welcome to Eldritch Academy
In a world of myths and mysteries, the pinnacle of the magical academies exists. Eldritch Academy offers education to all ages and species but specializes in the study and training of one's innate mystical capabilities, often called Eldritch Energies, Powers, or Unknowns, but more formally known as their Talent. However, tensions run high with the nations only holding a fragile peace as the Talents that rival the epitomes of technology change the balance of power.
With the more recent uprising of evil Shades and introduction of combat-oriented programs into Talent-focused schools, nations grow more aggressive towards one another. The demand for resources grows, and skirmishes at the border of Arka and Mistere become more frequent. Monsters run into the nations from the Wildes, terrorizing villages and cities. The need for trained or in-training Hunters and Guardians has never been more urgent.

MUTANT Name of Species: Mutant, Homo Superior.
{CLICK HERE for Appearance, Culture, and Origin}
Baseline Dimension: Mutants, like normal humans, come in all kinds of heights and weights. Most often the Mutant is seemingly totally human.
Baseline Appearance: Like humans, mutants have different eye, hair, skin color. Most mutants look like any other human, but sometimes, skin color, eye color, height, size, can give the mutant away. More extreme mutations, include wings, tails, fangs, fur, extra limbs, other clearly animal-like physical appearances.
Culture/Origin of Species:
The origins of mutants can be traced back to the start of the Great War, with the first recorded mutant emerging during that time. The person was no different from anybody else, but he could not be killed, and healed any and all injuries. During the span of the war, the mutant had a number of children from a number of women. After a few years, the first mutant child was born, and after that several others followed. Most of the early children had hardly visible mutations, but sometimes there outstanding abilities put them on the map. Sme of the most powerful of the second generation of mutants also took part in the Great War. Since then, mutants have been living amongst humans. For sometime after the War, mutants rarely using there abilities in public in fear of being outcasted. It was a few years after the war that mutant population began to greatly expand, and in present day there are a few thousand mutants scattered around.
Traits:
•Empowered: Every mutant has some sort of special mental, physical or elemental power or ability. that differ from person to person. This can range with a simple mutation of hair, eye or skin color, to having multiple powerful abilities. •Power Manifestation: Every mutant goes through a power manifestation. Some are born with already active mutations, but most mutants have there powers manifest in there teen years. A rare form of manifestation is aggressive manifestation. This causes the mutation for forcefully manifest, due to great fear, stress, pain or a trauma.
Flaws:
-Human life span: nearly all mutants have the lifespan of normal humans. -Nearly human: All mutants can be harmed, hurt and killed with sufficient force or different methods. Likewise, nearly all mutants have the mental capacity of normal humans. -Power weakness: Every mutant has a limit or power weakness that can be exploited, countered, overloaded or shut down.

Hi there <3 Before I go ahead and approve this for you, there are a few changes I would like to see, all noted in this color. Feel free to bump this thread when the changes are made. MUTANT Name of Species: Mutant, Homo Superior.
Baseline Dimension: The baseline height, width, weight, etc. Note that these should be the average for the species, and naturally characters could be + or – for these dimensions. Mutants, like normal humans, come in all kinds of heights and weights.
The origins of mutants can be traced back to around 15,000 BC, with the first recorded mutant emerging during that time. The person was no different from anybody else, but he could not be killed, and healed any and all injuries. Over the ages, humans and the mutant has hundreds of children from hundreds of women. After a few years, the first mutant child was born, and after that several others followed. Most of the early children had hardly visible mutations, but sometimes there outstanding abilities put them on the human map, and a fair number of such mutants where considered either gods/goddesses or spawns of Hell. Since then, mutants have been living amongst humans, rarely using there abilities in public. Some mutants with negative or unattractive mutations would become popular circus acts. The first modern public display of a mutant powers where during the American Civil War, with two, ultra fast healing and feral mutants, and later, during WW1, with and immortal and enhanced female warrior of Ancient Greece turning the tide of several major battles of the war. During WW2, there where a fair number of mutant fighters taking active part in the fighting. After WW2, the mutant population began to greatly expand, and in present day there are a few thousand mutants scattered around. There has also been dozens of mutant dissaperences, where the mutants ended up in a new strange world and after a while mutant children also started showing signs of different powers. Please note that "Earth history" doesn't exactly exist on this forum. Instead of being set on Earth, it's placed on the planet "Skiagis", which details on its history (and lore can be found here and here. <3
Traits: List of traits for the species. These are inherent positive quirks of the species that almost all members should have as a baseline. For every 2 traits a species must also have 1 flaw.
•Empowered: Every mutant has some sort of special mental, physical or elemental power or ability. that differ from person to person. This can range with a simple mutation of hair, eye or skin color, to having a dozen very powerful abilities. Please change this so that it's more specific: ex. can breathe fire, create ice shards, turn into a shadow, etc. If you want to keep the open-endedness of having a plethora of possible abilities, feel free to make more than one species or type of mutant. •Power Manifestation: Every mutant dose threght a power manifestation. Some are born with already active mutations, but most mutants have there powers manifest in there teen years. A rare form of manifestation is aggressive manifestation. This causes the mutation for forcefully manifest, due to great fear, stress, pain or a trauma. Things from above also applies here.
Flaws: List of flaws for the species. These are inherent negative quirks of the species that almost all members should have as a baseline. For every 2 traits a species must have 1 flaw.
-Human live span: nearly all mutants have the lifespan of normal humans. -Nearly human: All mutants can be harmed, hurt and killed with sufficient force or different methods. Likewise, nearly all mutants have the mental capacity of normal humans. -Power weakness: Every mutant has a limit or power weakness that can be exploited, countered, overloaded or shut down.

just note that a mutant's powers will have to be one or both of their talents
