There was a house not too far from the Central Plaza. For most real estate agents it would be a fixer upper dream come true. Buy it cheap, sell it for hellaton of money. But this particular house came with history. A history of death, violence, and despair. And more recently it came with a history of disrepair.
In the past year alone the already peeling paint had started flaking off. The wood of the porch had become rotten enough that there was even a hole in it where someone had fallen through. There had always been rumors that it was haunted ever since that day years ago. Where it was said a daughter had killed her mother.
To say that was the end of the heartbreak of that household would be… Kind.
But it hadn’t been. Much had happened, much more than the world would ever know or want to know.
Now the house was empty, still baring the same furniture it had all those years ago when it was full of life. Only now it was tattered and in shambles.
With all the rumors of the house being haunted, you’d think people would stay away. But… You know students. Sometimes they’re all too eager to stick their noses where they don’t belong.

Alistair The Cat Grim Pure boredom. That was one of the main motivators for a lot of things Alistair did in his life these days. Even though there weren't many things he found to be genuinely entertaining anymore. Getting back at people or just messing with them at random was sometimes one of them, but their protests also made his ears bleed metaphorically. Clearly, there was no win-win scenario to be had for him, and really, there never has been anyway. That being said, the demon cat grim had chosen to wander by himself on this day, padding around in his small black cat form, weaving between people's legs to avoid being stepped on. They wouldn't notice him anyway, as having little presence was a part of what he now was after all. Where was he headed to though? At first, nowhere specific, but then he happened to catch sight of a place he had heard some rumors being passed around about recently. People were so weird. They got so easily scared of anything that was potentially a danger, and yet they went so far with maintaining stories about scary areas. It was both funny and made no sense at the same time.
No matter though. Dumb people was how others could get a little bit of entertainment in, right? Which was exactly what Alistair would make the decision to do, as he walked towards the so called haunted house. He'd bet it wasn't as bad as everyone was saying, and if it was? Maybe he'd be impressed for once, although haunting in a way that makes nobody come close seemed rather tasteless to him. If you really want some good terror, there needs to be an audience for it....

Akeldama had been peering out of the window, keeping an eye out for any one approaching the house through a tiny crack in the curtains. She was paritally concealed by them, meaning only her silhouette was visible to the outside world. For a house that was supposedly uninhabited, this was the type of thing that could oft spook even those walking up away. Or intrigue them to come closer.
As she saw a cat approach the house she mused whether it would be a regular cat or one with intelligence that she ought be wary of. The last thing she wanted to happen was word getting out that she was living here. Even worthless as it was, someone might come down on her head and start demanding rent. And she didn’t have that kind of money. She barely got enough as it was from stealing from various restaurant’s garbage at night… You would be amazed what people in a city threw away.
She kept an eye on the cat, ready to “mysteriously disappear” the moment he saw her, then looked away. Like a ghost. Boo.
