♦ GROUPS IN SKIAGIS ♦
Groups are made up of almost anything, from various jobs to organizations, and possibly after school clubs. While they are called groups, in reality this is a blanket term since it is designed to incorporate the entirety of society on Eldritch Academy. To this end Groups are segmented into two types, Categorical Group and Distinct Groups. Characters can change Categorical Groups and Distinct Groups at any time, however, keep in mind changing too often is frowned upon without good IC reason, simply because it makes it harder to those in said groups to keep plot lines consistent.
♦ CATEGORICAL GROUPS ♦
Categorical Groups are, currently, made up of 11 different types. These categories are designed to provide the baseline format for what a group is all about. Naturally being a part time worker at a restaurant wouldn’t be the same as being a chief scientist, that is why these exist. In regard to Categorical Groups, characters can only select 3 in total to be apart of.
Civilian: All civilian work is here, restaurant worker/owner to office job.
Economical: From being a broker to a bank worker.
Educational: Teacher to part time instructor.
Eldritch: Focuses on the study of all things to do with Eldritch energy, from the application both on and off the battlefield.
Entertainment: Movie stars to stand up comedians.
Medical: From salesman of medical goods to doctors.
Militaristic: Covers all things military and peace keeping, from general to police officer.
Political: Politicians, from simple city councilman to government senator.
Religious: Working for one of the many church’s or being a practitioner of certain religions in a more formal way.
Scientific: Covers the natural sciences, can also cover unnatural sciences so long as it isn’t directly related to the study of eldritch energy.
Special: Academy Clubs: Clubs that occur after school or during school. Only those who are students/teachers at the academy can have this archetype, but it doesn’t count against their total.
♦ DISTINCT GROUPS ♦
Distinct Groups are the smaller concepts that make up Groups. While being a civilian means you could have any civilian job, a Distinct Group means you work at a certain establishment, or say you are a teacher at the school, but you want to show distinct expertise in a subject, make a group about it and potentially gain IC colleagues in the subject. Example: A player wants their character to be a student and work part time at a café, so the player chooses the civilian Categorical Group and then for a Distinct Group they create the café. This creation allows for others, up to the number of people allowed to join the Specific Group and all share something in common.
Distinct Groups main limit is creativity and how a player wishes to make them, however characters can only join up to 3 specific groups per Categorical Group that they have. In total this means a character may be apart of up to 3 Categorical Groups, and in each of those. Categorical Groups may join up to 3 Distinct Groups.
♦ GROUP CREATION & PROGRESSION ♦
♦ Groups can be created and posted in the 'Groups of Skiagis' board. You can detail any and all information in your group thread and include a roster.
• Groups can earn their own Fame/Infamy Points (FIP). This is done by the group completing a Group Quest with two or more group members.
• Upgrades for Groups can be purchased in the Shardshop. Upgrades include subboards and fame/infamy points. Purchased FIP is capped at 5 per month.
