♦ CHARACTER INFORMATION ♦
Name: Chaoris Orneis
Gender: Male
Age: 26
Occupation: Traveller
Mastery: Hunter
Height: 6'6"
Appearance:
Personality;
While the Rage Beast fits in well with those that are the same species as him, Chaoris's mind is clear. However, a clear mind brings something even greater to deal with. He believes he is the God of Blood, Battle, Skulls, and Honor. Those that fight, kill, collect skulls in his name, and are honorable in combat will find his favor and are in worship of him whether they admit it or not. He is known for having short patience, though that is quite obvious for one that is wishing for battle a majority of the time, and when he is not in battle can be seen looking for more opportunities to spread his influence across the world.
He prefers to see bloodshed in combat, and dislikes when having to fight anything without blood of its own, and is likely to go for strikes that will cause massive bleeding. He will not delay a kill to sit and watch, unless the person is worthy of being spoken to as they lay there dying. He prefers to rely on his godly strength and his weapons for combat, though will use his powers of blood and light on those that will not remain close enough for him to solely use them
After becoming a 'god', Chaoris is nothing but a leader. He goes forth into battle and expects the same out of everyone else, friend or foe. He wishes for blood to be shed, and cares not from what it flows as long as it does. Those too scared to fight will be slain immediately, and those that try to order him around will likely have a fight on their hands. He will, however, work with others that seem like a deity and offer ideas or ask for his help in combat.
History:
Much of Chaoris Orneis's life is one massive blur, minute bits and pieces of a time and place where he seemed to be in charge flittering through his mind and leaving just as quickly as they entered. One moment he will see himself fighting beside a woman, a single word running through his mind as he did so. Sharp. What it meant was lost to him, and to his brothers, he did not care for things like he did. His species had little worries for fond memories, more thought being put into the next fight over anything else. Others go of an animal called Fluffy, a blood-soaked creature that seemed like he was close to it as one would a familiar or long-time pet. The other one he remembers has a name, one that went by Izayuki, and his memory was one of killing her while commenting on them using some kind cheap trick on him that ended up not working to well. Memories of weapons, armors, monsters, and other people that no words came with were also mixed in. Chaoris thought that maybe he should find these things, if possible, and see if they bring back memories. One person was found, and that person caused a flood of rage at them that caused him to murder them with the memories that came back. For some reason he had spouted out about the person being a traitor, leaving the fight and him to live in cowardice, but he had no clue where the words had come from. Had they been a memory as well? The being in question had been utterly confused, as if he was not the same, but why then did he hold such memories of them with such great detail about their physical likeness?
In the life he remembers, the last five years, he is a being known as a rage beast. He went where he felt the need to fight, and in the process, he has lost the other seven that he called his 'family.' The urge to find a seven to band together with him is ongoing, but he has still found none that would fight beside him. His own ego, slowly surfacing from lost memories, has him believe more and more from what he might be based on the memories that flirted his mind. On top of these things, Chaoris has felt a pull towards different parts of the world, as if something is telling him to go there and claim something that is only his to claim. They felt like a birthright, even though he had no memory of being born nor parents of his own. These feelings ebb and flow from his conscious, and thus not always felt nor remembered. Plans were made to find them, but those plans are consistently set back by fights, recoveries, and trying to find the three people he remembers a tiny memory of. The end goal is all of his memories, and to act on those as well as figure out what caused this massive blank in his mind.
Name of Species:
Rage Beasts
Baseline Dimension:
Average height 5 feet 9 inches, average weight 175lbs, shoulder width their widest point is averagely 1 foot 6 inches wide. Generally very robust and muscular.
Baseline Appearance:
Able to manifest any appearance that suits their needs Rage Entities are quite literally a melting pot of appearances.
Culture/Origin of Species:
A species nearly old as time itself these individuals were born out of the first sparks of rage felt in the world. Stories of old share them as the bringers of war, influence of many a brutal battle can be traced to one of these standing beside others of importance across history. They are unchecked fury, and can be quite dangerous at times even if many live in the world perfectly fine, at least for a species that lives for anger.
