welcome to Eldritch Academy
In a world of myths and mysteries, the pinnacle of the magical academies exists. Eldritch Academy offers education to all ages and species but specializes in the study and training of one's innate mystical capabilities, often called Eldritch Energies, Powers, or Unknowns, but more formally known as their Talent. However, tensions run high with the nations only holding a fragile peace as the Talents that rival the epitomes of technology change the balance of power.
With the more recent uprising of evil Shades and introduction of combat-oriented programs into Talent-focused schools, nations grow more aggressive towards one another. The demand for resources grows, and skirmishes at the border of Arka and Mistere become more frequent. Monsters run into the nations from the Wildes, terrorizing villages and cities. The need for trained or in-training Hunters and Guardians has never been more urgent.

Hopefully, the message had been clear enough. He hadn't put much time into it, but the fellows he asked and trusted to go with him shouldn't have needed much more info. They'd all marched into battle with less. 'Meet me at the edge of the Mistere wilderness. Come prepared. Finally found Fang.' See, Kiran had had a side project going for quite a number of years at this point. Talk of the past didn't happen often if he could help it, but in this case he'd make an exception. It was a miracle he asked for help at all, but this was Arka. Arka was unkind and on the bottom of the list for places he enjoyed being. Imagine his dismay when he finally received a break in his search for one of his best friends that had gone missing at the end of the ancient war and it pointed him to just that; Arka. He stood in the shad of a tree, waiting. His sword was strapped to his bare back, and he had worn his traditional fighting pants and shoes for the occasion. There was also a bag slung over him with some supplies, though he did travel light. An uncharacteristically somber expression tainted his features, giving away his age for once. Not that he looked ancient, but there was a certain look those who lived hundred of years got in their eyes sometimes. A tiredness, yet a tension that was hard to explain. The eyes of someone who had seen more lifetimes of good and bad than they probably preferred, yet hadn't grown totally numb. Nuada, he wasn't so sure about, but Leo and Ama would come. Yes, crossing the border illegally with less than peaceful intent was probably a bad idea, but so would bringing up prisoners of war in a time of such fragile peace. If they could get in and get out with minimal wave-making, it'd be faster and easier than causing an international incident. And if they did make waves? ...Well, that'd be a worse international incident, but at least Mistere could blame it some rogue phoenixes and disown them to save their butt. Kiran didn't care either way. Run in and let the chips fall where they may, deal with the fallout later.

I AM NOT A BAD MAN even though i do bad things VERY BAD THINGS such horrible things The faded glow of the moon hiding behind the darkened layers of the black curtain called the night sky. Amakusa’s glowing green orbs took on the sight. Fading just slightly as he slipped through the never ending shadows surrounding the unlit hallways of the silent dorm. Quiet was a good way to describe the seemingly endless stream of silence. Unearthly and to those aren’t used to its allure, eerie. But to Amakusa, the silence was but an old friend greeting him on one of his by monthly midnight ‘jaunts’. This time however. There’s a slight change in the air. A change in the pattern he’s grown so used to. The change wasn’t so notable to mess with his normal routine. But a minor change in how this ‘run’ was going to be for the professional mercenary. Killing has always been in his blood anyway, why change something he’s good at when it brings in the necessary resource? Sure it’s horrendous and downright messy affair. But see Amakusa is a man who firmly believes in the necessity being the mother of invention. In this case though, Amakusa was simply making a living for himself with his own hands. But enough if that, The boy had places to be this fine autumn night. A passing breeze blew by as the boy pushed through the doors. The windy chill of the autumn night cooled his lungs as it entered through his nose. Through his mouth his breath escaped in a visible mist as he soon vanished through the surrounding wounds. It wouldn’t take long before he soon found their meeting spot. The red headed teen stopped a top one of the branches. As silent as a slithering snake the nimble man watched the teen right below his perch. The clear dark of his hair nearly invisible in the dark night but not against the man’s keen gaze before like a ghost. He moved back to the shadows only… for a hand to tap against Kiran’s back. And following that hand was the casual tone of its owner. Mischievous as his the green eyes staring back at his fellow bird. Not that they knew, Amakusa kept his status as a phoenix held under lock and key for… numerous damn reasons. “Fine night to go for a walk eh?” He asked, dusting his nails over the black skin-tight turtle neck shirt he wore. « tag: Kiran // notes: im sexy and i kno it »

[attr="class","trying"] [attr="class","we1"] [attr="class","lost1"]Momma didn't raise no bitch~. [attr="class","rise"] [attr="class","dying1"] [attr="class","mouths1"]’Let’s go get this show on the road, then…’
A soft sigh parted from the lips of a given, seemingly young man; a signal of faint exasperation, as well as - uncharacteristically enough - what may have appeared to have been a touch of anxiety, as well as an attempt to comfort his soul, and soothe his jittering nerves altogether. While clad beneath the surface within the safety of fortified leather - which had been courtesy of several, unnamed contacts of his from the realms of the past - he outwardly took care to sport the style of a simpler, more comfortable, hooded sweatshirt atop his general armory, as well as a shorter sleeved piece of wear dwelling beneath; a modern look, to say the least, that had been adequately completed by naught more than a pair of jeans, as well as a pair of running shoes. In regards to lower wear, his presence had proved to be a casual one, save for the leathered sheathe that he wore upon his left thigh, as well as the sheathed sword that remained secured against his western flank; its hilt resting firmly against the waist, and duly awaiting the moments in which it would be inevitably sheathed before the naked eye.
