment as he didn't particularly think there was much in it for him, but he could at least appreciate not being in the middle of any big ruckus right now. "Hm...." |

Damn. Thought Capone as she saw him. How delightful it would be to be a college student right now. Right around his age… But she had already donned the guise of this middle aged woman. If anyone tried to investigate his murder they would be on the hunt for a forty year old woman with purple hair. People had already seen Akeldama’s body in its college years, as well as a child. Not that most would remember, but this age was the safest to do it at if she was going to be doing any unsavory activities today.
Capone closed her book she had been pretending to read and took off her sunglasses. "Need something?"

The Vamp Wolf | Huh? Golden eyes would blink at first, as he internally considered what type of reaction was his best choice in this case. Frankly, he was never sure what to say to people addressing him, especially when he had no idea why exactly were doing so. Then again, he figured this one was probably partially his fault, as exasperating as that fact was. Deciding to stick with a neutral expression for now, Sharaku would shake his head slightly. "...No, not really." A brief pause. "Well, you just don't look like a student, but I don't think I've seen you before. I was simply wondering. That's all.", he'd add after a moment of contemplation, offering a faint shrug. He could have just lied, but he didn't really see the point of it at the moment. If he was already stuck talking, might as well try to get an answer for what caught his attention in the first place. |

“I’m a teacher here.” Capone said, holding her hand out to the other man. “Ally Kalutz is the name, and yours?” She had come up with the name on the fly, and had thrown in a little easter egg that odds were he’d never figure out. You’d have to know her true name in order to really get it, and even then it was only just a nod to it. Nothing special. But it was fun to lie straight to his face yet give tiny little hints as to her true identity.

The Vamp Wolf | Nope, he still had no idea. Not to say he could claim he knew all the teachers, but their names were generally not that hard to have heard as one had to sign up for classes. Nevertheless, even if he wanted to be suspicious, he wasn't too interested in getting in more trouble than necessary, which at this point seemed avoidable if nothing else. "Sharaku Rikei." He'd give his name, taking the handshake, before switching to a somewhat questioning look. Well, he could still ask though. "What do you teach? I don't recall coming across your name before." He was half sure he was going to regret taking that direction, but perhaps it didn't really matter. He had a penchant for jumping right into a mess in the end anyway, even if he'd swear he didn't want to. |

Perhaps she ought have come prepared. But improvising was just so much fun. She had but a moment to decide what class she would say she was teaching. A middle school one seemed safe. Even if he had been going to this school for that long, the odds of him remembering all the names of his middle school teachers was unlikely. Plus. She was fresh on remembering quite a few of them given that she’d helped Akeldama pick her classes.
And by helped she meant signed Akeldama up for classes she didn’t want, but would ultimately prove helpful anyways. “Introduction to Gem Inscription. I work with the middle school.”

The Vamp Wolf | "..." Well, there was that. Even though he saw some class stuff that wasn't relevant to him, it'd be farfetched to say he knew much about any of that. Not only he had not been here for that long, but he had actually never attended middle school in the first place anyway. Complicated circumstances and all, but he hadn't done much school before college level. He didn't feel like he was missing much anyway. That said, he wouldn't be able to tell a whole lot from this, even if he tried. "Sounds like a rather tedious thing. Should I feel bad for the kids?" Eh, time to roll with things for now. In all honesty, he wasn't very interested, regardless of whether that was an actual class being taught right now or not, but it was....courteous to show some interest, yes? |

Capone put a hand to her chest and gasped in mock offense. “Why I never!” She cracked a grin to show that she was joking. This was going well so far seeing as he hadn’t just walked off. Granted well was a pretty low bar. “Those that come into it are usually trying to figure out their talents. So they either love it or hate it.”

“Normally, but its my day off. And also, the class is usually only one people of that age take if they have to, be it required by their parents or talents.” It wasn’t a weekend, but even middle school didn’t have the same classes every day. Particularly not these talent based ones. That was at least how regular middle school went. She’d never been to this one, so mostly she was talking out of her tail. Which she didn’t have in this body. She missed that more than she ought. “I wanted to get out and find someone to spend some time with is all."

The Vamp Wolf | "Well, I never said it couldn't be taken out of interest or such either way. I simply think it may not come across as very appealing to kids of that age, generally speaking. That's all there is to it." To each their own in the end, but he didn't think he'd be extremely interested in that either. It sounded like something that was possible without a talent as well, which would make it come down to other factors. What was so important about writing on gems? Well, maybe he'd never know, although he couldn't say he particularly cared about that knowledge either. Gems were nice to look at, but it more or less ended at that for him. In any case, the tall young man would raise an eyebrow slightly. "Assuming you're free, then some other teachers would be too. Why not seek their company? Usually, teachers and students having casual chats could end up as an awkward endeavor, as far as I'm aware." Truth to be told, he personally did not care unless he was being looked down upon for unfair reasons, but nevertheless, it sounded way more plausible to go after those of your own position if you could. |

Capone put her fist on her head, staring up at the student. He was so calm, so neutral and non-committal about everything. So dull. She put the book in her bag and stood up. “Perhaps you’re right.” Capone could try and lead him to her secret lair or whatever in order to kill him, but honestly this conversation was too dull to even continue that far. She got up and started walking away. “Laters kid.”

The Vamp Wolf | Well, that was far too simple. Indeed, Sharaku was aware that he came off as very matter-of-fact most of the time, and generally wasn't bothered by it. Really though, part of the reason was that he was very easily bored and disinterested in things that just weren't catching his attention properly. The woman had only given him basic, not very in depth responses throughout that conversation, and thus he had no reason to be inclined to go a whole lot further himself. Still, he had to wonder. If what she really wanted was to have company during her off time, as she herself had put it, she didn't appear to be making the best of efforts to achieve that. She had only addressed him after he had given her minor attention, and had been staring at a book until then. Plus she was being deterred this easily? Frankly, he wasn't sure what he was supposed to think of her. Teachers should be more engaging, no? He was kind of bored by this, but he didn't have anything better to do, and as they say, curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back. He'd offer her a snort at the sudden dismissal of hers. "For someone who just said they wanted to hang out with someone, you really don't give a good impression of that. You weren't actively going around looking for company before you decided to speak to me either. And you give up so easily. Makes me wonder what you expected to see. A circus performance?" |

Could it be she had done it again? Blaming others for their dullness and her boredom when it was she herself who had failed in bringing out their inner most intrigues? Perhaps in this case it was she who had been the boring one… Granted in this case it would be the both of them that were boring, not just her. The very thought was wince worthy to her.
Though to be fair with her, she was trying to fit in and blend. To be unseen yet still be able to draw in a victim to her liar. But she had failed to reach the minimum bar of interest in order to actually interest someone in a conversation with her… He’d seemed frankly bored the whole time he was talking to her.
She’d been playing as someone quite boring, that much she could at least admit to herself. “Frankly… I had been hoping for something akin to it.” Capone said, letting a her natural devilish grin slip into place. A far cry from the almost librarian feel she had been going for before. “And who’s to say I wasn’t looking? You couldn’t see my eyes beyond the sunglasses I was wearing.”
