welcome to Eldritch Academy
In a world of myths and mysteries, the pinnacle of the magical academies exists. Eldritch Academy offers education to all ages and species but specializes in the study and training of one's innate mystical capabilities, often called Eldritch Energies, Powers, or Unknowns, but more formally known as their Talent. However, tensions run high with the nations only holding a fragile peace as the Talents that rival the epitomes of technology change the balance of power.
With the more recent uprising of evil Shades and introduction of combat-oriented programs into Talent-focused schools, nations grow more aggressive towards one another. The demand for resources grows, and skirmishes at the border of Arka and Mistere become more frequent. Monsters run into the nations from the Wildes, terrorizing villages and cities. The need for trained or in-training Hunters and Guardians has never been more urgent.

The darkness followed the hooded figure down the forest road as the stars hid behind a veil of cloud. The cloak hung low, a hood covering their face. Purple scaled wings extended from their back, a long scaled tail snaked along the ground behind them, and the horns from their skull pointed towards the black sky above. They moved with discomfort but also with purpose. They moved with pain and yet determination. Limping forwards through the night as a symphony of forest creatures sang through the air. They didn't seem to care, for their eyes were only set on one thing... The faint glow of city lights ahead.
Cyn stood atop the hill for a long time, looking across the plains to Lake Nypherra. The massive lake housed her destination. Upon the water's surface two islands rested with the gleaming skyscrapers of Mystopolis. She could see everything. From the movements of people and their cars, to the massive Eldritch Academy looming in the distance. THe lake itself was filled with vessels of varying sizes as well, from simple sailboats to large shipping barges, it was obvious this city was the economic powerhouse of the country. And she could smell it. Here lied her goal... Her revenge... The beginning of her end. They took her life, but they never paid for it. Now was the time to collect the debt. Cyn's violet eyes flared with a dark, cold, anger from the darkened veil of her cloak, and she began making her way towards one of the many bridges.
A few hours later Cyn found herself in the city. Surrounded by hundreds of busy citizens, all scurrying about the night. The skies were now lit with the yellow glow of the city as the tall buildings that surrounded her blocked out the stars. Her eyes narrowed as she observed the mortals. Pathetic. So very pathetic. WHy did her kind ever let these people make it this far? They were nothing more than prey, and they had forgotten that. Cyn would remind them before the end. She noticed a few people giving her odd looks, but her face kept hidden underneath her hood. The city might've been home to many different species, but none like her. Even with the cloak she was still noticeable, her wings were huge after all, even when folded. Not to mention the tail that dragged along the ground behind her and the draconic horns as well. Blending in to the populace might be harder than she originally thought...

Mordred hated these kinds of jobs with a passion but there was no way out of it. Kidnapping an innocent individual was definitely going to leave a stain on his honor that he'd never be able to wash away. Yet he had a horrible gut feeling that disobeying that terrifying woman that had given him this job would definitely harm his gang and while honor was incredibly important to the vampire noble defending his 'family' would always take precedence. At the very least he had decided to carry out the job himself instead of having someone else carry out his dirty work. In his eyes this was the only way he could hold on to at least a shred of his honor while carrying out this task.
Before the Draconian had even entered the Mystopolis Mordred had already scattered his men throughout the city with instructions to report to him the moment the target came into sight and not to try to take her in themselves under any circumstances. While kidnapping was a horrible thing to be a victim of Mordred was at the very least determine to make it as painless as possible for the poor girl the gang was being sent after. The gang boss was looking through the crowd on one of the main streets of the city when he got the call from one of his subordinates. With a sigh the leader rose to his feet. Part of him had really hoped that they would've failed at locating the dragon lady. Yet within a moment he was making his way over to the location that he had been given.
When Mordred arrived at the scene it was already painfully obvious where the target was. She stuck out of the moving crowd like a sore thumb despite her effort to hide her identity with a hood. Giving a quick nod to his subordinate Mordred sent them off and than slid into the crowd from the alleyway they had been hiding in, slowing making his way closer to the hooded figure. He didn't draw any weapons or wait until he could get her into a more secluded area. Instead he just opened his mouth and called out to her once he found himself in what he assumed was hearing range.
"Excuse me my lady, if you wouldn't mind could I talk to you for a moment?"
If the Draconian turned around they would find themselves face to face with a man dressed like some nobleman from hundreds of years ago. A smile was spread across his face as he called out to the woman in front of him making his status as a vampire blatantly obvious with just one look at his teeth. Despite the fact that he was here to kidnap here Mordred didn't give off any kind of malicious aura. After all, he was currently trying to get through this job in the most civil way possible. If Cyn just agreed to go along with him than he could avoid the kidnapping part all together and not have to stain his honor with such an act.

