♦ FAME/INFAMY SYSTEM ♦
As a character continues to roleplay, go on Quests, and complete private or open socials, a character may begin to collect ‘Fame’ or ‘Infamy’ based on their actions. Fame and Infamy is simple. Based on the outcome of threads, characters can become increasingly famous and popular, or increasingly infamous and popular.
Fame and Infamy are calculated using a point system called Fame/Infamy Points (FIP for short) The higher you are above 0 (positive numbers), the more famous you are. The lower you are below 0 (negative numbers), the more infamous you are. Your Fame or Infamy can waver based on good or bad deeds and outcomes in thread. If your character does something deemed ‘bad’ in a thread, their Fame will go down and can eventually work its way down to them being considered Infamous. Gaining fame is defined as doing noticeably good things, while gaining Infamy is defined as doing noticeably bad things. Players may opt out of FIP whenever they desire.
♦ HOW TO EARN ♦
• Characters can earn Fame/Infamy by completing threads. Socials and Quests can reward 1 FIP.
• These threads must have a clear, distinct end, marked as such in an out of character section of the post in each player’s last post in the thread. When a player is finished with the thread and their character has a means of closing the thread’s story or exiting, they will mark such in their posts. For socials to count, all players with characters present must post a conclusive end or exit for the thread.
• The player turning in the thread must state if the thread had a good (Fame) or bad (Infamy) outcome. This may vary per character. Use the honor system; staff will be reading the thread.
• Socials must include something that earns the FIP earning. Fighting a monster or good character development will earn FIP, a walk in the park or just some characters eating lunch with nothing more will not.
• By going on Quests with teammates, a character can earn up to 2 FIP. This does not stack with Faculty FIP.
• By completing Quests and socials with Faculty where the teacher is mentoring or teaching the student, all parties may obtain 2 FIP. This does not stack with Team FIP.
• Events can grant FIP of varying amounts.
