Nyx has been taught from as early as she can remember to flee whenever conflict begins and never do anything that may cause others to attempt fighting her. Freakishly peaceful is the best way to describe her, she won't even put up a push if someone steals from her! She's blindly compliant with what people ask of her, never questioning why they want her to behave in a certain way. Most of the time if one speaks to her she seems to be the lonely sort who doesn't have many friends, even though there seems to be nothing wrong with her expect for the fact she want's to argue on every subject and that she has also been discouraged from being overly social with others. While the conditioning from Askel to return the once violent and blood thirsty Nyx to a good nearly 'human' girl was mostly successful, she still has random bursts of her true nature. When Nyx has an explosion? She is very jubilant, must more social, beyond comfortable in her own skin to the point it almost seems cocky, and above all she has an absolute obsession with blood, namely spilling it.



History: 

Born as an absolutely normal human, expect for psychic powers, this girl had a long road to becoming the bloodthirsty devil she has since turned into! The road changed for Nyx when she hooked up with a band of supernatural hunters in another world for the last few years of middle school, working with them during holidays, summers, and special cases. However, they were far from picky on what sort of beasts or hauntings they exterminated, never even bothering to question if the target in question needed to be killed or not. Unwittingly, the teenager became a monster that would kill anything unlike herself and other humans, out of fear given to her by the tales of her comrades. Eventually, this road led to a troublesome Tanuki turning Nyx into something inhuman herself, a Kasha who had to survive by eating humans who interpreted themselves as sinners to send their souls to hell. Distraught in this life, she never thought it would lead her to the best thing in her life. 

Eventually living as a feline she found religion, she met her god walking among men for his own purposes. This god through no excessive effort of his own, managed to be a catalyst for her learning to accept her bloodlust and enact her desire with honor. Nyx became a disciple of the blood god and has since spent her life in service to him. Ultimately nearly passing in battle, the god decided she was worthy of revival, granting her a new body and life in eternal service to him.

Nyx continued her service to the blood god, until something interfered. An elderly woman who had been Nyx's mother before she was revived by her god chose to try to use underhanded methods to 'save' her daughter from the devil she was convinced had possessed her. Captured the blood worshipper eventually was forced to drink a potion that wiped as much of her memory as it could, but more importantly would keep her from knowing to mentally call out to her god. Thus, Nyx was taken by Askel to live in Mistre, the travel changing her.

Name of Species: Blood Devils.
 

Baseline Dimension: Blood Devils range in size from 3 feet to 8 feet tall, weighing between 60 to 200 pounds depending, appearing to be humans expect for their inhuman features.

Baseline Appearance: Blood devil's can feature any array of known colors on their hair, eyes, skin, elfin ears, wings, horns, and tails. While the wings are almost always bat like, the horns and tail tend to follow no set rules.

Culture/Origin of Species: While no one is exactly sure where this subspecies of devils came from? The rumor is they were created from other species, blessed to be something more by a god they worshipped. At one time this unconfirmed backstory caused the Blood Devils to be venomous towards other species, seeing them as nothing more than blood to shed. However, in the modern day this once extremely aggressive war loving species has calmed considerably under treaty's and heavily enforced medical aid. While today they mostly just exist as live wire's with explosive tempers instead of berserk soldiers with nothing but blood on their mind? The desire they carry for blood should never be underestimated. Almost all Blood Devils are trained for careers within the military as subordinates to specialized units, jobs as highly skilled hunters or other such niche's in life where shedding blood is not only permitted but sometimes encouraged to aid them in fitting into a society that is no longer wrought with the constant war they thrived on.


Traits:
• The ability that earned Blood Devil's their name is their knack at controlling any blood that has already been shed for use as a combat instrument, wielding it as naturally as a sword to shed more blood.
• Having been a warring species for so long, these creatures have an incredible strength both psychically and with talents. +3 in strength
• Regardless of their appearance the reputation of Blood Devils precedes them, reducing enemy resilience by -1 when they become aggressive.
• Possessing large wings at the base of their spine makes these violent creatures capable of shockingly graceful flight.
• Blood Devils possess fang's, claws and tails easily capable of puncturing through flesh to get access to the blood beneath, their tail even able to siphon it out.
• Within their fangs is a venom that prompts blood cells to multiply at 10x the normal rate, most of the time they use it as tool to help avoid killing whoever they feed from since they need an insane volume of blood.
• Able to teleport between collections of blood outside of the body so long as they can touch it.
• Even though they are less known for it due to it being more difficult to obtain, Blood Devil's can manipulate bone the same way they can do blood. Meaning they can freely adjust the shape of their bone made horns.
• Being so enthralled with combat, they don't suffer from loosing health during battle instead acting as if they have sustained no damage until the moment they die.
• While violent they are fans of honor combat, thus they possess the odd ability to release others from mind control or other forms of servitude if they have a higher strength than the one casting it. Must be aware of the control first.
• Killing a blood devil is actually exceedingly difficult as their souls will craft new bodies out of viable blood, meaning one must contain them away from blood that is not their own at time of death or they will be back like a phoenix.
• Even if it doesn't always negate 'damage' these devils are capable of reconstructing every part of their body with blood, expect for their tails internal functions.
• Made for war, Devil's display strength many times above what they seemingly should have at a glance, easily able to pick up and throw exceedingly heavy objects should they get a grip on them. Their limit seems to be somewhere around 4 tons give or take.
• They can freely change the temperature of their own blood which can reflect on their body, giving them the ability to sometimes force someone to let go of them by super heating or super cooling themselves to the point or burn or freeze. As this ability developed over centuries the devil's face no drawback for doing this.



Flaws:
• Like vampires, they actually drink blood to survive, making it impossible for them to avoid in spite of the risk of getting too close to it. Unlike slow metabolism vampires, Devils have swift metabolisms and must feed every few days or they will grow weak and die soon after.
• Due to their heavy reliance on blood, it becomes a major weakness for them. A Blood Devil will often do anything requested of them for just a taste of blood, no matter how dangerous or possibly illegal they are unable to resist when the blood is in their sight.
• After feeding, Blood Devils fall into a lulled state much like a half slumber where they are much like cats high on catnip. While they are no longer a danger to others with their need sated for a brief moment? They are vulnerable to outside attack as this is their least alert state.
• Blood Devil's rely on their wings for flight, so if these wings are damage beyond their natural regeneration the devil is grounded for good.
• Overtime this bloodthirsty species evolved to be able to sate itself able to store about 6 liters of blood within them to suck on in order to calm themselves. Any damage to their tails entirely cuts off this ability, making it harder for the devil to remain both fed and calm. The tail is prehensile but they rarely use it for that as they can't risk the damage.
• Their reliance and obsession with blood is so drastic that it is entirely common for Blood Devil's to be riddled with self inflicted injuries as injuring other's means risking losing control and actually killing someone. Though sometimes they accidentally take it too far and need medical aid for this.
• Due to being a species saturated to the brim with war and bloodshed? It is entirely common for Blood Devil's to be faced with persecution or even be attacked by people who believe they should have been exterminated instead of transitioned into civilized society due to the fear that any one of the species will lose control and go on a massacre.