Cyn continued making her way through the streets of the city, her presence going unnoticed by most. At least that's what she had originally thought anyways. All around her were a sea of people. Varying races, but predominantly human. Many of which looked at the imposing figure as she walked by. In these crowded streets, she ended up running into a few of them. She didn't say or do anything though, she just kept walking while they turned and expected an apology. One man got brave enough to yell at her, but when she ignored him he tried to grab her arm. Luckily his friends grabbed him at the last second and told him it wasn't worth it, because frankly, it wasn't. Cyn looked very intimidating, and she was nearly a foot taller than the tallest human male. Her wings made her look even taller, even when folded close to her back.
She paid no mind to these people, they were all worthless to her. As worthless as they were, though, Cyn couldn't afford to go around upsetting them. Not in the traditional sense at least. She had to play this smart... But first she needed to find somewhere to lay low. To plan.
Throughout the buzz of traffic and nearby conversations, Cyn didn't heed the call from the Vampire. Not at first anyways. That wasn't until she saw the man standing in the corner of her eye and she turned to face him. He was tall, handsome, and pale. Vampiric fangs, not unlike her own draconic ones. And he was staring right at her. It was obvious he was talking to the Draconian. She had no idea what this strangely dressed man wanted, but she could theorize. Being around for as long as she was, Cyn had learned a lot about the inhabitants of this place, and she knew how they behaved. Vampires needed blood to survive, and a select few still preferred live victims to satisfy their thirst, despite the regulations and programs put in place to prevent this. And Cyn knew some liked picking out rare and exotic species to taste, so this situation looked very sketchy to her. Cyn had no interest in being lured to some dark ally only to be jumped by a gang of rabid vampires, so the girl would simply glare at Mordred and turn in the other direction. Her pace quickening as she shoved her way through the crowd...
But with those large wings, it was hard to lose site of her.

Immediate rejection. While the woman had acknowledge him at first the moment she laid eyes on him she would glare at him and begin to increase her pace. While Mordred had expected her not to go with him he hadn't expected to get glared at before he even managed to get through a few sentences. She hadn't even responded to his first question and the gang boss wasn't sure whether she hadn't heard him or had simply ignored it. Regardless the moment she began to move away the vampire noble began to wonder if he looked like a total freak. Was his reputation going to plummet into the earth and shatter into pieces before this mission even truly began? He was definitely going to have to demand double the pay from his employer at the end of this to make up for the damage to his emotional state he was certain this job was going to inflict.
Regardless, the knight was a man of his word and he had promised to retrieve this Draconian for his employer. As such he was going to have the catch this girl even if he had to die in the process, though he truly hoped that wasn't how this night was going to end. Within a moment Mordred began to move through the crowd at a rapid pace, dodging around each group of people, sliding between each individual like a snake sliding between the crevice in a wall of stone. It was blatantly obvious that this vampire knew how to make his way through a crowd. At the very least he was far better at it than the person he was pursuing. In her defense though it wasn't as if the gang boss had any large wings on his back that he needed to worry about as he slid past all the obstacles that were getting in his way.
Within a few moments he had caught up with his prey and stepped out in front of her blocking off her path. Sure she could turn back and start fleeing in the other direction but Mordred was far closer now than he was before. The Draconian's chances of getting away without a fight now had reduced significantly and despite all the trouble the vampire could tell she was going to put him through he still tried to stay as civil as possible. A gentle smile was still present on his face as he offered out his hand towards the dragon woman.
"I think we may have been getting off on the wrong foot my lady. Allow me to introduce myself before you run away again. My name is Mordred Iscariot. A certain individual hired me to retrieve you when you arrived in the city. I know this must seem incredibly sketchy but would you mind coming with me for now?"