Typically Rage Entities both live and travel in groups as close to eight as they can get and can actually get rather OCD over the number. Renown for being difficult to get along with properly these entities are known for fostering rage in the environment around them or generally being unpleasant due to their own rage. They are very good at convincing other species that rage, domination of enemies in any field, and violence are their only interests due to how preoccupied they become in their pursuits. Notoriously determined and single minded on things they chose to partake in, easily one of the most stubborn species in existence.
For some odd reason, Rage Entities seem to have absolutely no problem getting along with Blood Devil’s being one of the few species who can do such so easily. In the absence of other Rage Entities they will often seek out Blood Devil’s to make up the other seven slots before even attempting searching for their own kind. In this case the Rage Entity is often called a god by their Devil comrades. While not true gods, they do not mind being worshipped and may even eagerly accept this gesture or seek it out. In the case they do gather a following, Rage Entities often ask for offerings made by the rage of battle.
Traits:
•This species feels absolutely no physical pain during combat able to do battle as if they are perfectly healthy regardless of their true condition.
•At some points during battle Rage Entities enter a completely berserk state where they can't tell who is who much less care about it, the only way around this is if they have a very close interpersonal relationship with someone. Note: the character must be played by another player, an NPC does not qualify.
•While Rage Entities may not be all for the sneaky strategies that can be used on the battlefield? It's unwise to use such tactics against the species as they have a way of helping Karma along called Living Voodoo where they can connect themselves with another person and thus any wounds dealt to them are also dealt to the attacker, or they can just use themselves as a pin cushion to end the fight.
•Connected to idea's of Rage, wrath and other such associates means that as long as this species is in within 100 feet of these things it's impossible to truly kill them, they will simply heal completely no matter the damage.
•One of the abilities this species is most notorious for Rage Entities can release an aura that is capable of causing feelings of rage, anger, and such to form in whoever is capable of feeling them within a set space like a battlefield or building. They can chose the size of this aura themselves. May fail on PC’s.
•Abilities that focus on altering the mind of a being to pacify them are absolutely useless on Rage Entities as they are far too angry to care. Though they can sustain damage or healing from such things without the pacifying effects.
•Possess far greater strength than average humans or even most other species they can lift up to 18 tons at once.
• Being a species that partakes in combat incredibly frequently rage entities are born with +3 strength to assist in this.
•Rage Entities have good reason besides their mental sanity to live/travel in groups of eight at most, they are able to increase the strength stat of up to 7 chosen allies by +1.
•In addition to normal senses they can also sense physical/eldritch strength, health, sense the emotions of others and see the strength put into an attack.
•Capable of summoning their weapons or armor to them regardless of the distance between themselves and those things.
•They can derive energy from their own powerful emotions or loved ones emotions towards them to perform short ranged stunts like attacks, defenses or miracles with it. This is also the way they control their apparent age.
Flaws:
•When outside of battle the injuries or ailments they have suffered become far more painful as they feel every single moment of pain/weakness they didn't feel during the fight as they recover.
•Living Voodoo enchantment can be broken if the person the rage entity has placed under the enchantment experiences pleasure for any reason. Thus someone with a strong enough mind can forcefully break themselves free.
•To make use of Living Voodoo they must be able to obtain some part of the target and it's preferable they be able to swallow it as losing contact with the object will break the ability.
•As an exchange for being able to inflict wounds to themselves without actually sustaining damage while using Living Voodoo, the Rage Entity will sustain 5 damage if it's forcibly broken.
•If a Rage Entity falls ill they can not simply kill themselves to get rid of it the only time illness vanishes as a result of their death is if the illness killed them. They also will not heal starvation, dehydration, nor sleep deprivation so they must still take care of themselves to a minor degree.
•Can only regenerate if rage or a similar emotion is within 100 feet of some part of their corpse.
