Name of Talent: Avalon
Concept: The ultimate, final, and incomplete project of Mordred’s sire that was passed on to him after she lost her original body. In its dormant state Avalon takes the form of a number of microscopic particles and cells circulating throughout Mordred’s bloodstream maintaining itself by sharing nutrients with its current host. When it is activated the particles exit the body of the person it is contracted to through any available opening out of the bloodstream it can find, usually this is a self inflicted cut the host has given themself. Once outside the body the microscopic particles and cells aggregate together taking the form of any weapon of the users choosing though in Mordred’s case it almost always manifests as a sword.
However, while Avalon takes the form of a weapon it was originally designed to be used as a tool of preservation for a dying vampire. Without a soul a dying vampire has no afterlife to look forward to after their death. It was to find a solution to this problem that Mordred’s sire began to develop this tool. A device that could store a vampire’s consciousness shortly before their death and inject this consciousness into a new body later on. Unfortunately, before she could complete the blade Mordred’s sire found herself in a dire situations and was forced to fuse with Avalon in order to keep herself alive. As such in its current state the weapon is incapable of granting any vampire stored inside, which at the moment is only Mordred’s sire, a new body.
Extra(s):
-The host of Avalon is able to connect to the mindscape where the consciousness of all the vampires contained inside are stored. Thus allowing the user to communicate with these vampires and these vampires with the user.
Positive Mechanics: What mechanical advantages does the Talent have? What it is good against? What does it allow the character to do? For every 3 positive mechanics one must have 1 negative mechanic.
-Avalon is a transferable talent that the user can pass on to a person of their choosing.
-This talent has no proper form and is capable of shapeshifting into the form of any type of weapon.
-The user’s vampiric powers are amplified proportionally to how many vampires are stored inside of Avalon. This includes blood manipulation, hypnosis, parent control, etc
-Being composed of vampiric cells Avalon will feed off any blood it comes into contact with and is also capable of absorbing an excess of blood to use for later use.
-This talent is able to use up the user’s blood and blood stored within itself to release powerful blood based attacks. The user has absolute control over the blood released from these attacks, being capable of completely manipulate its form as well as its state of matter.
-When this ability is active the user gains a +1 boost to their speed.
-When completed Avalon is able to inject the consciousness of one of the vampires stored inside of it into a body it has been stabbed into.(OOC permission needed)
Negative Mechanics: What mechanical disadvantages does the Talent have? What is it weak against? What flaws does it have in its execution? For every 3 positive mechanics one must have 1 negative mechanic.
-Due to the nature of the sword it can only be passed on to a vampire or another species that feeds off blood. Passing on the sword also requires the current user to sacrifice themself to become a part of Avalon.
-Since Avalon is created from vampiric cells, the user’s need for blood is amplified proportionally to how many vampires are stored within the weapon.
-Blood attacks expend the weapons blood storage and when at extreme levels the user’s own blood. As such the use of a large number of repetitive blood attacks without feeding will result in the host weakening and possibly going into a starved craze.