Within any other scenario, he would’ve made his entrance within an abruptly obnoxious blaze of glory; screaming galore, and exceedingly extravagant hand gestures, among other things. However, this was different. He knew tact, surprisingly enough. He knew tact, and he knew seriousness.
...And thus, serious is what he had chosen to be.
Amber voids of his scanned the clearing within a calmly alert manner; feet beneath him shifting within an instinctive and rhythmic manner as he trekked the lands accordingly. The eastern extremity remained rested atop the hilt of his blade throughout the transport, while the western remained slipped within the sanctity of its own, corresponding pocket; making little movement until the sight of a duo of familiar figures crossed his line of sight from the distant bounds before him. Upon seeing them, he eyed them solemnly for a short while; inhaling deeply, yet softly to himself before sighing outwards.
A final means to steel himself for what was to come.
He lifted his hand in casual salute soon afterwards, complete with his common, signature grin. ”...You guys are lookin’ pretty fly, as usual~,” he gave in greeting; shifting the risen hand into the form of what could’ve only been assumed to be a gun before flicking his wrist within a subtle firing motion. ”Bringing out the A-game for this one, then, eeeeeh~?”

As the three phoenixes met beneath the shade of the forest's branches laughter suddenly roared through the woods. It was a strangely cheerful and intoxicated laughter that truly didn't seem to comprehend the seriousness of what was about to be discussed. At the same time there was no visible source of the laughter, it would almost seem as if it was coming from the trees themselves. However, if one looked closely enough at the area around them they would find the source. A small speck of a man, just a couple inches in height, was dancing through the air between the branches before suddenly coming to a stop on the limb of a tree that was hanging just above the group below him.
"Quite the group you've gathered here Kiran! Though I seem to be a bit of the odd man out since I haven't seen battle before. Well whatever! I'm happy to be invited!"
With that the speck of a man would drop from the branch above and fall to the ground never using his wings to slow down his descent. Yet as he fell a miraculous change would begin to occur throughout his body as it suddenly began to grow. Progressively getting bigger as he grew closer to the ground until he had reached a height just a bit below six feet as his bare feet touched the ground. A playful grin was spread across his face, as always, as he looked towards the two phoenixes he had never met before. While he could imagine that his companions probably would've preferred it if he had a more serious and somber tone it simply didn't work with Nuada's nature.
"The name's Nuada Tine. It's a pleasure to meet both of you"
With that the young phoenix would give a mostly serious but slightly overdramatic bow to his new companions before he turned to Kiran. Without any regard for personal space the silver armed fairy walked over to his drinking friend and gave him a quick hug before finally taking a slightly more serious tone.
"So you finally found that friend of yours?"

Ah, yes. The one who had never seen battle. There was a clear schism between the three veteran's countenances and Nuada's, but Kiran didn't fault the 'kid' by comparison. He may have been half phoenix, but he was much, much younger than Kiran, Leo, and Amakusa. In Kiran's mind this would be a good, grounding experience for the younger one. Dangerous, sure. Was it wise to take someone completely green into battle? Absolutely not. But the tattooed phoenix didn't think that far ahead. He saw an opportunity to take his new drinking mate under his wings and simply chose to do so. "Fairy-boy! Good you could make it. I was afraid you'd chicken out..." he jeered, grinning at his friend who had weathered graveyard cocktails with him. Peridot hues scanned the group he'd assembled. They weren't his dream team of old, but he trusted them nonetheless...and with any luck, they'd retrieve one of said dream team today.
