Name of Talent: Dark Chi Manipulation
Concept: Roots of this Talent are the very same ones Beatrix Valentine uses for Ether Manipulation (Chi Manipulation). Unlike Beatrix, Marshal does not use pure Chi (/Ether, call it however you want) from the world itself, but taints it and makes it his own for longer and dangerous uses. Once he takes pure Chi he converts it into Dark Chi- tainted version. This version, unlike Beatrix's, serves no other purpose but to hurt those who come in contact with it. Instead of enhancing weapons like Beatrix, Marshal can manipulate Dark Chi to form into weapons that he finds appropriate. Some of his favorite ones are dual longswords, a greatsword or a spear. When creature other than him comes in contact with this Dark Chi their body detests it and wants to back away out of reaction- skin starts to burn as if it came in contact with fire, but the feeling is not similar to one of being burned; it is like some creepy force itself has crawled under your skin and keeps moving inside there. Longer contacts with this are highly hazardous and it is recommended to avoid them at all costs or person in contact with it may become tainted.
What does 'tainted' mean for a person? If person who is unable to control Dark Chi or resist it affected by an amount of Dark Chi they cannot handle (Resilience determines how much they can handle so humans can survive longer) their bodies begin to deteriorate, their health drops down and they just feel sick and unmotivated to the point they do not even get out of bed, eat or do anything- until effects are removed it may be too late for the person. So, it is like a poison of a sort, but on a higher level. This twisted Chi is a taboo among those who manipulate Chi or just generally work with it; people like Beatrix are mortal enemies to those like Marshal just based on this power.
Extra(s): Eyes begin to release red glow- eyes are not clearly visible from all the red. His body begins to create clouds of blackness- weapon of his choice also generates it.
Positive Mechanics: 1. Highly effective against creatures with low Resilience.
2. Hazardous; enemies are not very optimistic into charging against you knowing they might just fall ill and die.
3. High damage output
4. Easy to manipulate and pull combos off
5. Dark Chi immediately taints any pure Chi attacks (e.g. if Beatrix wanted to slash him with a Chi-enhanced sword he could just taint the Chi in completely eliminating buffs Beatrix had)
6. Weapons are mentioned as examples; Dark Chi is like a flexible matter so it can be used as blast-type weapon, spear, sword or whatever comes to your mind. Similar like Beatrix.
7. Damage done by Dark Chi reduces healing received by the victim by 50%
Negative Mechanics: 1. One must eat about 10 times more during the day just to keep their normal body weight (this Talent drains the body of the user even when inactive)
2. While in use and 5 minutes after use, user may not be healed by any means.
3. Any living being (including flora) begins to decay when just being close to Marshal for longer periods of time. For example, if he has a plant in his home it will die after a day or two.