Cyn kept pushing without looking back, paying no mind to those around her as she forcefully made her way through the crowd. She had no idea what that man wanted with her, but she wasn't keen on finding out. Cyn never trusted these people to begin with, and vampires were no exception. Especially when they lived off the blood of others. Sure Cyn had her fair share of mortal blood in the past when she was still a tall and ferocious dragon, but that didn't make the situation any less dire.
After a few minutes of walking, Cyn slowed down. She turned her head slightly and saw no sign of the man at all. She sighed in relief slightly before turning back to face forwards... And there he was. Cyn took a step back out of sheer surprise to see the vampire so close. Where did he come from? How the hell did he make it over here so fast and without Cyn spotting him? She didn't like this... Not one bit.
He introduced himself as Mordred Iscariot. Not a name she had heard, but then again she never really took notice to those beneath her. As he spoke, Cyn was looking around for another way to escape, but looked at the vampire again when he explained that he was "hired to retrieve her." What did that mean? Who the hell even knew she was here? Did that kid she meet at the ruin tell someone? Was Ozaki working with someone in the city and lured her here? Was it the Baskerville family? Cyn's thoughts rushed back and forth, trying to connect the dots. That was a strong possibility. Ozaki could've easily been sent to the ruins of the lab by the family to retrieve anything that survived... Including her. The kid obviously incapable of subduing the large Draconian himself, he could've easily told his contacts in the city where she was headed. Yes it all made sense. The people who ended her life weren't done with her yet. She was an escaped experiment after all... And Mordred must've been their lap dog.
Cyn stared at the vampire with a cold glare underneath her cloak, slowly backing up from him. "No... I- I'm not going back... You won't make me..." She growled through her draconic fangs. "Please... Haven't you people killed me enough? Just leave me alone!" She finally yelled. Suddenly, the wings on her back extended! THey were enormous! Far bigger than anyone could've guessed with them folded to her back. This action instantly caused the crowd around them to disperse as her wings obstructed their path. They were a deep violet color, but were also tattered. Multiple could be seen within the leathery webs, and one of her wings had extended in an awkward looking position, like it was broken. Cyn tried to hide the great physical pain she had by extending her broken wing, but she didn't see another option! She quickly turned her body, her wings pushing people back and angled them towards Mordred, using their size to block him off before they quickly flapped! The force of the dragon wings caused the air to rush around them, forcing the stone dust off the street. She yelled in pain, but before long the dust from the stone plaza had created a nice little cloud...
When it cleared, Cyn was running as fast her human legs could carry her towards the nearest building, a very tall skyscraper that was used as an apartment complex.