The hug was met with a chuckle as it was returned, but he returned to being more serious as Nuada joined the general tone that had been there before. "Yeah, an old friend of mine finally heard some chatter about where some war prisoners are being held. An old employee let it slip that some Arka lighthouses are POW camps. Supposedly Fang is in the one built closest to here, since that area is nearest where he was taken," explained the seasoned warrior, face growing more tense by the second. He was excited to get one of his best friends back, but also afraid of what he'd ultimately find.
Stepped out into the moonlight, Kiran already began the journey. "You can ask questions on the way. We have no time to lose. Keep in mind there will be guards, and once at the lighthouse I have no way of knowing where the prisoners are, or how many. We can free as many as we can, but specifically we're looking for a red-headed phoenix. He's a little short, but he's fast and deadly, so make sure he knows you aren't there to hurt him if we get separated," added the phoenix, partially transforming to gain access to his wings. Traveling by air would be much quicker. "When we're a mile out we'll land and go in on foot..."

I AM NOT A BAD MAN even though i do bad things VERY BAD THINGS such horrible things Flying to a lighthouse?! To a former military man. That sounded far too suicidal for Amakusa’s taste, the former soldier in him formally CRINGED at the mere idea of flying near a LIGHT HOUSE of all places. A mile or not. There’s bound to be sky patrols, search lights searching around the skies for unfriendlies making uninvited visits behind their backs. He didn’t survive his childhood made and trained into a perfect soldier for nothing. Amakusa’s lips twitched into a frown after hearing his fellow veteran. (Sadly not from the same side) Talked about how he obtained his current information. A leakage, how typical, hardly surprised the red headed veteran. Men often loosen their lips once alcohol or women are involved. Either or both, normally a mixture of both were in the topic. “Flying near could show some risk… I’d say its better to split. Two can fly while the other two remained on ground and act as cleaner or ground crew. Would be easy if we come across any ehem… pesky search lights. Arka isn’t known for their paranoia for nothing. Their borders are damn tighter than Mr. Scrooge’s purse during Christmas.” Added the only red headed in the party. Plus the added protection of being inconspicuous but then again… that’s just the strategist in him talking. A well prepared tactician who knows both camps is bound to be an alive one once the battle starts. “Though might be too late but yo!” Amakusa greeted Nuada, offering the new arrival a lazy waved and grin as he moved at a relaxed pace out of the tree he was using as a leaning perch. “Names Amakusa, fairy right? Hope you enjoy wanting a bunch of birdies roast things. I think Kiran here is a closet pyro but don’t tell him I said that.” He joked.

[attr="class","trying"] [attr="class","we1"] [attr="class","lost1"]Momma didn't raise no bitch~. [attr="class","rise"] [attr="class","dying1"] [attr="class","mouths1"]It took a short amount of time following his own arrival for another, fourth face to enter the scene; a surprise to him within the beginning - given the particular form of entrance that he had chosen - and even more so after the boy seemingly admitted to his own, lack of experience with the utmost casualness. On instinct, the phoenix himself found his eyes widening ever so faintly; brows raising in accordance to the motion as he casted his sight upon the leader of their own, self proclaimed brigade for several moments, as if displaying a certain bout of inquiry that had - once more - been even a little bit more uncharacteristic and foreign of his common demeanor. ”...Bringing a green bird to the field, huh…?” he mulled over with a touch of both skepticism and curiosity alike, quirking his lip softly before bringing his gaze upon the newcomer, once more. ”Geez, man… Talk about risky, but a’ight, then~... We should still be fine, either way...”
With those words, he gave the hybrid another, smaller scaled salute; paired with a more comfortable grin of his. ”Weeeeeell, whatever~... Name’s Leon, dude,” he introduced himself next, giving an additional nod of acknowledgment and welcoming his way. The hand used to do so drifted back down into its pocket soon afterwards, and he tilted his head within a vague touch of amusement, despite the scenario at hand. ”Leon, Leo… Whatever floats your boat, honestly~. When we’re done, here, I can be anything you want me to be~,” he added with a quick firing of a fingergun his, as well as a subtle, jesting wink.
