In a world of myths and mysteries, the pinnacle of the magical academies exists. Eldritch Academy offers education to all ages and species but specializes in the study and training of one's innate mystical capabilities, often called Eldritch Energies, Powers, or Unknowns, but more formally known as their Talent. However, tensions run high with the nations only holding a fragile peace as the Talents that rival the epitomes of technology change the balance of power.
With the more recent uprising of evil Shades and introduction of combat-oriented programs into Talent-focused schools, nations grow more aggressive towards one another. The demand for resources grows, and skirmishes at the border of Arka and Mistere become more frequent. Monsters run into the nations from the Wildes, terrorizing villages and cities. The need for trained or in-training Hunters and Guardians has never been more urgent.

He had taken a few days off like he had been ordered to recover. He was still quite wounded, but not so much that even a brief walk left him winded. The vampire’s arms were wrapped up in bandages, as well as parts of his face. Even his wings were out, though they were not visible through the layers of gauze wrapping them up.
He’d filled out the right paper work while he was off, and was holding a blood drive.
Normally Ozaki wasn’t a fan of doing these. It felt too much like begging and to be frank… He actually liked hunting for blood. But desperate times. If he could not hunt for the school, he’d have to do this. There were signs and arrows all about school pointing to the room that was currently set up to accept donations.

 The Vamp Wolf  | Frankly, the main reason he was 'nosing' about was because this event, so to speak, piqued his curiosity to an extent. It wasn't necessarily because Sharaku was hyped about the idea of making blood donation, even though he had no problem with it, were it to come down to that. It was more so because he hadn't seen this before. In fact, despite being half vampire himself, he had never before taken a big interest in how the school made due when it came to helping feed those who were restricted to that diet only. He personally had a bit of a leeway, as he could live with some meat as well, thanks to his other half, and them not conflicting on that part. Plus, he had no issue with finding his own ways, such as animals or whatever. No big deal, really. Now that a more noticeable blood supply related 'thing' was being advertised however, he felt like it might be a somewhat entertaining way to pass his day, even if to just check it out from the sidelines.
And that was why he could currently be found making his way towards wherever this place was set up, taking a pretty upfront approach as he poked his head in to see if anybody was around. "Is this a new thing? I didn't know the school did stuff like this." |

“Well there’s plenty of…” Ozaki coughed a little nervously. “Uses for blood.”
The fact he was a vampire was not something he took active effort to hide, given his protruding fangs and all. The student before him now appeared to be a vampire, but he could not simply assume. Elongated fangs were not necessarily a vampire-only trait. He handed Sharaku a form to fill out with a few basic things. Asking for name, gender, species, any blood transmittable diseases they would need to know about, and a few more of the basic things.
The last Ozaki could take care of, but it was important to know before any how. Particularly since doing it now was not within his ability. "We've done one or two before, wouldn't be surprised if you hadn't heard of them though." He said in reply to the student's question.

The Vamp Wolf | He’d offer an amused hum as he took the offered form. “I can imagine as much. It does sound a little unusual to be using the blood of the students themselves though.” That’s not to say many would mind, but he’d at the very least imagine some might be weirded out by the idea, especially if this was to be used for what he think it was. It’s akin to ‘oh by the way, this came from this random student in your class you once met briefly. No big deal though, right?’, more or less. He wouldn’t be bothered, but it could…feel awkward to some? Maybe?
In any case, he would write down the information, the only potential catch up being his species, as being half werewolf, half vampire was not only unusual, but also sounded a bit wrong at first impression. He’d shrug slightly. “I’ll admit I never paid these things much attention, so my bad, perhaps.”, he’d state before handing the form back to the guy. “I’m not sure how workable this is, although I mostly came here to check out what was up, so I can deal either way.” Were there any limits on whose blood was acceptable?

Ozaki took the form and gave it a quick look over, doing a double take at the vampire/werewolf hybrid. There were so many questions there. But the most pressing one was currently if taking blood from a vampire would go counter to the whole point of this. They were trying to feed their blood drinking students here. If Sharaku had to go turn right around to the cafeteria to go get a blood pack because of this it’d defeat the whole point. His uncertainty at the concept was clear.
“Its fine…. Though would it be alright if I asked you what your blood drinking requirements are? Like, how much do you need per week, or every other week?” As a full vampire himself, if he were in perfect health he would only need a single blood packet a week. As it was currently? He needed much more to heal himself up from the recent attack he’d had to endure. “And um…” Ozaki looked down nervously at the paper again, wondering how to ask. “Am… Am I reading your species right? A vampire were hybrid?”

The Vamp Wolf | The tall young man would have liked to say he was surprised by the questioning, but in all honesty, that would have been a blatant lie. He was without a doubt an oddity, and it was nothing new to hear people making inquiries. Especially people who for one reason or another were familiar with the species in question, and their usual standing with each other. He’d actually chuckle faintly. It was kind of a source of amusement to him at this point. “I’m afraid you are. And yes, I’m aware I’d probably make a good circus exhibition. Can’t do much about that, I guess.” All he could do was simply work with it. It wasn’t even really that bad, as long as he…stayed away from most vampire and were tribes in general.
Blowing a few misbehaving strands of hair away from his eyes, he would look at the man contemplatively. “Assuming we’re talking about when I don’t forget to eat….well, it still depends. Vampires are only allergic to plant matter, so thanks to my other half, I am capable of living on a more meat based diet as well. I’d say…I really don’t need much in general. Once in three weeks would be fine, even.”, he’d shrug there. “Besides, I am used to being a survivalist. I don’t consider myself entirely dependent on school blood supplies. I have absolutely no issue going out and working with hunting down some animal blood personally, if nothing else. So I think my answer kind of…varies wildly depending on circumstance. You needn’t worry about me being a burden on the resources though, I can say that much.” He really wouldn’t be, unless an emergency of some form struck him, such as getting heavily hurt to the point he couldn’t help himself any other way, and even then, he was not solely reliant on blood alone. It was safe to say he was unlikely to be a huge strain here. |

Ozaki wished it was simple as drinking animal blood for him. That’d make his life so much easier. But heedless, he’d made do with the lot he’d been given. “I would never call you a burden.” Ozaki said quickly, not wanting the student to think that they were thought of that here. “Nonetheless its good to hear you won’t be needing the school’s supplies… Normally I make sure we’re not running short but…” Ozaki waved to himself.
He was clearly not in a great state to do any such thing, wounded and bandaged as he was.

