In a world of myths and mysteries, the pinnacle of the magical academies exists. Eldritch Academy offers education to all ages and species but specializes in the study and training of one's innate mystical capabilities, often called Eldritch Energies, Powers, or Unknowns, but more formally known as their Talent. However, tensions run high with the nations only holding a fragile peace as the Talents that rival the epitomes of technology change the balance of power.
With the more recent uprising of evil Shades and introduction of combat-oriented programs into Talent-focused schools, nations grow more aggressive towards one another. The demand for resources grows, and skirmishes at the border of Arka and Mistere become more frequent. Monsters run into the nations from the Wildes, terrorizing villages and cities. The need for trained or in-training Hunters and Guardians has never been more urgent.

don't get him wrong, he did his best to be gentle with the unruly hairs. chuckling softly at the feeling of the seedlings shifting along his skin, he purred warmly, "Mm. They considered you an extent of me, since you were resting in my lap." he murmured warmly in gentle humor before being interrupted by a yawn, "apologies, I guess I'm more than I thought." he murmurs faintly with another yawn, "mind if we swap guarding duty?" he asks sleepily.

Plants. Plants everywhere. Ozaki couldn’t help but think briefly how odd it was to be treating the plants like they had their own personality…. Well to a fairy that was probably true. He just saw the world in a different way was all. Nothing wrong with that. Ozaki hoped Jers didn’t find offense to that trail of thought there.
“Sure.” Ozaki would say as he straightened himself up, using his wing to push himself up rather than one of his arms as his rubbed at his eyes. They were basically like a second set of arms for him when he wasn’t flying. Albeit they didn’t have as any fingers of course… But they still worked well. Anyhow, of course he could let Jers sleep for a bit. That was the least he could do.

a low noise of amused exhaustion left Jer as he watched Ozaki sit up and rub his eyes, thinking it cute to watch him as he smiled. gently placing the seedlings on the ground, he traded places, easily taking the cloak back and folding it into a pillow shape that he enjoyed, cuddling the oval-like pillow under his head and in his arms.
he was slightly curled up on the ground, comfortable in the grass, eyes closed and relaxed. "Thanks." he murmurs faintly, fingers entangled in the longer stalks of grass, a reaction to the nightmares that he knew better than his own self. Nobody ever said being a fae who lived long was able to know their own mind. It entailed one of the Lords from when the fae were all connected and rather peacefully joined. yawning, he settled in for a short rest under the tree, practically curled up in the roots, the glimmer of his scars dulling and brightening in response to the flow of magick within the tree.

Ozaki couldn’t help but be a little disappointed Jers chose to sleep on the ground rather than next to him, but he shooed the thought away. If Jers wanted his space he’d respect that. He’d just keep watch.

his wish would be answered. not long after he had drifted off, jer awoke with a start and faintly cursed in an odd sounding language, panting as he regained his wits.
looking up at ozaki from his position on the ground, he panted softly, "Sorry. Bad dreams are bastards to handle." he murmurs as he sits up and flushes a little, "It helps sleeping beside someone, would it be okay if I slept at your side?"

“Don’t need to tell me that.” Ozaki would agree sympathetically. He’d been having nightmares a lot recently himself. Being snuggled up next to Jers had been one of the rare exceptions to the rule, for obvious reasons. “Go right ahead.” He was trying not to smile too eagerly right now given Jers had woken up because of a nightmare. But hell if he didn’t enjoy a good snuggle. Even if the rest of the stuff wigged him out considerably.

Giving a soft amused noise, he took up the acceptance, shuffling closer to him, automatically semi curling around the other so he was laying on his stomach, and the rest of him was settled behind ozaki, his expression exhausted.
he slept peacefully, fingers twitching now and then, slumbering at his side, growing easy when he bumped against him.

As Jers slept beside him Ozaki felt a burbling of laughter begin to rise in him like a river. He kept the volume to the whisper of a stream, not wishing to disrupt Jers’ rest. “How about that Yuuto? I slept with a man today.” He would chortle to himself. He was a man, true in age well enough. Yet in his body he was stuck in the ever erratic strangeness that was that of a teenager’s existence. And in his mind there was a powerful urge to rebel.
Not in violence or hatred, not out of spite… Though of course there was plenty there. But for his own heart, his rebellion was that of kindness. A rebellion against everything Yuuto stood for. And that was no act he put on for himself or others. Even if the rage inside him burned like an inferno at times. How much he had felt it as of late.
Perhaps. Just perhaps. He ought try something new. A sweet rebellion against the bitterness of the world. That was who he was. Ozaki made many mistakes in his time… But perhaps the biggest one was forgetting that. It was what he wished to be, and there for it was what he was.

Jer slept peacefully at his side, nestled in close and comfortably, coming to an hour or so past that time. giving a tired yawn, he sat up against Ozaki, relying on him for a second for balance as his world corrected itself for him. "Mhnn. Good morning cutie." he chuckles softly, stretching his arms high above his head with a yawn, resting his head against Ozaki's shoulder.
oh, he had heard that tidbit about sleeping with a man, and that was being stored away for later reference. he admired and respected Ozaki, and for just meeting him, that was astonishing, because it took quite some time for him to respect and admire anyone, but Ozaki was a different case. he was smart, and he had plans and it didn't hurt that he felt things just like anybody else. It made him protective of the other, in honesty, because he didn't want the other to be hurt anymore than he had to be.
