Name of Talent: Tír na nÓg
Concept: Tír na nÓg, The Land of Youth, is a the Otherworld/Afterlife in Irish mythology known for granting its inhabitant everlasting youth, beauty, health, and abundance. Following this ideal this ability works by anyone who gets caught inside the user's fairy dust to sleep and than manipulates their dreams so they feel as if they are living in what they believe to be the perfect world.
Extra(s): While this ability is in affect the user's body will be surrounded by small flickering lights, as if the air around them was filled with glitter or maybe more accurately fairy dust.
Positive Mechanics:
Sleep Induction: Those who came in contact with the user's fairy dust will find themselves rapidly becoming drowsy until they can no longer resist the urge to fall asleep.
Ideal World: Once the victim is asleep the spell manipulates their sense of reality and their dreams to make it seem as if they are living in the idealized version of their world. Any desires they had will be accomplished in this dream world and any flaws they found with reality will be corrected. The dream world becomes the perfect trap because the victim themselves won't want to leave.
Dream Cloak: The fairy dust that causes this dream induced state in its victims is naturally produced and held around the user's body while this talent is active. This dust completely surrounds the user's body thus creating a thin by protective shield around them. While the dust won't protect against physical attack it will be the enemy to sleep if they get close enough to breath it in.
Pain Reduction: When put under this effect any pain the victim was feeling before falling asleep will be completely suppressed until they are woken up again. This power does not apply to any injuries they receive while they are asleep or after they wake up.
Sword of Morpheus: By gathering the fairy dust and condensing it into the shape of a long sword the user is temporarily able to create a weapon out of this ability. While this sword can't do any physical damage it will put anyone it cuts into a dream state as long as they weren't holding their breath. This sword is mostly used to stretch the fairy dust past the range it has when in cloak form.
Self Immunity: The user is completely immune to the sleep inducing power of their own fairy dust and thus won't be knocked unconscious when using this ability.
Negative Mechanics:
Hold Your Breath: Tír na nÓg can only affect those who breath in the fairy dust produced around the user's body. As long as one stays away from the dust or holds their breath while in contact with it they will be completely unaffected by this talent.
Snap Out of It: While this ability puts it victims to sleep the spell isn't particular strong and can be undo without much effort. Loud sudden noises, pain, and being shaken awake are all ways that one can be taken out of their fairy dust induced trance. While outside stimuli can easily break someone out of this trance the victim can also break free by rejecting the reality presented by the dream.