The Vamp Wolf | Eh well, animal blood was not the best thing in the world, but he knew how to make do. It was by no means easy to convince a person to willingly become a feeding stock, and attacking without permission could quickly become troublesome as well. He did what was most efficient based on his situation and position in life, more than anything else. When the other jumped to reassure him, he’d simply wave a hand dismissively. “No need for that. I was actually mostly joking. Self-deprecating comments give me life energy.” Again, a somewhat of a ‘joke’ response, albeit he sounded pretty serious saying that. It could be hard to tell with him at times.
“Hm. I’d offer to assist…although, I find this a little concerning.” He appeared to be eyeing the man rather contemplatively. “ I do not know how many students are there that are in need of blood supply, but considering that at the very least vampires typically don’t need an overabundance, or should not under normal circumstances, it seems a little alarming that there’s such a desperate need for more. Enough to need donations like this to keep stocked the moment you're out for a bit.” He’d pause briefly. “Anyway, I wonder how effective this really is. Not to sound harsh, but I think the school should not be expected to entirely cover any and all blood the students would ask for. At one point or another, they will have to go and fend for themselves. Shouldn’t they be taught how to get food themselves, instead of being comfortably fed at their leisure? It’s not a good thing to be dependent on someone to provide for you. Others learn how to cook as they age so they could make their own meals. I think blood eaters should do their own version of it too or they’re headed for tough reality once they graduate or leave this school for one reason or another. Plus, that would lessen the burden on people like you too.” Well, just his personal two cents on the matter at least. Having some for the younger ones, or for situations that involve injuries and as some supplementary was not wrong, but the school shouldn’t pamper in that regard either. Gotta grow some independence.

There were a couple of reasons that they needed more. For one there were other kinds of blood drinkers in the academy that needed blood more often than vampires. Like their new student Nyx, a Blood devil. And for another, Dawn seemed to be set on destroying anything she could get her hands on. Their current deficit was in part thanks to her. “The school does help assist those who wish it in hunting lessons. But we shouldn’t necessarily require newly made vampires or young ones to hunt for themselves.. School can be hard enough as it is without having to incorporate hunting and not getting caught into it.”
Ozaki paused in what was beginning to be a tirade, waiting to see if anything he was saying was getting to the student. He made it his personal mission in life to make sure the students of the academy were safe and well fed. Having that questioned was rifling his feathers a bit. He'd gone into the hunter mastery due to his nature, and it had served him well in this life of his.

“Well noted.” Ozaki grumbled. Though part of him rebelled against Sharaku’s words, he knew that the student had a valid point. It was just that back in his time as a newly fledged vampire he wished someone had coddled him a bit. It’d been scary back then. And this place was a warm balm against the cruel world outside. He just wanted to be sure it could stay that way for the students.
“Still feel up to donating?” The young looking vampire asked as he pulled out a phlebotomy kit to start the process. He hoped the student was and didn't just leave it at the little schpeal he'd just given.

Ozaki wasn’t quite sure how to respond to the first part, so he simply gave a fake smile and shrugged. Up until recently he hadn’t gotten much out of the inventory department. His expanded responsibilities were largely to blame for him being out and about more. And there had also been meeting Nyx, whom he could not help but feel a connection to. “Just sit right down and put out your arm, I’ll take it from there.” He hung up a blood bag and started connecting all the various do dads that his RPer did not know about enough to say what they were
Once that was set up he started to do the stuff to put the needle in. As he went about this he decided to change the topic a bit. "I've thought about being a teacher for one of those hunting classes, but I could never talk in front of that many people."

The Vamp Wolf | Well, he knew as much as that, and he had kind of been hoping to get some interesting explanation to listen to, but alas it didn’t seem like the other was about to tell him more on the subject. Too bad, as that stuff could prove to be entertaining, even though he would likely never quite need to know much about it. Honestly, he wasn’t even a big fan of needles, ironically enough. Not to the point they’d bother him far too much, but for some reason, they were simply weird stuff despite the fact that he wouldn’t bat an eye at worse things cutting through his skin. Maybe he just didn’t like things that made him think of doctors in any way. Eh.
Regardless, he’d do as he was told, watching the guy set up the equipment with mild interest, before the talk resumed once again. “Well…kids can be annoying brats for sure, though I would think it’s not so bad as long as it’s in a controlled environment. Maybe smaller classes could fix your issues?” Personally, while he’d have no issues talking to people, not particularly caring what they’d think, he was quite easily annoyed by ignorance and petty behavior. It’d put a lot of strain on his patience to attempt to teach without eventually getting short with someone for asking too many dumb questions, or being repeatedly disruptive. |

“Maybe a class of one or two wouldn’t be too bad… But that would be a really small class.” He wasn’t even sure the school would want to do a class size that small. It just wasn’t practical. Actually… “Though if you’re actually trying to train someone on the streets it would be better to have a class of that size. But its not really efficient. And not really a class so much as tutoring.”
Having too many people to keep track of would be difficult, and Ozaki knew that learning in class rooms did not really teach you practical experience.