"You've got to be kidding me......"
Everything Mordred had hoped for had fallen apart in a moment. All he had wanted was to peaceful take her in so he could get this job over with without completely staining his honor but the draconian was giving him no choice. Yet at the same time he had to wonder what the hell the girl had been talking about. Going back? Killed her enough? As far as Mordred knew this was the first time he had ever even met the girl. Had his gang done something while he was asleep? Picked a fight with a dragon lady while he had been in his coffin? There was no way. At the very least his right hand man would've told him about it if something like that had happened. So what in the world was she talking about?
Yet Mordred didn't have time to contemplate all of these questions as his target made a break for a nearby apartment building. While the current state of the girl's wings horrified the knight he had to admit at the very least it made his job a lot easier than it could've been. Trying to kidnap someone who could fly would've definitely been a lot harder than their current situation, especially considering how much of a fight the girl was putting up. As he watched the draconian's flight the gang leader took a phone out of his pocket and called the first number found in his contacts.
"Hey! You figured out how to use the phone old man! Congratulations! I'm proud of you!"
A vein in the vampire noble's forehead burst as those words came through the phone. Mordred loved all the people he sired like his own children but that didn't mean they couldn't make him angry. This was especially true when it came to the first person he had chosen to sire. His right hand man and one of the few people in the gang that had no problem teasing him or calling him by names like old man. It kind of reminded of him of his sire in a way. At the same time it had been his right hand that had bought him the phone in the first place and had spent the last few days trying to explain how it worked to the vampiric noble. Sleeping for a hundred years had allowed Mordred to recover from his wounds but it had also left him in the dark when it came to most technological advancements.
"I know I was asleep for a hundred years but don't get cocky. Anyways, I need you to have all the nearby members to diverge on the building I'm about to run into. Have them look out for me and than head in through the first floor. I'm going to cut her off on the higher levels."
"Consider it done."
With that the gang boss hung up the phone and looked over at the skyscraper again. In a moment he would suddenly vanish from sight and in his place a bat would take off towards the building. Flying higher and higher charging straight towards one of the upper floor windows. This bat approached the window and tap on the glass grabbing the attention of the apartment's owner. Fortunately the owner was kind enough to open the window and welcome the bat inside. With the invitation received the bat flew into the apartment and almost instantaneously transformed back into Mordred.
"Good evening sir. Sorry to intrude but this was the quickest way for me to get to my destination. Please accept my humbles apologies about the window and the door I'll make sure to get you the money for the repairs later but for now I truly must go."
A man stood shocked and very possible terrified in the corner of the apartment Mordred had just tricked himself into. While the man could've expected the bat was a vampire he was no prepared for the intruder to be wearing an outfit one would expect from a noble or royalty hundred of years ago and within moments of entering had taken a knife from the man's counter in order to cut his hand. After all an open wound allowed him to summon Avalon with greater ease. He had tried to urged himself to say something to the man. To stop him and have him wait for the cops to arrive but before he could he watched this nobleman walk over to his door and simply kick it down before fleeing into the hallway. A few moments had passed before the man snapped out of his shock and began to run after the intruder while taking out his phone to call the cops. Yet by the time he had made it to the hallway the strange man had already vanished.
Mordred has run towards the apartment buildings elevators and was currently scanning the numbers portrayed on the screens to see which ones were going up. There was always the possibility the draconian would take the stairs but he was fairly certain one of his gang members would contact him if they were pursuing the girl up the stairs. So for now he would just have to wait.

Cyn didn't bother looking back to see if they were following her. She didn't need too. Luckily her dragon like senses were still in tact from the transformation, and she could still smell the vampire not too far from her. This was not at all how she had expected the night to go, but she needed to gain some distance. She figured if she could make it to the roof of this building, then maybe she'd have a chance at losing them. One of her wings might've been injured, but she knew by running through the streets she wouldn't make it very far.
Cyn quickly crashed through the doors of the building to see many confused people staring at the panicked dragon lady. She quickly made her way through the halls, her wings folding in to allow herself more room to maneuver through the enclosed spaces. She could hear footsteps. Fast ones. Great, the vampire wasn't alone. Cyn had no idea why they were so intent on capturing her, but she had her suspicions. They must've been working for the Baskerville's. There was no doubt about it. Who else knew of her existence? Who else would be so determined to see her in chains again? It was simple really, and Cyn wasn't going to give those people the satisfaction of capturing her again. She wasn't going to be a prisoner any longer.
Cyn turned a corner to see a large group of rough looking men walking towards her, completely cutting off that area. Her eyes widened when she realized they were after her and she turned and ran down another hall, hearing the yells and footsteps of the gang members close behind her. She twisted and turned her way until she saw a door with a stair sign next to it. Grunting she turned and slammed through it, revealing a massively tall flight of stairs leading upwards. She had no choice but to keep moving, the men were getting close. Cyn quickly clambered her way up the steps and she only made it about one flight before the sound of the door bursting open could be heard again and they were running up after her! She grunted, skipping steps as she sprinted upwards. There was no way she'd make it all the way to the top before tiring out. Something about this new body made her wings feel ten times more heavy than before, and it was obviously taking a toll on the girl. Cyn made it up another flight of stairs when suddenly a door in front of her burst open and a man cut her off! He was holding a long syringe!
He yelled and lunged at Cyn! She held up her arms and grabbed his before the needle could pierce any part of her skin. The two stood there struggling for a few seconds but Cyn heard the men behind them getting closer. Without thinking, she extended her wings and flapped once! The force pushed her forwards quite a bit, making the man lose balance and she was easily able to angle herself so the man's back was to the railing. With one furious kick, he was sent over the edge. His yell echoed through the building as he fell downwards and splatted on the ground far below... Cyn heard the satisfying crunch of broken bones, but could not stick around to enjoy it, his friends weren't happy.
She ditched the stairs and ducked into another hallway. It was much darker and she knew she wouldn't be safe here long. The draconian found an elevator however, and quickly ducked into it just as the gang entered the hallway looking for the murderer of their companion...
In a panic Cyn pressed a random button and the door closed, and started to ascend. She sighed, but was still shaking. Something was odd though. The scent of the vampire had returned, and it was getting stronger. Cyn looked at the glowing 30 on the button panel and waited anxiously for the elevator to stop...

