In a world of myths and mysteries, the pinnacle of the magical academies exists. Eldritch Academy offers education to all ages and species but specializes in the study and training of one's innate mystical capabilities, often called Eldritch Energies, Powers, or Unknowns, but more formally known as their Talent. However, tensions run high with the nations only holding a fragile peace as the Talents that rival the epitomes of technology change the balance of power.
With the more recent uprising of evil Shades and introduction of combat-oriented programs into Talent-focused schools, nations grow more aggressive towards one another. The demand for resources grows, and skirmishes at the border of Arka and Mistere become more frequent. Monsters run into the nations from the Wildes, terrorizing villages and cities. The need for trained or in-training Hunters and Guardians has never been more urgent.

Concept: This talent comes directly from Oras' existence as an Atranoch. Specifically his element: Glacier. This talent gives him the ability to create/generate ice, snow and frost in however way he sees fit, as well as control the ice/snow/frost around him. There are of course certain limitations, but overall it's a very powerful talent for Oras to possess. His talent however is unique, different from other Atranoch abilities. This is thanks to both his minimal knowledge granted from the Abstract realm, as well as learning a bit of chemistry and science. Oras can create multiple forms of ice, all of them functional. (Forms listed in the positive mechanics section)
Extra(s):
- Building off of his Atranoch abilities, Oras can cool himself and the area around him almost instantly. The only restrictions are if he's on fire.
- While Oras can take on the shape of any species he likes, his hair will always remain a frosty/snowy white. His eyes can shift between snow white and light blue.
- Small uses of his talent, such as making a small figurine of ice, tools of ice, or small batteries (by use of form 6 ice).
- Whenever he uses his talent, or if he's storing more than his usual amount of energy, an icy blue aura engulfs him and his eyes glow.
Positive Mechanics:
Forms of Ice: All of Oras' positive mechanics are affected in some way by what form of ice he uses at that moment. The effects of his ice when he uses his talent will differ and depend on what form he is using. These forms of ice cover solid shards of ice, snow, and even frost. Oras can even affect his own true form and turn himself into different forms of ice. Each form (other than form 1) counts as it's own positive mechanic.
- Form 1 Ice - (Note: This form is not a positive mechanic and is listed here for completion purposes) This is the form of ice everyone is used to seeing. It is typical all across the globe.
- Form 2 Ice - Oras can create ice that is both a solid and a liquid at the same time. This can therefore (like liquids) flow past small cracks or openings and still act like ice, acting as a weapon, shield, whatever it need be. Does not count as ice or water. This makes any abilities of his more maneuverable and evasive.
- Form 3 Ice - Oras can create ice that is very highly resistant to electricity, and by extension lightning. This allows Oras to make attacks that are unhindered, or rather less likely to be hindered by lightning/electricity elements, as well as shields that do the same. Lightning is less likely to hit due to it's low conductivity.
- Form 4 Ice - Oras can create ice that is highly resistant to heat. While it can still melt at extreme temperatures, it's less likely to do so. This ice will never melt due to natural heat, whether it be summer heat or the heat of a fireplace. This ice can only be melted if struck by fire used by another being's talent, and even then it won't melt instantly. Increases his fire resistance as long as his ice is in this form.
- Form 5 Ice - Contrary to form 3 Ice, this form allows Oras to create ice that actually stores electricity. He can store up to a massive amount of electricity and then use it how he sees fit. While he cannot control the electricity, he can release/discharge it from the ice it's been stored in. This can be useful given creativity, and under the right circumstances.
- Form 6 Ice - Most ice is seen (and rightly so) as fragile. This form of ice however is far more dense, sturdy and strong. Shards and sheets of ice could be the equivalence of stone, while massive boulders could be the strength and durability of steel. This makes it easier to create a shield. All of Oras' talent abiilties will be far more durable, making granting him +1 resilience as long as his ice is in this form.
