♦ STUDENT INFORMATION ♦
Name: Viper Creek
Gender: Female
Age: 19
Year in school: First Year in High School
Mastery: Scholar
Dorm: Sage
Height: 5'6"
Appearance: Physical appearance is the same as face claim, except for her hair. Her hair is cut short, with one side of her head completely shaved and the top of her head swept to the other side and cut so that hung equal to her chin. Her hair is black except for her roots, which are a slightly brighter shade of green. In terms of clothing, however, they are very different. Viper wears tan cargo pants, with pockets usually full of different vials of medicinal poisons and potions. Her top is a green, sleeveless tank top underneath a blue jean jacket that only goes down to her stomach. Her skin was almost completely flawless except for three snake bite scars on her left arm. The metal pieces of her arm are resemblance of a snake's eye(bottom picture)
Personality: One major aspect of Viper stands out among everything else is the fact that she never speaks. This is in fact because she can't. Born mute, she has never uttered even a single noise for any reason, be it pain, happiness or sadness. Despite this silence, she was never one to turn down social interactions, and would use facial expressions and hand simple hang gestures to let others know what she thought. She was always seen as friendly and kind towards others, even after she had been cast out because of her magic abilities. Nowadays she has a snake which usually travels wrapped around an arm and across her shoulders which has the uncanny ability to speak for her. Her appearance often comes across as punky, but in reality she is a rather caring person. Even with being caring she isn't naive, and has enough common sense not to trust just anybody. (Minimum 100 words.)
History: The history of Viper is about the same of any other member of the Fives from the Enerzian species, with one major difference. Where the other Fives were cast out because of their unusual ability to manipulate multiple forms of energy, Viper can only manipulate a single magic. She was cast out because her magic was unique, one that had never been seen. This caused those who were in charge of determining Fives to believe she was one. After being cast out and taken in by the Fives, she decided not to let the event change who she was, and continued with her usual lifestyle with the exception of being able to rely on her hometown's assistance.
Once cast out, like many others, she became dedicated to finding out how to use her powers. When she discovered that she could use hers rather easily and without much backlash, she came to the realization that she couldn't manipulate multiple types like other Fives. This discovery angered her, as she had been cast out just because her magic was different. This is what brought about her own hatred of the rest of the Enerzian people. When she realized what her power was actually of a venomous and poisonous nature, she started to perfect her manipulation of it to create medicinal brews and poisonous/venomous potions which she used in hunting. While she was an okay hunter, she found more comfort in the trapping and studying of different creatures.
The creatures she found most fascinating, and the ones she found herself to be more naturally skilled at taming, were snakes. The first snake she trapped and bonded with was a Spitting Cobra she named Siris. After fully taming it and both becoming more comfortable around each other, the snake revealed that it could actually speak, having been the subject of a test ran by an unnamed wild sorcerer years before this encounter. The snake spoke to her and explained that it had seen her trapping an animal, but not killing it, and had decided to find out on its own why this was. Once the snake had found out that she only studied the animals, it had felt that she would be a better companion, as she cared for all animals she trapped and seemed to need a better way to communicate. The snake had watched her and studied her itself while she was 'taming' it, and came to know how to tell what it was she wished to tell others by watching how she reacted to certain things.
With her new companion, she found socializing much easier, though she had to correct the snake on certain occasions. It was slow learning at first, but once the two got to know each other more Siris was almost flawless in speaking for Viper. This event was what led Viper to acquire her name, and the location of her home being right next to a running creek gave her the last name Creek. The Five known as Talon was a witness to this naming, and even came to Viper afterwards for help crafting poisons for his hunts. The two became semi-partners from these trades, with Talon giving her some of the meat from his hunts as well as the Ziros Roots he was known for finding in exchange for her poisons.
After Talon left to find some academy, it wasn't long before a certain merchant with a fake, bright blue eye showed up to explain that Talon had been welcomed in the academy. This intrigued Viper, and set her off on the trip to the academy alongside the merchant who acted as her travel guide and companion. He made sure her trip was quick and safe, getting her as far as the city itself before dropping her off. Once within the city, she found it difficult to find the academy, as most people avoided her due to the snake which rod on her shoulders. (Optional)
♦ SPECIES INFORMATION ♦
Name of Species: Enerzian
Baseline Dimension: Average height for an Enerzian is roughly just under six feet. One's body build is usually a slightly muscular build, just enough to handle physical battle. Average weight of this race is between 150-170.