Watching the elevator's movements the vampire waited for them to pass by the 30th floor so he could bring all of them to an abrupt halt. It didn't matter whether or not the doors open on the floor or not. With every lift that passed by the floor he was guarding a sword would stab through its door slicing it open in one swift cut. A steel sword covered in veins branching out from the crimson hilt. The veins pulsating as a slight heartbeat could be heard echoing out from the weapon as if it was alive. Mordred had to feel bad for the innocent people that shook in fear as his sword cut the doors down. Innocent people who had nothing to do with this who found themselves face to face with a vampiric blade.
The most frustrating thing of all, however, was how much attention he was dragging to himself and his gang. This was suppose to be a simple mission. Grab the draconian girl off the streets and bring her to their client. Yet now he found himself summoning his gang into a building. Having to find himself a way into the upper floors so cut the girl off. It was all so messy and lacked even an ounce eloquence. His right hand was also definitely going to scold him later for all of this. Why did that girl just have to run away? Why did she just refuse to listen to him?
It felt as his honor was being drained from him with every second that this mission continued. As such there were no words to describe how relieved he was when he finally found the elevator his targeting was riding up. Unfortunately with his current method the girl wasn't even given the time for the door to open. Instead she'd watch as a blade was stabbed through the door and ripped it apart before it was even given the chance to open on its own. Only to find the gang leader on the other side of the door carrying the same relaxed smile on his face as when he first greeted her.
"There you are my lady. Would you mind not running away this time? It really is making quite a mess. I'm not sure who you think I am but I can tell you my people have never killed you before. We aren't who you seem to think we are."

A thin, quiet sigh of relief escaped Cyn's lips as she rested her head back against the wall of the elevator. She could feel the machine begin to rise, and the disgruntled cries of her pursuers fade as she ascended through the building. That was close, but she knew she wasn't out of this situation yet. Who really were these people, and what the hell did they want with her? The dragon's mind went back over all the interactions she had with these lesser beings ever since she was stuck in the cursed state, but she couldn't quite figure it out. Right now her only suspect must've been the Baskervilles. Who else could it have possibly been?
Nobody else knew of her existence, right? Not to mention the strange man, Mordred he had said his name was, was also a vampire. Cyn's face visibly got darker when she thought about that fact. He hadn't been the first vampire to cross her path since waking up as a Draconian. Had he been secretly working with Ozaki? Were the two in cahoots? Did he lure her to this city just so Mordred could pick her up and return the dragon to the people who put her in this fleshy prison? It would make sense, that's what she got for trusting one of these people.
Cyn cursed herself as she tried to connect the dots, but all of that was put on hold when the sound ripping metal rung through her ears. The entire elevator shook violently as the lights flickered, causing Cyn to lose her balance! She grunted and fell onto her hands and knees, before the door before her slowly opened. Mordred. The vampire despite just tearing through an elevator door still acted as gentlemenly as possible. He explained to her that he wasn't quite sure who Cyn thought they were, but she didn't buy it one bit. The dragon tried to regain her bearings slowly standing up. Her eyes spotted the vampire's sword. It was quite unusual, and had a strange magical feeling to it. This wasn't alway abnormal. During her time as a fearsome dragon she had encountered many foolish adventurers who had the intentions of slaying her. Most of the time they used weapons of magic to assist this goal's accomplishment. However, this one was different. She couldn't quite explain it but... It felt alive.
The vampire had cornered the drake, and she had very few options left. She didn't believe his words, or his attitude for that matter. These were all lies! Lies just to lure her back to another cage. "LIAR!" Was all Cyn yelled in response before jumping up and grabbing the top of the door frame with both her hands. She quickly raised her legs off the ground and extended her wings. Flapping them once despite the great physical pain, her legs were propelled forward and she swung them directly into the vampire's chest! Using the small amount of time she had left, Cyn ran past Mordred towards another stairwell...
A few minutes later Cyn stood on the edge. THe bright lights of the city shining below her as she stared at the glowing streets far below. There was another building nearby... All she needed to do was glide to it. However, her wing was far too damaged to perform such an action. If she tried, she would surely fall to her demise.
But what choice did she have but to try? She knew the vampire wasn't going to be delayed for long. He'd be here soon. Cyn had to choose here and now. Pain... Or death.
She hesitated for another moment, slowly extending her wings to their full splendor... Her right wing deformed and twitching with intense pain. It was obvious to anyone it was broken, and not capable of flight.