- Form 7 Ice - This is by far the most unusual form of ice. Instead of being cold to the touch, this form of ice is in fact extremely hot. Not the 'dry ice' sense of hot, but in the literal sense. This ice could range from 150 degrees fahrenheit, to 800 degrees fahrenheit. This allows his attacks to temporarily switch from glacier and frozen talents, to something similar to fire, or more accurately burn talents.
- Instant Creation - Oras can immediately create ice from nowhere. Whether it's a projectile, a tool, a wall, a weapon, structure, etc. So long as Oras is not hot in any way shape or form, he can create nearly anything. He can even create ice up to a certain distance away (around 80 meters or so) without using a projectile or coming into contact with it. If the area around him is freezing level, or if there is ice in the nearby area, he can create anything without consuming energy... Assuming there is enough of it.
Example: Oras can create a sword made of ice in his hands, fire several icicles at his foes, cause massive ice spikes to emerge from the ground in a burst, etc. Or he can create a hammer, pliers, lock pick, etc.
- Accumulating Ice - (Toggle ability. Oras must intend to use this for it to activate) Every time Oras touches someone with his skin, dense frost begins to spread on them. This frost can be broken off relatively easy, but after about up to five seconds it becomes ice which is more difficult to break off. The more the ice grows, the denser it becomes, making it harder to take off, as well as increasing the weight of the individual. This weight slowing them down greatly. He can also cover a weapon with ice and say 'accumulate' to get the same effect through the weapon (which turns into an extension of himself)
- Kinetic Shift - (Toggle ability. Oras must intend to use this for it to activate) Every time Oras touches someone with his skin he drains their kinetic energy. By cooling them down, he transfers the heat into his own body. This heat is immediately turned into kinetic energy as his body cools immediately. The result is with each physical contact he gains a short boost of speed (+1). In order to keep the speed going he has to touch someone again.
- Instant Freeze - Oras can cast an effect over his ice that will instantly freeze anyone it comes into contact with. This can come in three forms. The first is through a projectile. The second is by creating a sheet of ice over a weapon or object he is holding. And the third is by coating his hand in ice. The projectile, weapon or hand must come into contact with the opponent in order to work.
- Freeze Over - Oras' talent has a strong advantage over the water element. While this may seem odd, this comes from Oras' hard studying and practicing. With knowledge on how to turn water and vapor into a solid (ice), it's very easy for him to do so. Therefore, when his freezing ice is used on water or vapor, it will automatically freeze regardless of what type of water it is.
- Hypothermia - Oras' talent has a strong advantage over the nature/vegetation element. Beyond the fact that the cold is harmful to most plants, most plants require water or liquid of some form. Therefore any move made against him will be slowed greatly as the vegetation cools almost instantly from the inside out. It's also easier for him to freeze vegetation as well.
- Improvised Equip - Since Oras can create ice out of nowhere, he can also conjure up equipment at will. However that's more or less a passive ability. What isn't a passive ability is his ability to create any weapon he wishes in an instant, as well as his ability to create armor for himself whether in material form or in his true form. He can also create a sort of second skin of ice that allows him to deal stronger melee attacks with his hands and feet.
Negative Mechanics:
The seven forms can change a fight if used right, but they all have limitations.
- Weakened - Oras is strong but he has his weaknesses. Oras is especially weak to fire talents and traits, and even though he has a form of ice that is resistant to fire, it does not make him immune to it's effects. Because of this, he takes twice as much damage from fire created by talents or traits. His form 4 ice can last hits against fire longer, but are still weaker to fire than any other element or attack.
- Limited - While Oras can store electricity in Form 5 Ice, he cannot convert it into any energy he himself can absorb.
- Burning Area - While Oras can create hot ice, he cannot control what it effects or doesn't. If he creates ice hot enough, he could accidentally burn others besides his opponent.
- Property - Oras may be able to control his own ice, as well as the ice from the surrounding area. However he may not control the ice of talents or traits conjured by other individuals.
