welcome to Eldritch Academy
In a world of myths and mysteries, the pinnacle of the magical academies exists. Eldritch Academy offers education to all ages and species but specializes in the study and training of one's innate mystical capabilities, often called Eldritch Energies, Powers, or Unknowns, but more formally known as their Talent. However, tensions run high with the nations only holding a fragile peace as the Talents that rival the epitomes of technology change the balance of power.
With the more recent uprising of evil Shades and introduction of combat-oriented programs into Talent-focused schools, nations grow more aggressive towards one another. The demand for resources grows, and skirmishes at the border of Arka and Mistere become more frequent. Monsters run into the nations from the Wildes, terrorizing villages and cities. The need for trained or in-training Hunters and Guardians has never been more urgent.

"It's a long road When you face the world alone No one reaches out a hand For you to hold" It probably would be such an exciting time being in their first day of class, with high expectations, happy to meet new friends and starts with the best stage of their lives. But it wasn't Rumiko's case. Instead of feeling happy, a strong fear filled the teenager's heart, a heart that a long time ago lost any hope of meeting kindness and acceptance. And after expending years in a circus where she was treated as an attraction. She wasn't allowed to interact with others apart from the ones who kept her in a cage where only the coldness gave her company. But she was now free of those chains, chains that used to avoid her from escaping. But after a miracle she did. And here she was, free and ready to start a new chapter. But she couldn't help but feel scared, scared of being treated like trash once again. And even if her time in the circus was now three years ago, she still had memories from those dark days. And because of how harsh she was treated, she grew an extreme terror for interacting with others. But she knew that by starting a college, she would have to meet many people, wanting it or not. Her lupine legs carried her throw that place trying to calm down. Her heart pounded quickly, Knowing what awaited her after the ring announced the start of the first class. And as the stress increased at each second, her walking became faster and announcing t¿more fear crossing through her body. She wanted to run and disappear, but she wanted to learn and that helped her with staying strong or at least trying to. Her ears remained flattened against the back of her skull, and her tail remained lowered. "Speech"Note: She is in her wolf form

While she walked in the courtyard after class, Kaname was preoccupied trying to figure out why she was so irritable without her sword. There was something special about it. There had to be. She would make a return trip to the library and try to find some books on weaponry. Maybe her sword was in one of them.
She recalled her father Adam once mentioning that it was used in a war many years ago. She thought that it was just a falsehood a salesman came up with to convince her father to buy the weapon. Weapons used in historical events tended to sell for a lot more than weapons just off the assembly line.
Something felt different about the sword. It did not feel or handle like a mass-produced weapon at all. Too much attention was put into the blade and the handgrip, which was actual sharkskin. Kaname would have to research it later because right now something caught her attention. It was a black dog with blue eyes.
"Hi there." Kaname greeted the creature.

Cirzirue was flying around in the air, gliding slowly downward, she never did like to take on human forms. Instead she chose to stay in her fae form as much as she could. By that she was more inclined to stay in it at all times and chosen simply a size between human and fairy. This made her awfully short, standing at about 1'9". However, she didn't really care for what others thought about it. As she flapped her wings, the fairy went back up higher before noticing down a wolf moving around. Her kind was known to communicate with animals and Cirzirue did feel better with animals than the more "humanoid" races as one could call all these species that wandered around Skiagis. Demons, angels, monsters, humans, and all sorts of manner of creatures. Still, there were the woodland creatures that were much more... natural.
Floating down towards the wolf, another had already moved nearer to it as she hung upside-down and lowered herself further. "Hello," she said in a calm voice towards both of the beings, she wasn't entirely sure if this person could communicate with animals as well. So she didn't really want to start prying and just hung in place in the air as her wings slowly motioned calmly in the wind. The movement was mainly to keep her in her position rather than drop her on her head as she tried to stay in position. Looking at the wolf, it had clear blue eyes, it didn't feel natural, the wolf itself didn't feel too natural. Did she misjudge herself? This feels awkward, could the animal be her pet? she looked at Kaname.

"It's a long road When you face the world alone No one reaches out a hand For you to hold" Rumiko sat down as she tried her best to stop the fear that was slowly eating her insides, screaming to her to run, to run and never come back. If she wanted she could run as fast as she could and go somewhere else. But no, she knew it was time for her to try fighting her fears, to stop letting them take control of her life. But then a voice took her attention away from her thoughts. With a clear expression of surprise, turns around and the figure of a white-haired girl came to her blue eyes. And as always, her fear explodes. But of course, she tried her best to seem normal even if that was far from being a fact. "Hi..." she greeted back with a low voice from which her fear was fairly noticeable. She didn't know what else to say, as she normally didn't talk much. Not only because of the fear, but also she lacked on fluency because of her captivity. "Who are you?" Asked shyly. Her ears remained lowered and her eyes didn't leave the ground. She felt uncomfortable, with having eye contact with others because she was taught to don't do so. And even if she didn't have to perform in a circus anymore she simply couldn't stop doing that. It became part of her, so she wasn't able to ignore that. But then someone else arrived, increasing her fear. If her fear was high with a single person, two were terrifying. "Hey..." She greeted the newcomer, "Speech"

