Name of Talent: Neo-Angelique
Concept: Amakusa’s unique conception into the world is bound to bring its own sets of baggage. His talent happens to be one of that intended baggage his creators planned for him to have. Or so hoped he would develop and by some strange twist in fate’s path. He did, just not in the way the scientist who engineered his creation hoped it would.
Neo-angelique as so aptly named takes Amakusa’s unique talent in imbuing certain elements into any weaponry in his hand. Be it a simple comb or something as mundane as a fork. He’s capable of altering an item’s composition to be able to easily handle an element of his choosing to either add to the user’s resistance or for offensive purposes share some traits of the chosen element. For example, if he imbues fire into a sword there’s a certain percent in which the weapon could potentially cause either a burn or outright burn the victim depending on the level of potency he infused into the item.
We have…five main elements.
Fire
Earth
Water
Air
Life
And numerous other sub elements within the table created from fusing one or two of the main elements. Think of it like playing with colours, you have your primary colours which when combined forms the sub colours. The same can be said for elements. Or example, take wind and water and you’ll get ice. Amakusa can do the same in a sense when he’s trying to produce elements outside of the big five but unlike the big five where the results often come out as the intended element. Mixing produces its own risk, the untrained the person is the more likely they are to…suffer unfortunate mishaps with the high risk of their attempt failing spectacularly causing experiment to backfire straight at the faces.
Now we go to the root cause of how it got it name in the first place. See the boy’s talent has two stages. One is the normal stage which he merely contracts an element temporarily into an object and then… there’s stage two. The trickier aspect of his ability he forcefully kept under a proverbial lock and key…. And perhaps sealed it as well for extra measure.
Neo Angelique second stage forces the boy’s own black phoenix wings to appear from his back. In either an ethereal or its physical form depending on how much access the boy taps into. It has… its own unique offerings it brings to the plate but at the same time it carries a predominantly high risk to the person using it.
The most common would be its regeneration capabilities. Amakusa is able to heal his own injuries at a much relative higher rate by sacrificing his own life force as a fuel. But what is life to a phoenix when?... they’re nearly immortal? The boy has legit reasons to avoid a rebirth. Thus… he does value his own life thank you very much. But not only can he heal his own, he’s also capable of extending the same courtesy to his allies which promptly makes him a good back up medic in the field. He’s able to heal from light to serious injuries. Fortunately for those he’s healing the life exchange doesn’t apply to them. Unfortunately for him though… he’s healing them using his own life.
There’s another…much more unstable aspect to its second stage. One Amakusa never dared to touch, frankly because he could never keep a stable mind whenever he gets anywhere near it. Thus… this portion remains untouched. Lock behind numerous locks alongside the second portion of his abilities.
Extra(s): Whenever his talent is active his eyes takes on a faint ethereal gleam in them, making his green eyes much more vivid. But once he enters the second stage, a faint outline of an ethereal wing will appear behind until his own phoenix wings takes over. There's a reason why he was known as the 'Angel of death' back in the war.
Positive Mechanics:
• He's capable of imbuing elemental properties into any objects.
• Healing properties
• Enhanced senses, mainly his sense of sight and hearing.
• Ability to fuse main elements to create sub elements.
Negative Mechanics:
• Uses his life force as a fuel to heal
• Can only enchant ONE element per weapon
• Temporary enchantments. His enchantments arent permanent and without him re casting his enchantment. The maximum shelf life it has is about a week at most.
• Extreme weakness, if he ever... EVER uses the second aspect of his abilities namely healing. It'll be the old take and give aspect involve. For him to 'heal' he would have to take over their wounds in a sense. Not only does it strain his body so. But the side effect, depending on its severity might forced the need to inject a certain medication into his body. Without it... the high chance the boy would be bed bound for at least a week in a coma state is high. Very high.