Following the holstering of that little gun of his - which, in essence, had really just been him resting his hand upon the hilt of his blade, once more - he fell silent and attentive while taking note of the others’ words and statements following the ending of their own, fleeting introductions; the sternness that had previously graced his expression returning yet again within due time. Amber hues found themselves lingering upon Kiran’s form throughout his partial transformation, and - although he took care to follow afterwards accordingly, by sole virtue of not being left behind - he refrained from harnessing his own wingspan; instead nodding solemnly and pensively following the other veteran’s words and suggestions. ”...Both are risky, though,” he began, narrowing his eyes upon instinct within a further degree of thought. ”Mile out or not, flying anyone out is risky as Hell, if not potential suicide, altogether- especially with a rookie tagging along, regardless of who he goes with. Like...no offense to Nuada, of course, but objectively speaking, we’re still only three solid units taking on an influx of baddies, despite having fairy boy with us for extra firepower. It’s already one thing to go into something that’s probably gonna make us horribly outnumbered, and putting us in plain sight of what could be numerous patrols at once from ground and sky alike could easily screw us over before the real event even begins.”
A sigh escaped his lips within a subtle degree of exasperation as he grew quiet in thought, though before long, he clicked his tongue gently. ”...In any case, though...flying might still be the best bet,” he spoke after some debate, finally taking care to manifest his wings while glancing over at both Nuada and Amakusa, alike. ”If we split, the ground group would still be fighting against time, and there’s no point if the flight group moves quicker, either way. It leaves more opportunity for us to get caught, go down, or whatever, since we’re outnumbered, either way. If we fly together, we’re at least immediately there to help the others if things get rough- and it should still be fine if we don’t go too high up.” ulla [newclass=.we1]background-image:url(https://i.imgur.com/Iu9IwSW.jpg?1);height:380px;width:400px;padding-top:120px;overflow:hidden;[/newclass][newclass=.avatar]background-color:#363636;width:50%;padding:10px;opacity:.9;transition:1s;border:#666 1px solid;padding-top:30px;padding-bottom:30px;transition-delay:2.5s;[/newclass][newclass=.lost1]font-size:12px;font-family:Alegreya Sans SC;color:#fff;letter-spacing:2px;padding:10px;background-color:#363636;opacity:.9;border:#666 1px solid;width:50%;transition:1s;margin-top:10px;margin-bottom:10px;transition-delay:2.5s;[/newclass][newclass=.trying:hover .lost1]opacity:0;transition:1s;[/newclass][newclass=.trying:hover .avatar]opacity:0;transition:1s;[/newclass][newclass=.rise]padding-top:25px;height:475px;width:400px;background-color:#272727;opacity:.8;margin-top:200px;transition:2s;transition-delay:1s;[/newclass][newclass=.trying:hover .rise]margin-top:-360px;transition:1.5s;transition-delay:1s;[/newclass][newclass=.dying1]width:80%;padding:10px;background-color:#1a1a1a;border:#444 1px solid;opacity:0;transition:1s;[/newclass][newclass=.mouths1]color:#eee;font-size:10px;text-align:justify;height:370px;overflow:auto;padding:5px;[/newclass][newclass=.lying1]width:80%;padding:3px;background-color:#1a1a1a;color:#777;font-size:10px;text-align:left;border:#444 1px solid;margin-top:10px;padding-left:10px;padding-right:10px;opacity:0;transition:1s;[/newclass][newclass=.trying:hover .dying1]opacity:1;transition:1s;transition-delay:2.5s;[/newclass][newclass=.trying:hover .lying1]opacity:1;transition:1s;transition-delay:2.5s;[/newclass][newclass=.trying ::-webkit-scrollbar]width:7px;[/newclass][newclass=.trying ::-webkit-scrollbar-track-piece]background:#444;border-left:3px solid #1a1a1a;border-right:3px solid #1a1a1a;[/newclass][newclass=.trying ::-webkit-scrollbar-thumb]background:#000;border:#444 1px solid;[/newclass][newclass=.dying1 b]color:#508ACC[/newclass][googlefont=Alegreya Sans SC]

Nuada listened as the veterans began to discuss their strategy for breaking in and it very quickly became evident that he was extremely outclassed. He had never seen a battle a day in his life after all. I mean he had been in an innumerable number of bar fights and as far as he could remember he had won every single one but this kind of thing was entirely different. If they lost here it didn't just mean waking up the next day with a massive headache. No, losing in this fight meant death or possibly even getting tortured. It definitely wasn't something the fairy would usual risk getting involved in but Kiran had asked him to help retrieve a friend. There was no way the silver armed man could've said no to a request like that.