Working as the gang boss of a gang of vampires in a city filled with seemingly more species that stars in the sky Mordred learned to expect the unexpected on a daily basis. Yet if you had asked him just this morning what he thought was going to happen today, getting kicked in the chest of a dragon lady with tattered wings was something that wouldn't have even crossed his mind. Yet here was tumbling backwards after getting caught off guard by Cyn's attack. Even though he was a veteran when it came to battle a sudden blow to the chest was still something Mordred could just simply tank through. For a short moment he laid dazed on the ground as the pain quickly spread throughout his chest. Yet there was still a mission to completely.
Jumping to his feet Mordred dematerializes Avalon bringing it back into his body to be stored inside his bloodstream as he made his way in the direction he had seen the draconian flee in. His pace was still quick but noticeable slower than before as a result of all the injuries he had received so far. However, the moment he caught sight of what the lady was trying to do a sudden rush ran through his system. Was she insane? Her wings were clearly in tatters but she was going to try to jump to the nearby building?! She was going to fall to her death. It was plain as night to see. With the adrenaline running through his system the vampire was able to ignore his pain and moved to the window at full speed before wrapping his arms around Cyn abdomen, in what would look like a hug from behind in any other scenario, and yanked her back into the building in what could only be best describe as a reverse tackle.
"ARE YOU ACTUALLY COMPLETELY OUT OF YOUR MIND?! I KNOW YOU MIGHT NOT TRUST ME OR MY GANG BUT YOUR JUST GOING TO KILL YOURSELF?! THERE WAS NO WAY IN ALL OF HEAVEN OR HELL THAT YOU WERE GOING TO MAKE THAT JUMP!"

This was it. All she needed to do was take one more step and the nightmare would be over. All the pain, suffering, and exhaustion would vanish. Peaceful times at last... All waiting for the drake on the roof of that other building. She would make it, she HAD to make it. She had no other choice, right? Go back as a caged animal for those monsters, or end it here and now... Cyn made her choice.
With her deformed wing twitching in pain Cyn's eyes did the same as she struggled to keep the mangled mess of flesh and bone upright. The wind of this height made her recall the same feelings she had when she was still a mighty dragon that ruled the skies... Oh how she longed to return to them. How she wanted nothing more than to ascend into the stars and use her power to turn the earth into a blazing sun of plasma and death...
However, all of that would have to wait it seemed. Before Cyn could even make her move, she felt a rush of air behind her! Suddenly a pressure built upon her waist and she was pulled from the edge of the building! Her eyes widened with surprised as she grunted, feeling the weight of the man behind her. Pulling the dragon back to the hard ground as the vampire yelled about how insane she was! She didn't hear his words, only felt his body separating her from the floor. She quickly turned herself around so now she was kneeling over the vampire, his back on the ground below her. There faces were inches from each other for only a second as she stared at him with pain, fear, sadness, and then... Shock?
Something about the vampire made Cyn's breathing stop. She couldn't place it but... This Mordred... She knew him. She had too! That face was too familiar! Although that moment lasted for only a few seconds before Cyn realized how close they were and her face instantly reddened! She panicked and pushed herself off the vampire, crawling backwards before the dragon began feel a pain in her stomach. Her scar was reacting to this man.
"W- Well I could've made it! If you hadn't stopped me I could've been free!" She yelled with both anger and sadness in her voice. It was obvious she was still terrified, but it was also just as obvious something had spooked her. She grunted in pain while holding the place where her scar was, trying her best not to show anything to the vampire. "P- Please! Just tell me who you are and what you want with me! Haven't you got enough of your horrid samples already?! Was my child not enough!?"