Baseline Appearance: Eye color of an Enerzian matches that of their natural energy manipulation type. The 5% who are able to control multiple types begin have a deep, vibrant shade of violet eyes, and their eyes will change their hue based on the energy being manipulated. The hair of the average Enerzian is a darker shade of gray, bordering black. All Enerzian have roots which match their eye color, with the 5%'s roots being permanently violet.
The race known as Enerzian has one main physical appearance trait which stands out. Each Enerzian has a metallic, slightly raised design which runs along whatever part of their body houses the main aspect of their Talent, usually taking a design of flowing energy.
Culture/Origin of Species: The Enerzian race is one that evolved within a land full of different arcane energies. Enerzians evolved to control these energies as no distinct physical sources could be found. Once general control of these energies was achieved, a community was formed in a way that set those who manipulated a certain form of energy were designated to certain tasks related to said energy.
The majority of the Enerzian race followed this, though a small group of Enerzians was discovered to have the ability to manipulate more than just a single type of energy, but instead switch between different ones. As these people were different and dangerously powerful compared to others within the culture, they were almost always known as the outcasts, and were more often than naught turned away from the classes which would help them learn to control their abilities. Due to this, most of these 5% leave their homeland, making their population count at less than 1% within their homeland.
Generally, each different role group is lead by a group of three who have proven themselves able to handle such responsibility, and these three from each group form a council which acts as the judge, jury and executioner of the Enerzians.
Traits: 1: The Enerzian race is one that is naturally resilient to the energy they are able to manipulate, with similar energies also being slightly less effective in attacks against them.
2: An Enerzian is able to take control of and redirect an attack so long as it is a pure form of their natural energy (Fire with fire, lightning with lightning, variant form with matching variant, etc) This technique may fail for PC's.
3: Enerzians can sense the presence of external arcane energies (magic energy outside of a living body) and track the energy very accurately.
4: All Enerzians have the ability to manipulate basic energy around them to give themselves a slight boost in magic power. This can't be used too much as they are drained by manipulating an energy that is not natural to their own.
5: Given the proper training, an Enerzian is able to channel their own energy into an object, such as a weapon. This lets them wield a physical weapon which can be used to send out waves of energy during a physical attack.
6: Through meditation, an Enerzian can store reserves of energy inside specially made crystals which one constantly wears around their neck. This is used as emergency reserves for if they were to find themselves in need during battle, or if they wish to reserve their own energy but have need of magic.
7: All Enerzians are able to manipulate the most basic and common forms of energy, such as kinetic energy and similar forms.
8: Through the manipulation of the energy around them, Enerzians have the ability to temporarily lower the the Strength aspect by a single level. They do this by one of two methods. The first is simply by pulling the energy of the opponent from them during the Enerzian's own attack. This is a difficult technique, and is very easily disrupted. The second method is simply by suppressing the energy of their opponent with the Enerzian's own energy. This is much simpler and easier to pull off, however it also weakens the Enerzian's own Strength, as they are using their energy to do this and thus limiting their reserves.
Flaws: 1: When manipulating the energy used by another, an Enerzian can only handle a smaller amount of energy, around 2 or three basic attacks worth before they lose control and get backlash from the redirection.
2: Arcane types which oppose the natural energy of an Enerzian is greatly effective against them, attacks from these opposing energies often resulting in the Enerzian receiving rather serious amounts of both physical damage as well as damage to their own magics, making it hard for them to manipulate even their own energy for a bit.
3: If the energy of an Enerzian if mixed with the energy of another, whether deliberately or through attempted counter-attack, the Enerzian's energy reacts violently, usually detonating and causing a chain reaction back to the Enerzian which damages them wherever the magic was delivered from and often causes them intense pain, due to the different energy which they are not use too
4: Being energy manipulators, Enerzians are unable to cast their own advanced spells (any spells outside of those which everyone is able to do). In order to cast these, Enerzians need sole kind of energy source to manipulate.
5: Because of their natural affinity with magic and energies, Enerzians tend to be unable to maximize their strength potentials.