"No offense taken. It's true that I don't have any battle experience after all. However, I do know one thing for certain and that is when it comes to breaking in I'm far less likely to get noticed than any of you are. It's far easier to spot a human sized bird after all than it is to notice a man who is three inches tall. Even if I do get spotted in the air they are likely just to pass me off as some kind of insect from a distance. So if you need me to scout ahead to locate guards I can do that"
The fairy couldn't really comment any further on any battle strategy since he didn't know anything about it. Yet despite the danger he was in and his complete lack of experience his mouth was still curled into a small grin. Adrenaline had already begun pumping through his bloodstream and he could feel the affects it was having throughout his body. It was the same feeling one got just as they sat down into the chair of a rollercoaster but this time the ride came with a risk of brutal and cruel death. It was as thrilling as it was terrifying, especially for the hybrid who had no idea if he had inherited his father's talent of rebirth.
If there was anything that help calm the young phoenixes heart it was the power of his talent. After all, as long as the guards numbers weren't to high all he would have to do was get close and it was game over. They'd pass out and have a dream of their perfect world while he would simply walk on by without any trouble. It was only when a large group came at him at once that the work became troublesome. After all after the first part of a large group passed out the second part was sure to wise up and the fairy didn't have any defense against ranged attacks.

Kiran was about half listening to the strategic chatter going on with the others as they moved forward. Don't fly together... fly together. Split up, don't split up. Leo, Ama, and Nuada discussed hypotheticals, while the boy with the fiery orange feathers looked ahead as far as he could. He had a plan already. Was it a good one? Who knew. His thoughts only touched on it for a second before he decided it was the best way to go. Back in the day, Kiran was known for his recklessness, something the veterans might have known going in. Nothing had changed in over three hundred years, and especially without Li there to hold him back and offer an alternative route, the phoenix was left to his own devices. And his devices were break everything first and think about it later....or never.
Regardless of running or flying, they managed to reach their destination in good time. Kiran landed and waited for the others, using his sharp bird eyesight to look on ahead. The outside looked painfully normal. That shouldn't be a surprise, since it was a secret that these lighthouses were housing ancient war prisoners. It would be suspicious if there were armed guards everywhere, after all. The structure loomed at the cliff's edge, its silhouette ominous in light of what he knew. The flash was faithful, providing ships at sea with the warning of approaching landmass. Kiran didn't really even see padlocks or big metal doors. It all looked so ordinary. Hopefully this intel was correct, though Kiran didn't even take more than a second to worry if it wasn't. If Fang was in there, he'd be saved soon enough.
"Alright. I know you guys have already guessed this, but I'm not a tactician. That was my other friend's job, so don't expect that from me. That said, I have a plan," the veteran announced, grinning deviously. "I'm gonna bust in there and raise hell. There aren't any guards or cameras on the outside I can see, which makes sense since this place needs to not be an obvious secret prison. The ones inside will think I'm alone, and that's when you guys can bust in however you want and help me clean up and rescue. Either way, no one gets left behind. We'll win, and have a blast doing it, right?" he asked, adrenaline having rushed to his brain already. It'd been so long since he'd seen any action that he was practically vibrating with excitement and anticipation of seeing a long lost friend. "We have a good team. Three capable war heroes and someone who can fairy dust people to sleep. Let's give this first time hero a taste of greatness...Unless someone sees something I don't. Last chance for alternate ideas."