There was no better way to describe the current situation Mordred found himself in other than awkward. He had managed to save the lady from her suicidal escape plan but now she was on top of him with her face just a few inches away from his own. Not only could her see the fear and pain in his eyes he could hear it to. The speed of her breathing and the rapid pace of her heart beat. Against his own will the ancient vampire could feel himself growing hungry. There was so much warm blood running through her veins, he swear he could almost smell it. What did the blood of a dragon in a human body taste like? A primal instinctual part of him urge him to reach out and bite into her neck.
Yet Mordred had spent ages learning to control his vampiric urges. No matter how hungry he currently was there was no way he was going to give into them against his own free will. So he suppressed it. Buried it deep within his mind as he focused on the task at hand. Not getting killed by the dragon lady, making sure not to kill her, and getting her back to his client. However, even that was blocked from his mind as he watched what unfolded next. The vampire watched as Cyn's face turned bright red and he realized the current position the two of them had found themselves in. Despite his protest his pale face began to turn a light shade of red as well though being a vampire it was at a much slower rate. This slower metabolism, however, didn't stop him from momentarily finding himself at a lost for words a moment later out of embarrassment.
"Made it? Ha! Are you out of your bloody mind?! Can you even see the state your wings are in?! You would've jump and plummeted to the ground before ultimately splattering like a bug on windshield! Also for the last time I already told you who I was! What did you want you to give me my whole life's history?! Will that make you finally listen to me?! My name is Mordred Iscariot, I was born around nine hundred and seventy seven years ago. I was a knight in a kingdom long forgotten by time and led a rebellion against the king before he fatally wounded me on the battlefield. After that I was turned by my sire and years later founded an organization composed of the people I turned. That organization has evolution into a gang known as the Bloods and I am here because a woman by the name of Dawn Scarlet asked me to bring you to her. Happy?"

Cyn could do little but stare with fear at the vampire as he recovered and explained himself. Of course, Cyn's question did seem to go over his head. She was more interested in knowing who he was working for, not who he actually was. Of course, that was her original thinking... But after hearing his story something stirred inside the dragon. Something familiar... Something dark.
Her wide eyes slowly began to shift from fear to shock. Her suspicions were correct! She knew this man! Some 800 years ago she had met him. That was a far different time, in a far different world. The bloody knight that attacked her and wounded her with this scar. She would not mistake the smell of that sword. Not again. Part of the dragon wanted to react with anger. She wanted to unleash her dragon fire upon this man and incinerate him where he stood... However, Cyn soon remembered she was no longer capable of such actions. Not anymore. They had taken it from her. Seeing this man again only a few feet away from her brought back memories. The fires, the roaring, and the sharp pain across her stomach. Whatever that sword was, it certainly wasn't normal... And her scar seemed to know that as it burned.
Before Cyn could say anything however, Mordred went on to explain he was hired to find her by someone named Dawn Scarlet. Not a name she knew, but it did still have some value to Cyn. From her understanding these people often liked to give themselves two names. Normally the second name was shared among the rest of that person's kin. Knowing this, Cyn could deduce that this "Dawn Scarlet" was not a Baskerville. At least not related to them anyways. That didn't rule out the possibility that she wasn't employed by them, however, so Cyn would need to tread carefully.
Trying her best to suppress the memories of battle with the vampire knight, Cyn swallowed the lump in her throat and weakly responded. "Y- You mean... You're not working for..-" She cut herself off, realizing that revealing too much might not be the best thing. Cyn slowly got to her feet again, staring with caution at the vampire. Her breathing had not slowed, but she did feel somewhat more at ease after being showed a glimmer of hope that the Baskerville's weren't involved. Even if it was only a glimmer. Thankfully it seemed Mordred had no idea who Cyn was, and that was a good thing. If he knew she was once the powerful black dragon that killed his friend, she doubted she'd still be here. Like Mordred had said, she'd likely be nothing more than a corpse on the pavement far below.
"I am known as... Cyn, vampire." was all that she could say. While it was obvious Cyn was not trusting of him, it was also just as obvious that she had calmed down a bit after hearing what he had to say. Even if for a moment.

