In a world of myths and mysteries, the pinnacle of the magical academies exists. Eldritch Academy offers education to all ages and species but specializes in the study and training of one's innate mystical capabilities, often called Eldritch Energies, Powers, or Unknowns, but more formally known as their Talent. However, tensions run high with the nations only holding a fragile peace as the Talents that rival the epitomes of technology change the balance of power.
With the more recent uprising of evil Shades and introduction of combat-oriented programs into Talent-focused schools, nations grow more aggressive towards one another. The demand for resources grows, and skirmishes at the border of Arka and Mistere become more frequent. Monsters run into the nations from the Wildes, terrorizing villages and cities. The need for trained or in-training Hunters and Guardians has never been more urgent.

Most people wouldn’t expect a vampire strolling around during the day. Those who did not have a keen eye, however, might not suspect Ozaki to be one currently. He had put on make-up to give himself a more normal hued skin color, and so long as he didn’t open his mouth too wide his fangs weren’t terribly noticeable. Even if someone did happen to see them they might not automatically assume he was a vampire given the context of the time of day.
The umbrella he had perched on his shoulder to protect himself from sunlight wasn’t too strange either currently. Rain had been sprinkling on and off all day, so it was fair if someone was a bit lazy with not putting it away.
There were also at least a few species with elongated fangs, and so long as he wasn’t showing other signs they might assume he was one of the other species. Hunting was a lot easier when people did not automatically suspect you for being a vampire. It was also easier when you just looked like a normal kid.
Ozaki was currently dressed like an actual teen, something that would absolutely never be seen around Eldritch Academy when he was at work. There he tried to put on a professional demeanor and tried everything he could to look older than his body was currently stuck at. But outside of work and on the hunt for blood? Wearing a baggy hoodie and jeans was appropriate. Granted, even with his unusual attire, his hair would be a dead give away for instant recognizability for anyone who personally knew him. It perpetually looked like a hurricane blew through.
He was looking forward to today’s hunt. Ozaki wouldn’t admit it to anyone, but he honestly did get a bit of a thrill from doing this. Sure his methods weren’t necessarily the most… Traditional. But they were safe and clean. Plus, he could feed far more than himself this way. Which was what his intent was with this anyhow.
Ozaki was currently looking around for a good target. Someone who looked lost or confused would do well. That one was a common trick of his. Help someone to where they were going. And perhaps on the way they could help him with a little something too...

A confused young man is exactly what he would stumble across, the gent standing by himself and looking left to right, trying to recall which roads led to which destinations, which store had what ingredients, and most importantly, which people he should trust and which people he should regard in some careful sense. Gods guide his footsteps and let him make contact with someone who knew what the hell they were doing in this forsaken place of puzzling turns and curves!
Perhaps luck was on his side, and perhaps it just simply waited for him to make a movement. Clearing his throat, the man would sweep loose black hairs from his face, drawing the inky gleaming strands up into a high ponytail, colored like a raven's feather, sheening in painful contrast to his surroundings. He wore a shirt that went past his waist, tucked into his shorts' waist and, a jerkin or what could be assumed to be as such laying over top, filigree gold artfully pieced together to lay over the upper left of his temple, holding back his hair and perhaps hiding an old scar. Over his jerkin he wore a cloak that reached just to his waist, revealing long strong legs that hid nothing about the danger that they could provide.
Despite looking far out of place in this place with his odd foot coverings, he really didn't wear shoes, which was strange within itself, the man worried at his lip, cold bright blue eyes sweeping the area around himself before finally landing on him and warning very slightly. He went to approach him with a friendly call, "Sir! Do you know this area?"

Yessss. Ozaki felt a thrill bubble up in his system. Had his chosen prey not simply walked up to him he would have done so himself. They were indeed lost. The vampire smiled, for once not truly having to worry about in regards to being outed for them.
That was both a good and a bad thing. Good in that he looked more human because of it. Bad because of the circumstances in which he had resorted to filing his fangs down and the incredible amounts of pain he’d be in right now if he had not already injected pain killers directly into the nerves to stop it.
He walked over to Jerisidie, sporting a wide smile. “Sure do! Where you headed?”
Hold on a minute... The guy wasn't using his mouth to talk. But telepathy. There were different levels of mind reading. And depending on which this guy was capable of he would not have tow worry. Maybe he could only project his thoughts into another's mind... Ozaki would have to wait and see if the man reacted to anything hunting related Ozaki had jut thought. And the fang thing.

Ah finally. Hearing that he did, in fact, know where they were helped the small male relax and re-evaluate his surroundings, "Yknow, this is gonna sound super stupid, but somewhere more green first, if I could. All the stone feels like its closing in on me. I'm used to big wide spaces." and he projected too much for a simple request.
ah, the thoughts about fangs? completely normal to him. tipping his head slightly he gave a polite smile, "Are you hungry?", he questioned with his telepathic abilities. sometimes he would pick up on thoughts directed at him, and unluckily for ozaki this was one of those moments. he didn't seem to mind it though, "if you're considering attacking me, you should just ask.", came the gentle mental laugh, smile on his lips.

