In a world of myths and mysteries, the pinnacle of the magical academies exists. Eldritch Academy offers education to all ages and species but specializes in the study and training of one's innate mystical capabilities, often called Eldritch Energies, Powers, or Unknowns, but more formally known as their Talent. However, tensions run high with the nations only holding a fragile peace as the Talents that rival the epitomes of technology change the balance of power.
With the more recent uprising of evil Shades and introduction of combat-oriented programs into Talent-focused schools, nations grow more aggressive towards one another. The demand for resources grows, and skirmishes at the border of Arka and Mistere become more frequent. Monsters run into the nations from the Wildes, terrorizing villages and cities. The need for trained or in-training Hunters and Guardians has never been more urgent.

For a moment there was a nagging worry that he wouldn’t be a good person to teach at all. Maybe he wasn’t good enough... That thought he quickly crushed. So long as you were smart about it, hunting could be easy. If not a bit dull at times. His method was very effective, could could also be repetitive. Once the needle was all down being set up he sat down on a chair next to Sharaku, keeping half an eye out for any new donors that might come in. The vampire nodded in agreement with the vampire werewolf beside him. “The phlebotomy class was a nightmare. Thirty people’s too much for a class that requires precise demonstrations like that.”

 The Vamp Wolf  | He spent a few moments glaring at the needle, before shifting his gaze to look off in a random direction instead. “I think…it doesn’t have to be so bad if the teacher knows how to organize. An outside class is tough with many because it requires supervision which you can’t do properly with a bunch of excited students running about. In a class setting though…you can still do demonstrations even with more people, as long as you don’t let it get chaotic. And in case time is an issue, it could always be an extended class so there’s no reason to rush.” You could always show it off, have the students watch in a circle around you or whatever. Answering the questions should not be hard, and having them all try one by one was manageable too. It would all just take more time than with a smaller class. Plus, those who wanted to be disruptive could get kicked out of the class, in case it was really necessary to maintain class standards. “Thirty could be manageable, though more than that would likely be a strain, given that you can hold a class for only so long at once in the end.” Of course, some limits had to be in place still. “Anyway, I’d assume it comes down to the teacher in question, and what they feel capable of handling. Probably shouldn’t go over their own limits.” |

The girl had heard of a blood drive that was going on off somewhere in campus. From what she had researched, it was specifically for the feeding of vampires so that they would not prey upon people. Fair enough, in her eyes. The blood packets had to come from somewhere, after all. Taking extra measures to conceal the darkness already flowing through her veins, Inglisse made her way to the place where the drive was being held. She was human; seemingly a favorite among many species for blood. With a mystical charm she created, she kept her blood seemingly so, hiding the Sacramentum that was constantly flowing through it. Oftentimes, the abyssal energy and matter gave her blood a dark or black tint, but with use of a long-lasting spell, it would appear as the standard type A+ blood, red in color.
She noted Sharaku, a fellow student who lived in the Sage dormitory, was present. Eyeing the faculty member she suspected was in charge, Inglisse spoke eloquently and politely, but not before throwing an amiable wave in Sharaku’s direction. “Good afternoon, who should I speak to about blood donation?” she asked.

"I'll take that under advisement for myself.... Yah. We practiced on one another in that class. And you wouldn't believe. Or maybe you would believe. After they got over the nervousness of trying it on me, a lot of them got a riot out of sucking out a vampire's blood."
Then the new person in the room spoke. Ozaki genuinely hated being stuck in this damn teenage body. No one automatically assumed he was the one to go to. If he were in an adult’s body there would be no question at all. The vampire got up from his seat, being sure to keep a calm, amicable look on his face despite his inner turbulence. “That would be me. Though first I’m going to need you to fill out a quick form. Simple stuff really.”
He handed her a clip board with the form attached. Name, gender, blood type. Whether or not they had any blood transmittable diseases...

Sharaku and the young-looking man, presumably a vampire, continued talking as the girl went on to fill out the paperwork. It was tedious like any papers to be filled out, but she understood how necessary such things could be at times. Taking the clipboard, Inglisse filled out the simplistic form with a ballpoint pen. Within seconds, she had written down her name, gender, noted that her blood was type A positive, and wrote “N/A” under blood transmittable diseases.
The charm she had placed on herself was still working and would continue to work on the blood that was to be taken from her. The sacramentum within her bloodstream had various effects on those it came into contact with. She looked forward to documenting just how it affected vampires who consumed the dark energy. Silently, Inglisse handed the clipboard back to him with nothing else to be said.

“Well. Sort of. Looks the same at least.” The difference in the case of Ozaki was if a human drank his blood that’d curse them to the same affliction that he had. He scolded himself internally for calling it a curse. He couldn’t view it as that, it was his life. Simple as that. “Maybe about thirty or so throughout the day.”
When the girl finished with the paperwork the vampire looked through it and nodded. “Excellent, just take a seat and we can get started right away.” He gestured to the chair next to Sharaku that had an arm rest to place her arm whilst it had the needle in it.

Inglisse nodded and made her way towards the seat. Perhaps once in her early childhood she had been terrified of needles, but self experimentation did a lot to put down that fear. She had done everything within her power to try to extract the sacramentum from herself, but it was all for nothing. At least now, she was finding new ways to try things out in an attempt to drain it from her body in the future. Comfortably seated, the girl waited patiently through the process of being sterilized, poked, and drained of some blood. It was not the most comfortable thing for most people, but to the blonde, it was nothing.

Ozaki nodded in agreement while he went through the process of hooking up Inglisse to the needle and what not. At the question of how he didn’t die of boredom he pulled his bag out from underneath the chair he’d been sitting on and brought out a few books. One was about potions and the other… About Dracula. He looked a little embarrassed to show the second one, but maybe it wouldn’t be too terrible to show.
Could at least be something fun to talk about if the were-vampire found it interesting at all. “I read. This one’s about Dracula’s life in Transylvania and how he protected his country during a time of war. There’s a lot of debate of how much of it is myth and how much is historical fact, but either way its a fun read.”

The sterilized needle went into her arm and began to fill a small bag of her blood. Typically it would have been black in color, but the charm was working wonders on preserving it as a nice crimson hue. Moments passed and eventually the bag was close to being filled. Inglisse watched in boredom as the young-looking vampire who was running the drive gushed over some books on a mythical legend. It certainly made the drive seem less credible, but that did not matter to her, so long as her blood was actually used.

Ozaki had somewhat hoped that the new girl might join in on the conversation. But seeing that she wasn’t really interested in talking, Ozaki didn’t want to push any boundaries with her.
“I for one would like to think that at least this one is true.” This particular book had rendition of Dracula that made him look heroic in a certain light. The book Bram Stoker had written on the other hand? That one made vampires look like monsters. As much as Ozaki did not want to admit it, there was a possibility that both of them could possibly be true. “It paints Dracula as an anti-hero who was fighting against impossible odds, so he had to use psychological warfare to keep the foes of his country at bay.
But even if it is true, odds are you’re right. There is probably some degree of flourish in it to make it a more interesting read.”