[break] This was a very, very bad idea, wasn't it? [break][break] Yet here she was, trying to sneak quietly amongst the wilderness outside of the campus grounds. It was a long walk, but.. Thankfully for both herself and the unfortunate female who probably came along worrying her pretty head over, it wasn't too much of an issue for Evie over here. Well.. Thankfully for her, it didn't appear as though the group had.. Left yet? Hold up, Evie, what are you doing out here, anyways? Usually, she would have been hiding out in her dorm. Usually, she would be too scared to come out at night - let alone fall asleep in the comfort of her own bed - so why would she, of all people, wander out? The answer was simple:[break][break] She was worried. Worried about a certain little phoenix fairy that seemed to be more than intent on sneaking out at this time in the night. If anything, he thought that he was pretty sneaky. Pretty sly if she might add, but unfortunately - don't mean to burst your bubble - he wasn't exactly.. The best at covering up his tracks. Not in her opinion, at least. Perhaps is was her own height in general that helped her track something that would otherwise be so small? Who can tell? [break][break] Regardless.. She was here now. No turning back. [break][break] And she also seemed to have picked up another two along with her. A white haired female, and a.. Bat that perched upon her shoulder. "This is a terrible idea." The bat quietly squeaks into her ear, prompting the young blonde to narrow her eyes in a subtle sense of fear. "... I.. I know that this is.. BUt.. I can't help but to be worried.." Her voice is lowered into a soft grumble as she watches from behind a small shrub in the forest. What could they have been planning..? To come out at this time of the night..? She couldn't exactly hear them from where she was crouching, but.. Argh. I only she could get closer. If only she could hear more--[break][break] Snap.[break][break] Her foot moves, only an inch - but this was more than enough to get a branch to crack under her weight. Now.. It was quiet. Possibly loud enough for the group ahead of her to hear it but.. If they didn't, then perhaps the following will. "Eek!" The young woman squeals out, immediately jolting upwards while holding her arms close to her chest. Her heart nearly stopped with how sudden and abrupt the sound was, causing her to momentarily freeze up and... Forget.. That she was supposed to be sneaking.. [break][break] Now she was here, staring up at the group of boys who seemed to be planning out their next move. [break][break] ... Great. [attr="class","twobeenotes"]

I AM NOT A BAD MAN even though i do bad things VERY BAD THINGS such horrible things All three made good points but it was him and Leo that’s fully into talking ways to strategically go through with the whole mission with no man--- sorry birds left behind or worse. Turned into next week omelette breakfast special in the cafeteria. The boy sighed. Long and suffering as his breathed drifted cleanly into the chilling frost of the night air. Cold air swept over the birds. Brought on by the passing gust moving from their right. Blowing, and passing them while leaving the faint trails of the cold on their skins. Cold night. Perfect really, not to much for Arka… since with the wind blowing like this it meant one thing in the mind of the resident veterans. A storm’s approaching. From which end, depends directly on the wind. However, Amakusa didn’t have the luxury of time to mull over the recent development as his mates decided to move on without much of a sturdy plan within their heads. No stable plan… heading into unknown territory where not were given the time to do their homework in researching the area. Guard schedules, BLUEPRINTS… and even perhaps an actually lay out of the place before they could formulate a damn good plan. Any tactician within their right minds would have cringed. Amakusa… as much of a daredevil he is. Actually became a mere number with those fellow tacticians of old cringing at the blatant lack of preparations. This my friends is a recipe for known disaster. But did the only professional here make a move to correct his mates? Damn no he didn’t. Another flowed in tandem to the sharp crack of his hand face palming on his forehead once the three birds went airborne. He might as well follow, three large bloody birds… do they even know the meaning of stealth!? No Ama, apparently they didn’t. “Silly kids…” Mumbled the black clothed assassin before he bended his knees. As though preparing to sprint as the muscles of his legs tensed before leaping into the air and in mid jump his form changed from that of a man into a small black feathered creature. A phoenix yet sharing the size a hawk in width and height. A mission such as this demands the utmost level of stealth. Annndddd being covert with their surroundings of those bird brains wanted to go gung-ho then they could have taken Nuada’s advice in being inconspicuous. And off he went, following his fellow roasted turkeys. Until just as Kiran said they reached a mile from their target. A seemingly ordinary looking lighthouse overlooking a large cliffside. The seas below raged with the winds as the waves hit against solid rock. So far so good, from the looks of it there weren’t any one around. But… one can never be too careful when it comes to Arka. “Well I did subtly offer a few tactical ideas.” Amakusa subtly pointed out before… the snap of a branch turned him from mister casual to. Mr. deadly soldier in less than two seconds as he already pulled out a pistol from its holster. A tentative click of the safety going off as he cocked it. Ready and loaded… Ready and loaded indeed in the eyes of the white haired child. Those purple orbs grew wide at the sound. She knew that sound anyway, if… it wasn’t for that branch…! “Evie…!” She hissed back towards the demurred female before quietly yanking her back within the tall foliage they were hiding in. Damn boys damn them idiots! She wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t… no actually scratch that. DAMN HER OWN WORRIED SOUL! “This…really isn’t a good idea…” She echoed the bat’s sentiments as silently as she could whispering back while inching away from the open spot where either of the men could spot them. She still held onto Evie, praying the men would chuck it off as an animal just passing by. She really hoped…they didn’t see her clumsy friend. “….” Amakusa blink. That…was a girl right? “Guys?.... Was it just me or you also so that?” He dryly asked.

