In a world of myths and mysteries, the pinnacle of the magical academies exists. Eldritch Academy offers education to all ages and species but specializes in the study and training of one's innate mystical capabilities, often called Eldritch Energies, Powers, or Unknowns, but more formally known as their Talent. However, tensions run high with the nations only holding a fragile peace as the Talents that rival the epitomes of technology change the balance of power.
With the more recent uprising of evil Shades and introduction of combat-oriented programs into Talent-focused schools, nations grow more aggressive towards one another. The demand for resources grows, and skirmishes at the border of Arka and Mistere become more frequent. Monsters run into the nations from the Wildes, terrorizing villages and cities. The need for trained or in-training Hunters and Guardians has never been more urgent.

“Yaaaaah.” Ozaki nodded in agreement as he busied himself in quickly brushing the unicorn’s fur. Might as well try to pick up the pace a bit. The sedative he had taken was technically one that reduced his speed… But that mostly just meant for him that the inhuman levels of speed were inaccessible right now. And it probably wouldn’t be a good idea to go that quickly around these unicorns anyways.
“Just as well my boss told me I couldn’t work and I came here instead, right? Imagine how much worse this’d be allll on your own.” Scrub scrub scrub. He was smiling a bit doofy currently. Scrub scrub scrub. He liked that sound right now.

He had half the mind to say some things to that, though that would likely only serve to slow the work down further. “I’m not entirely sure that’s how that’d go down….” In all fairness, were he alone, he would have focused solely on doing the work, rather than the constant distraction of conversation, or simply anything that had to do with the guy for some reason. And if he managed to find a more efficient way of doing this, maybe going at it alone would prove to even be faster. With a sigh, he’d step away briefly to get himself a new unicorn, casting a frown towards the vampire once he walked back in.
“Do I want to ask why you look like you’re high right now?” Honestly, some part of him didn’t but he was sure it would just bother him in the end. Plus, he’d swear to God if the guy did something to himself and he’d have to spend time making sure he didn’t do something stupid as a result instead of getting the actual work done... |

“… Probably not.” At least he didn’t look like he wanted to ask. Ozaki should probably shoosh a little bit for now. I mean yah Sharaku said look high. But the more he spoke the more of a risk this stuff presented. Hadn’t he been trying to keep mum on the whole not being allowed to work thing?
Ah well. No big deal. Just focus on the unicorn. If only one of them had some sort of cleaning spell this would go faster. Did Ozaki have anything that’d make this easier? No. Not really. Eh. That was fine. He wondered how many stablehands they must have had before. And how literally all of them were apparently not virgins any more. That was probably quite the story on its own. Also none of his business though.

Ozaki shook his head. “Nope. We’re fine here. There’s no danger from the uni-horns. Unicorns. Eh. Same diff.” He snorted a little, not pausing in his grooming efforts. Maybe he should have done a different one… But the other ones would have made him sleepy. And heaven knew if he went with something like that he likely would conk out quickly given how sleep hadn’t been easy these past few days. Having gangsters tracking your every step didn’t make it easy. He’d managed to give them the slip quite a few times.
But they were persistent. Heh... He wondered what their reaction would have been to seeing him come here. Yes... Messing with them would be fun. They were only following him. There was technically no threat in that. So long as that was all they were doing.

Ozaki grimaced at that, looking at the unicorn. It was rather weird they liked virgins… No. Sharaku was joking. Weird joke. But still definitely a joke. “Naw man. We’re cool.” Ice cold. Yup. That was Ozaki right now. He was the coolest. Particularly in body temperature. His hands were cold. No body temperature regulation did come with being a vampire. He wondered if the were-vamp had that too. It being cold didn’t matter so much to Ozaki. But now he was curious.
Maybe he’d get an excuse to poke Sharaku at some point. But he couldn’t stop washing the unicorn. “And I don’t think anyone’s or aah… Anything is gonna charge in. We’re probably safe there.”