Considering the way she had lived until coming to this academy she had never laid eyes on any sort of wolf before, even if she had attended school prior with some odd species there was never any reason for them to leave their humanoid forms. The last place she attended? Was different from this school, starkly so with much less focus on talents and abilities. Thus, when her gaze fell onto a wolf walking across the space in front of her, she was slightly stunned for a little bit. Most of the time she was bothered by little, but since this wasn't even humanoid she needed a second to adjust realizing it was likely a student or teacher like Mr.Felis was. By the time she caught up, Kaname was already there so she stood shortly behind the white haired girl, crouching down so she was level with the wolf. "Hello, I'm Lavender and she's Kaname." she hadn't exactly caught the other girls name before and couldn't remember encountering her. Did the wolf think much like pet dogs or was it's thought process more human? How was she suppose to socialize with this other creature, for once she was questioning how to act.

"How's it going?" Kaname casually asked the wolf. Suddenly a small winged humanoid floated down, hung upside-down, and greeted her. Kaname was surprised. She had never seen a real fairy before. Then again, she had also never encountered a talking wolf before. "Hi there. I'm Kaname." The Ghost/Human Hybrid greeted the small newcomer. She always thought that fairies were a little bit taller. They were always a bit taller in the books. Anyway, she regarded the fairy with interest until Lavender put in an appearance. Lavender's presence was always welcome.
"Hey Lavender." Kaname casually greeted the smaller girl. It seemed that she and Lavender had a lot of the same interests. They were in the same treasure-finding and Combat classes.

"It's a long road When you face the world alone No one reaches out a hand For you to hold" Rumiko's nerves were far from lowering as she feared to be treated with repulse like she was used to. She knew she had to change and start improving but it was easier to just say than actually do it. And after some time, the answer to her last question didn't come from the girl she asked to. It instead came from another that just arrived. Oh yea, there she was in a group of now in a group of four. And noticing the increasing amount of people coming her fear started to rise a bit more. She wanted to run and hide like she normally would do. 'Don't be fool Rumiko.' she thought as with a clear fear, looks at the ones reunited around her. For then pointing it toward the one who introduced herself as Lavender and the white.haired girl as Kaname. Unsure about what to say she nods and takes a deep breath as the last attempt to calm down. "I am...my name is Rumiko..." She said with her kinda poor speech. "Are you humans?" She needed to ask because they seemed like one but she wanted to make sure to don't mistake them. What if they get angry? She didn't want that. "Sorry for asking..." She said in a low voice. "Speech"

Cirzirue slowly turned from her upside-down position to a more straight-up position when another person had popped up behind the white-haired girl. "Hello, hello," she nodded her head in greeting while also lowering herself until she nearly reached the ground. Her smaller size would actually put her a bit more on the same level as the wolf and the crouching girl like this. It just seemed better for communicating? The fae wasn't entirely certain how to put it. The wolf was also speaking, not like a wolf normally would, but actual language. It felt really odd seeing animals do that. Possibly why she didn't feel like going to Mr. Felis' classes.
"I am Cirzirue Din'thal," she introduced herself while her wings had stopped reacting and she was now literally levitating in her position. Hearing the wolf, Rumiko, speak, the fairy thought for a moment. She figured the question was raised to the two other girls, considering she, herself, didn't exactly look human. Still, she felt like responding anyway: "I'm one of the fae, a fairy. I'm part of the Unseelie, I suppose you could refer to myself as a 'Dark Fairy' as is most commonly known," she explained, thinking about how the current status was between the Seelie and the Unseelie Courts. There was a lot of hostility there, but in all honesty, Cirzirue didn't care too much for it. Even though she was far more in agreement with Queen Novus of the Unseelie, she didn't want to throw those opinions around here and cause conflict with other fairies in the school. Though, she could see the Seelie still having issues with her being there.

What was she? That was something she had actually never questioned even a single time in spite of the fact she very well knew her family was mixed, there was no reason in the girls mind for her to doubt her status as human. Any other species like her halfling sisters? Had specialized traits that came out young or differed in appearance enough to be told apart, so why would she have ever questioned it. A single pendant that never came off was not enough to cause the happy girl to question things she should have. "Yeah, I'm human though my sister's are half aliens." the teenager would rather address that before it became somewhat questionable later, anyone could imply they shared only one parent but that didn't change anything. Little did Lavender know that there was something that would change everything, a lie from her mouth with the truth contained around her neck within ornate jewels and specialized metal shaped like an eclipsed full moon. "I can understand having to ask, with shapeshifting sometimes you can't always tell if someone is human." though you could almost always tell when they weren't. Almost.

"That's a fair question." Kaname admitted to the wolf. She was still human, but she had acquired many traits of the ghost. She was not fully one or the other. She was trapped in the middle, a hybrid of Ghost and Human. The girl had come to terms with what she had become, so
"I'm human. Well, technically I'm human. I'm part Ghost too." Kaname explained to the wolf, whose name was Rumiko.
The girl was about to demonstrate one of her abilities when she hesitated for a moment. Should she show her abilities to others? Would school rules allow her to do so without penalty? Finally and most importantly, did she just make herself a target to people and species who had a prejudice against Ghosts?