Unlike the other phoenixes Nuada didn't transform into his bird form when they entered into the air. Using the large, blue dragonfly wings on his back he took off into the air after them. Unfortunately for the fairy boy the air tonight was cold and a sleeveless skin tight shirt was definitely not giving his body any insulation. One almost had to wonder why he had chosen to wear such an outfit in the first place considering that it was winter. If there was any benefit to the cold it was simply the fact that it had helped calm down the young phoenix. After all he was charging into battle with no experience and with a group that had never made a real plan on what they were going to do.
The fairy admired the lighthouse as it finally came into view. This was their destination, the place where Kiran's old friend was supposedly being held. It was almost strange to think about. The lighthouse look completely ordinary sitting by the coast on its own. As far as Nuada could tell from where he was flying now there wasn't anything out of the ordinary about it. He didn't even see any guards in sight that could possibly be guarding the imprisoned phoenixes. It simply didn't seem to make any sense. All the phoenixes the silver armed man had met so far were rowdy, a bit impulsive, and incredibly strong willed. Sure, he couldn't just assume that all phoenixes were like that but there had to be at least a few in a POW camp right? How could they contained trained warriors like that without having any visible guards around the tower?
It all just didn't seem to make any sense but he was new to war so he simply followed the phoenixes in front of them as they descended to the forest below. They were veterans, this wasn't their first time charging into battle so he should be able to rely on them for what to do. Atleast he felt he could trust them until they got down and heard what Kiran's plan was. Charging in alone into a guarded lighthouse meant to hold phoenixes was definitely not the plan he was expecting when he came here. A stealth mission seemed to make far more sense in this situation. A simple break in and get out taking as many prisoners as they could with them, starting with Fang.
"Ummm, Kiran? I may be because I haven't been in battle before but wouldn't a stealth mission make far more sense in this situation? I mean you don't even know how many guards are going to be in there or where the prisoners are even being kept inside."
Before Nuada could continue any further with his questioning of the current plan his ears perked up at the sound of a branch breaking nearby. Adrenaline rapidly began pumping through his system as his heart rate rapidly spiked. His muscled tensed as he prepared to jump into battle until he heard the voice that cried out. There was no way. It couldn't be her. Why would she even be here?! With a deep sigh the fairy finally asked the question he sort of wished he wasn't going to receive the answer to.
"Evie.... is that you?

Barely containing an eye roll at the repeated suggestion of much-overrated stealth, Kiran took in their statements, though his mind was fairly made-up despite his open request for alternative. Really, he'd meant it as a rhetorical, but others usually appreciated at least a modicum of propriety. His eyes had left them, though. They were pointedly aimed at the lighthouse in the distance. The sea framed it in such a false- peace...he was eager to disrupt such lies. The roar of the waves drowned out the others' speech, adding a frantic static to the violence of his thoughts. It was as if the windy stead the coming storm rode was merely foretelling Kiran's inner thoughts and feelings that he buried deep beneath all the bravado. He was distraught. He was pissed. He felt...guilty for taking so long to find someone that remained so close by. Fang had suffered for over three hundred years within an hour's flying distance, and yet Kiran didn't even grasp the depth of the torment his buddy was enduring even now. The phoenix would right this, right here, right now. He could feel phoenixes within the flashing tower, reassuring him he was in the right place. Maybe he should just go ahead with the surprise attack now before these ninja chickens could convince him otherwise--
*snap*
Despite being deep down the dark rabbit hole of murderous intent and mental images of how the situation would go, such a small noise snapped him out and sent him whirling on the sound. Like Ama, he anticipated threat before realizing the truth. They were lucky he hadn't set the fires of the sun god on them, these dumb girls! And while he didn't know one of them, that albino face that rushed to try and get out of sight was all to familiar. On something this dangerous for species that actually could die, a white haired noodle had snuck along. She couldn't even endure his workouts, but here she was following war-birds into enemy territory. Kiran could almost feel the aneurysm coming on. "WHAT ARE YOU TWO DOING HERE? You're so loud! Go home!" screed the bird boy, irritated, and making way more noise than those two could at this point.
