• Christmas Festives Overview

December has descended! This means Christmas is coming, while as characters may choose not to celebrate Christmas the city and academy does.
This is a reasonably small event and won't have major impact on the site plot, but it would be wonderful if people got involved and used this time to develop characters. There will be festives throughout December finishing with the good old New Years fireworks. So here's a brief overview of the agenda, if there are any questions don't be afraid to ask, feedback is also welcomed!

The cities officials are running the event, keep in mind that the city by itself has about three million people as well as all the travellers and visitors!

However all the good students were put into a lottery and were randomly chosen. Only a few were chosen however those that were range from young acolytes to those in their last years of college. If they accept these students were tasked with helping out around the city events, which may include running a stall in the festives, entertaining in the mall, helping lost tourists and other small tasks which keep everything vibrant. The academy is very large, so the 'few' students that were chosen can be any member who wishes. If you have a student who has not been good enough to get put into the lottery by normal means they could have bribed or coerced the npc paper pusher who did the lottery.

There is a tradition which characters may or may not choose to follow!
Traditionally the day of Christmas eve is spent celebrating in the busy festivals and event around the city. You give presents and gifts to people that you are close to or love late Christmas eve night just as it turns into Christmas morning, families with children may do this earlier due to the presence of an oddity known as 'santa' who is of unknown species or origin but is rumoured amongst young ones to leave presents at the foot of your bed or fill up stockings over fireplaces if you've been good, yet as many may be surprised to know that santa is in fact not real. There are mentions of a red creature giving out basic supplies to children in poverty which is where the idea sprouted from. However in current day it is parents which leave the presents. The day of Christmas is spent with close friends and family, although this is most common it is by no means compulsory.

• South Park hosts a large celebration, complete with a market and carnival, this will be throughout December. (link)
• An in-character secret santa, open to all citizens, travellers and students. Signups will open on the 10th and close on the 17th! (link)
• New years celebrations, an interactive fireworks display like never before. Thread goes up on the 27th!