Oh Carmilla damn it. This one was quite perceptive with their usage of telepathy. These ones were the devil to handle. But as it was they seemed willing enough to lend some blood… But he couldn’t exactly… Nope. Nope. Get your thoughts away from there. They don’t need to know that.
Ozaki was trying to hide his flusterment at such a forward offer. He had never really gotten the hang of just like… Biting a person normal like. He tended to avoid it if he could given his… Unfortunate track record with it. Damn it! Well it didn’t matter what this one heard. He could erase his mind as easy as anything anyways. Unless they had something up their sleeve. Damn it damn it damn it. “Y-yah. Sure. I could do that.” That could work well enough for his plans anyways. Ozaki started leading the way, trying to keep eye contact even through his fritzing out. If he couldn't keep it for long enough he couldn't hypnotize the other.

a look of concern appeared on the small dark fae's face, expression faltering, "are you okay? might be weird to figure out what you just did, huh? I can talk normally... it's just much harder and rough.", he murmured softly with a weak grin before moving as if to follow him.
he had no such thoughts of using anything against the other male, he was relatively new and just wanted some help figuring out things around him. things he would ask about later on. perhaps he could befriend him? by no means was he unaware of what the other could do for him. as it was, he had a few blossoms in his hair, being more of a neutral bloom, well, leaves. he had sweetbriar leaves and berries curled around a few strands of hair, as if growing from it, something that just happened as he had found. "what's your name?"

The hunt felt mildly spoiled given that his chosen prey already knew what was happening. He still did kind of want someone to talk to though… That had been his other intent for this hunt. How much could this guy hear anyways? Ozaki seriously needed to get something to protect from this kind of thing. He could act chipper all day, but those two groups tended to be able to see even past his best acting… Which wasn’t that great given that he normally seemed pretty anxious and stuttery he’d admit.
Ozaki sighed. “Yuuki Ozaki, I’m a vampire, though you probably know that by now.” He himself couldn’t quite place what the person before him was, hence why he led with that in his introduction, in hopes that doing so may lead them to reveal their own species too. "If I may ask... How many of my thoughts did you just hear?"

a smile and curtsey, "hello, yuuki ozaki. i'm jerisidie lingré, but feel free to call me tomma or jer, i am a member of the fae species, more or less of the dark fae. ah, i have personal experience with vampires and blood devils.", he laughed with a touch to his throat, making sure that the makeup hiding the scars was still in place. all good.
ah, next question. "how many? it's been a rather long time since i have been around others outside of my folk and my charge, so not many. I tend to pick up on thoughts directed to me."

Okay. So so long as he didn’t think thoughts at the dark fae he should be fine. Dark fae… Hold the phone there. His voice had to be killing him talking like that. That was pretty terrible. Ozaki understood why they did it… But still. Talking to the dark fae could be dangerous. He should just hypnotize him now and tell him to shush. He could find someone else to talk to. Ozaki did oh so hate thinking like that though. Discrimination based on one’s species wasn’t right. Any how, Ozaki didn't want the fae to hurt himself on his account. “If its too much of a strain you can go back to telepathy if you like… I mean so long as you don’t go super deep into reading my mind or whatever when you do… I’ll still be speaking normally.”
This dark fae apparently had plenty of experience with vampires. And even blood devils.

“So I’ve read…” He muttered with a shrug, offering a half smile to try and show he wasn’t worried… Which of course was a lie. But being worried was just a general state of mind for the vampire.
“Though… I reckon I could use a listener.” Ozaki felt weird asking for that. “I mean… If its not too much trouble and all.” He could hypnotize Jer to forget everything, but if he wasn’t the type to exactly want to listen in the first place then there wasn’t much point in talking to him in the first place.

"I'll listen. Least I can do in response for you leading me somewhere green." he grinned amiably, more than happy to listen to another's problems over his own concerns.
"I truly don't mind listening. I swear upon my power that I will not tell a soul of anything that is told to me." yep, he knew strings were attached and all things considered, the vampire before him reacted differently to his telepathy and thought reading, far differently from someone who didn't know what it was. it seemed that he might have some mental powers of his own.

Ozaki? Mind powers? Far from it. His roleplayer was amused at the fae’s assumption at this. Any how. Ozaki was currently trying to figure out where to start. There was a lot going on for him recently. A lot of people had been pressing him for what was going on and he had been avoiding a lot of those questions. And now he was about to tell a near complete stranger what was going on… With not even the knowledge of whether they’d be even half sympathetic.
But it was fine. It was fine. He was going to make them forget either way. So it was fine.
He was taking the dark fae somewhere green certainly. Whether this worked out well or not. “I can promise I’ll do that…” Ozaki rubbed the back of his hair a bit, ruffling up what was already quite the unruly head of hair even further. “Okay then… Well… Ahh… Well… There’s been a lot going on for me recently that’s been digging up a lot of old memories for me. Things I’d rather just stay in the past… But I’m seeing that that’s not really possible any more.”

In the city? “Maybe I can help you look for him later… I mean if you mean you lost him recently and not in the lost as in dead thing…” Oh dear he was messing it up. “But after we get you to somewhere green and… Yah I’m gonna be frank… I mean you already know and are cool with me taking blood from you right? Right.”
Right.
Move on. Stop rambling.
“I guess life altering. Don’t go shouting bloody murder about this… Or say anything to anyone…” That one was a hypnotic command given, Ozaki not feeling yet comfortable enough with the fae to confess this without having some insurance that he wouldn’t blab to everyone. He spoke in a hushed tone now, nervous of someone overhearing. “But yah… I mean the killing part did happen a long time ago when I was new to being a vampire though. Still happened. But that was fifteen years ago. What happened more recently was me finding the man that turned me all those years ago and then ditched me to figure it out on my own... Which obviously I didn't do a very good job at considering the body count."