The Vamp Wolf | He wanted to facepalm, he really did. Though to be fair, someone barging in would perhaps even be a welcome change of pace. In fact, it wasn’t exactly implausible for that to happen, as much as that was not his original point in this matter. There were unicorns here. Unicorns. He’d be willing to bet that some poachers or thieves or whoever coming here to try and get free unicorn horns was an occurrence that must have happened before, and maybe even happened fairly frequently. Whether the owners had a way to guard the unicorns from such attackers or not was something to wonder about, but it was nevertheless undeniable that there would be people who would chance it.
“…that was not even my point. Though I wouldn’t call this place entirely safe either, since you mention that.” Can’t predict the future after all, and given that people could have reasons to charge in here, it was always a possibility, even if only a distant one. |

“Oh. So now you’re paranoid? Maybe you should take a chill pill Sharaku.” Ozaki patted the unicorn’s side. “Unless you somehow magically loose your V-card in the next five minutes, these things are literally no danger.” And he didn’t really see how that would happen. I mean they were two guys after all.
Well… There were people who were into that. And confusingly enough he had occasionally had thoughts wander in that direction. But you know what? As great as his failure streak with women was he wasn’t exactly looking to add more to it with the added difficulty of trying to figure out if the other guy was even into that stuff. And also how to even… Do that dating thing with guys. Ozaki could barely be considered competent in the “dating thing” with women as it was either.

Oh right. Vampires did need a bit of time for… Emermmmmm… Yah. He guessed being part were-wolf didn’t aide Sharaku near enough for that. Or maybe it was something else. Maybe he should be thinking about something else. Anything else either than the logistics of vampire mating.
He started on the mane of the unicorn, starting from the ends to more easily get out the knots. He was starting to remember how to do this better… Obviously Ozaki himself didn’t often bother combing his own hair. Hardly any point when it would get messed up sooner or later. “Aaaah. Right. Yah. You know, we are fine. The closest we are to danger is the color of it. But then again not really… I should shut up now.”
Mordred had hair the same color as a unicorn’s… That was kind of funny now he thought about it. He was already snickering quietly to himself about it.

Well. Ozaki guessed that Sharaku didn’t want to talk about unicorns then. He had taken quite a few punches to the face. But any concussion that might have produced would have been healed by now. No concussion. He was just high. He… Probably should have gone for a lower dose. But naw. He was feeling alright now.
Too late for regrets there. He was going to be quiet now. Just focus on the unicorns. Focusssss.

The Vamp Wolf | It wasn’t that he didn’t want to talk about unicorns at all. What he really didn’t want was for his words to be going one ear in, and the other out without being processed properly. He had pointed out twice that his concern wasn’t over the unicorns harming them, but the guy just kept rambling about how they simply couldn’t be dangerous so there was no need to worry. Yeah, he clearly knew that, duh. However now he had to worry whether the vampire was even trying to listen to him and think about what was being said. That just helped piss him off, and not even getting any response at all did not help any either. Gotta love people who think silence is somehow the best answer to whatever seems problematic. You’re definitely dealing with the issue. Good job, really.
Though, the guy was lucky at the very least, as he wasn’t the type to be explosive about things for the most part. Sharp like a blade for sure, but he did not throw tantrums like a kid even when angry. You’d never be sure whether he was or not if he didn’t want you to. Honestly, sometimes he didn’t even know whether he wanted to or not…

Ozaki would have honestly been surprised to hear that Sharaku wanted to continue talking. For now Ozaki was fine with the silence, it felt like he was drifting on a cloud now. After all the stress he’d been through in the past couple of days it was nice to have some form of respite. And now a future plan that hopefully wouldn’t blow up in his face. He didn’t know what his sire might do if he started acting out like that. but so long as it wasn’t tearing off his limbs what the fuck did it matter if he thought Ozaki was acting ridiculous?
Lets see. A trampoline park would be sufficiently random enough. Where else? A bar. Do some stupid dancing moves. Ozaki tried to think for awhile, going through at least four unicorns in complete silence before finally speaking up again. “Hey. What’s the most random place you can think of? Like, a weird one.”