Rumiko's fear was finally starting to decrease as her trust in these people was stronger. None of them seemed to dislike her presence as she was used to. There was none disgust expression in them. Could she trust her thin trust in them? Will they turn their backs at her? Will they abandon her? Those questions hunted the wolf's mind. A mind that usually was filled with nightmares and terrifying images. Images that came from her dark years at that freak show. Where she experimented emotional and physical abuse. She wanted to forget it, but it wasn't something easy for her. Maybe only time would tell.
Returning to the present, the Fairy introduced herself as Cirzirue. She would make sure to remember their names. Why? Well, she felt a little hope of finally talking to people that could be potential friends. Her very first friend. And she couldn't help but smile a bit imagining that. An ugly girl like her having friends. She still had her doubts but the girl did not find anything wrong with trying, trying to open up a little to others. And she paid attention to what species they belonged to. And there was when a big subject formed in the lupine's head. ' Should I say mine? But what if they laugh? Or what if they won't listen?' She was thinking as tries to collect enough value to say it. "That's cool...You guys are from such nice species..." She said smiling shyly. "I was born a wolf but...I can take human form..." She briefly explained to them. "My species name is simple...Magic wolf..." She said in a low voice.

Listening on the others introducing their species, it seemed rather... interesting to Cirzirue. The entire topic itself was an odd thing to behold, did people talk about their species this often? Also the part where one was part ghost had the fairy pondering in what manner Kaname had ghost traits. Still, she supposed one didn't want to reveal too much on that end. It was on Cirzirue's lips, but as the magic wolf explained on her species, her thoughts quickly went over both Rumiko and Kaname's races. Being told that they were from 'such nice species' was... odd? The fairies did have a lot of history and even to this day the species itself were split in two factions. Honestly, she had been wondering if this would ever be held against her. Especially considering that the Seelie had more a spot on the government and the Unseelie did not. The two Courts clashed on a lot of things.
Mentally Cirzirue noted the names of the three. Rumiko the magic wolf, Kaname the part ghost human, and Lavender the human with part alien sisters. The fairy wondered what parent they shared, since she doubted it was both parents, right? "I've... never seen one of the alien race," she said curiously, "living in the forests for most of my life, I am less familiar with many of the species outside the woodlands, but otherworldly species? Do they exist a lot here in Mistere?" It felt so strange how there had been speculation on life from other worlds since ancient times. It always seemed the most foreign thing to her when it came to other species in general.

She supposed the alien race was actually rather rare expect for situations like her siblings, considering they were from a completely different planet and she had never even seen the alien who fathered the two. "Shockingly even with them being part alien, I've never seen a full alien either, their father never showed around the family from what I understand he just got our mother knocked up and left." she did not know the most about it, Kaiden knew more but even than it was not something they talked about often. Between the affair even if it had been gotten over and mother's later death? It was difficult on father making him absent even though he still lived, leaving Kaiden to raise the three of them. "I was only a few months old when they were conceived and not even two when they were born so I only remember the little I've heard about how it happened." but, she never once thought of it was anything weird, no matter what those two were her sisters. "We could have been mistaken for triplets if their hair wasn't white, I swear it's like snow, but I don't think aliens are common my sisters are the only things of aliens I've seen." and even than the two were only half, so they likely did not count in full, maybe they only counted as one alien since half of them was human. "To be brutally honest I don't even look into species too much myself even being from a mixed family, what someone is has never really mattered to me, just who they are." she was sure she had some friends she supposed human who weren't, but what did she care, it wasn't her business they treated her right, plus she had study and practice to devote time to.

"And here I was thinking that aliens were only the stuff of cheap tabloids. I thought aliens were little guys with large gray heads and black eyes. Sorry if that sounds rude, Lavender." Kaname said when Lavender confirmed the existence of aliens. She always thought that they were a joke, a fictional pop culture creation that many strange and unexplained happenings were attributed to. The hybrid had received confirmation from a relative of some that they did exist. She learned something new every day.
"I haven't seen any aliens, Cirzirue. I lived in boring, uneventful Mistere suburbia. It was quite a shock to my parents when they learned I was a Ghost/Human Hybrid." Kaname said to everyone. Her species was not quite as strong as full-fledged Ghosts, but it had more versatility. The hybrid's greatest strength was that members of the species could pass for normal unless they openly used their powers. In a society with segments of the populace that were ignorant of the supernatural, that asset was one whose value could not be underestimated.
She hesitated again. The mood was just beginning to pick up. Did she really want to drag it down with the truth of how she became one of her species?

Rumiko decided to stay in silence as they started to talk about something that until today knew about. She never heard about aliens and things like that, and she didn't want to interrupt with dumb questions about her doubts. It was wiser to stay in silence than talking about something she completely ignored.
But while they talked, the young wolf would lurk around as she wanted to see which place should she go. But after classes of course. Her nose moved as like any wolf she couldn't help but smell each thing that came to her nose. After a while looks back at them, still keeping her words to herself.
Then some memories came to her mind. Making her get lost in them. Her eyes stared at a certain point, unblinking as she swam through her thoughts.