"Not working for who? Since I'm going to be honest you seem to be terrified of them. I'd rather know what I'm dealing with before getting thrown into it."
Mordred didn't know who this girl was but he did know she had been terrified. Whoever she had thought he'd work for must of been a monstrous force for it to drive so one so far as to attempt jumping out a window with tattered wings than get captured. It seemed Dawn Scarlet wasn't the one being referred to, even though in the knight's opinion she was definitely creepy enough to fit the bill. So who was it that this girl was so afraid of and by taking her was he going to put a target on the Bloods? There was so much to consider but at the very least he could be happy that he had somehow managed to calm the crazy dragon lady down.
"You know, I've told you my name like three times now. You could at least trying referring to me by it instead of just calling me vampire. I didn't become a knight, nearly die, fight dragons, kill hunters, and run a gang just to be referred to as vampire."
As he spoke and looked at the girl in front of him a strange sense of familiarity ran through Mordred. He had definitely never seen this woman before in his life yet somehow a part of him seemed to recognize her. While his main focus was in the present in the back of his mind he was shuffling through thousands of memories looking for where the feeling was come from. Yet there was nothing. Absolutely nothing. In all of his hundreds of years of life he had never met her. Yet somehow the very subtle feeling of familiarity refused to go away. Regardless, the gang boss still had a job to complete so shaking off his doubt he looked back at his target and spoke again.
"Well now that you are no longer trying to jump to your death would you mind accompanying me to my employer? I'd much rather walk you there than having to fight you and drag you there. I'm sure you see it the same way."
With that Mordred got to feet and would offered to help Cyn up to her own.

So the vampire knight had no idea who Cyn really was or who was responsible for her current sorry state? That was definitely a load off her shoulders if she had to be honest with herself. After all, Mordred's cursed blade had already cut her once. It would take very little effort for it to finish the job now if the vampire willed it to be. He seemed more concerned about the people Cyn thought was chasing her now though, which made Cyn a little worried. If she told him would he hand her over? She had no idea how powerful or well known the Baskervilles were within the human world. For all she knew they could be running this city... Then again the vampire presented an interesting opportunity. Mordred was apparently working for another party. Someone who must've had influence if they had the means to hire Mordred and what Cyn could only assume was his gang of sorts. Someone with influence, maybe even power, would make a very useful ally. Of course she couldn't ignore the fact that this 'Dawn Scarlet' hired Mordred to take Cyn to her by force, so she wasn't very confident that this woman had a friendly conversation in mind for Cyn when she was brought to her. However, Cyn was running out of options. Even if she wanted to continue to run, there was nowhere left to go. The vampire had her cornered, and even if by some miracle she could lose Mordred, she would have no idea what to do or where to go...
Fate would determine her next move it seemed. Cyn swallowed the fear she had and finally opened her mouth. "P- people are looking for me." Cyn said quietly, looking back over the edge of the roof to the city below. "I- I don't know who they are exactly, other than a name they seemed to share. Baskerville was what I believed they called themselves." She said truthfully, turning to face Mordred again with a somber look in her eyes. "Up until recently, I was their prisoner." She told him. "The things they did to me... The things they did to my so-." She cut herself short, looking down at her hand which had balled into a tight fist. She breathed in slowly before looking back up at the vampire. "I- I'm sorry, Mordred." She said. The name stung her tongue as she said it, but she swallowed any anger and continued. She winced a bit when he mentioned the dragons part... She remembered all too well his experience with dragons.
"Y- Your employer.." She began. "Is she going to kill me?" She asked, staring at the vampire with the same sad expression. She wanted an honest answer, but wasn't sure if Mordred was the honest type...