A spotlight. Up near the top of the tower, in a window below the flashing light, a separate light clicked on. It ran along the rocky cliff toward the tree line they stood in. He had to act now. Draw the attention. "Thanks, girls," he grumbled, though he was totally the one at fault. In his next step he was against airborne, flying right into the light and screeing the loudest scree possibly ever screed. The sound waves of it pulsed ahead of him, smashing into the tower and shattering the window glass along with the spot light itself. It flickered out and plunged the beacon of safety into darkness. That should have all of their attention, right? With a small adjustment of his feathers he was rocketing high into the air over the lighthouse, igniting into a showy blaze of sunfire glory. He hovered only a moment to let all below bask in his fire bird glory and to get one shrieking battle cry out. “YIPPY KI-YAY, ARKA MOFOS!” squawked the majestic beast before angling down, tucking his wings, and dive-bombing the place through one of the broken windows to wreak havoc within with sword, fire, and light seeming to emit from the sun itself. Who needed daylight? Screams echoed from within as he went on his warriors rampage.

[attr="class","trying"] [attr="class","we1"] [attr="class","lost1"]Momma didn't raise no bitch~. [attr="class","rise"] [attr="class","dying1"] [attr="class","mouths1"]The flight had been somewhat short and uneventful, to say the least; something that surprised Leo, though not particularly in a bad way at all. While he seemingly had a copious amount to mention and state prior to the flight, the airborne trip altogether seemed to be rather silent on his end; his ears keen to take the others’ remarks into account all throughout the venture, though not quite taking care to directly respond in much of a manner. By then, his own focus had been upon his surroundings- namely the grounds beneath them as they soared across and above the lands altogether. Amber voids of his merely scanned the varied forms below in accordance of their path; taking care to submerge himself within somewhat of a recon-esque role, even if it was to slightly make up for the lack of tact within their plan, thus far.
When they touched back down, he remained silent for several more moments; a soft, gentle sigh escaping his lips as he took in the general vicinity of their newfound surroundings in order to peer around. ...Woodland. Still woodland. Nothing more, nothing less, by the looks of it. They had managed to evade prying eyes and scouting units thus far- something that he was thankful for. For sake of remaining vigilant, however, he fluttered his wings gently while keeping a tentative and focused hand upon the hilt of his blade. After all, ambushes were often unforgiving- especially within events such as the given.
...Which had been exactly why he was so quick to trigger upon hearing a snap - however distant - it may have been not too far from their location.
Much like Amakusa had pointed his gun, Leon himself swiftly grasped the hilt of his blade before unsheathing it with a clear, smooth stroke; facing within the direction that the sound haad come from prior to finding himself gazing upon what seemed to be several figures, whisking themselves away in an attempted means of fleeing and hiding. ”Whatever it was, it was definitely…something...” he murmured lowly, narrowing his eyes. Before he could give another response, however - particularly towards Nuada’s inquiry towards the supposed figures - he found himself cringing slightly upon hearing whatever unholy squawk that their glorious group leader had to give within his own means of lashing. He clicked his tongue while quirking his lip. ”Dude, you’re gonna get us cau--”
Spotlights. His eyes shifted immediately towards them as they began scaling towards the area; nearing their own location by the second, and - again - before he could appropriately respond, he found his own eyes widening upon seeing his phoenix companion burst off within a blaze of glory. Due to the sheer abruptness of the turn of events at hand, he found himself staring in complete, unbridled dumbfoundedness as Kiran took flight away from the group; only snapping himself from the daze altogether with a louder, secondary click of the tongue as he swiftly sheathed his sword once more.
’Fan-frickin’-tastic…’ He cast a glance towards Nuada and Amakusa - as well as a shorter one that had been more akin to a glare towards the final newcomers afar - before flapping his wings to hover above the ground for a moment or two. ”...So much for stealth, then,” he murmured with a touch of uncharacteristic distaste, quickly lifting himself higher and higher by the second before veering off towards the same place in which the other bird had oh so graciously made his own, grand entrance. ulla [newclass=.we1]background-image:url(https://i.imgur.com/Iu9IwSW.jpg?1);height:380px;width:400px;padding-top:120px;overflow:hidden;[/newclass][newclass=.avatar]background-color:#363636;width:50%;padding:10px;opacity:.9;transition:1s;border:#666 1px solid;padding-top:30px;padding-bottom:30px;transition-delay:2.5s;[/newclass][newclass=.lost1]font-size:12px;font-family:Alegreya Sans SC;color:#fff;letter-spacing:2px;padding:10px;background-color:#363636;opacity:.9;border:#666 1px solid;width:50%;transition:1s;margin-top:10px;margin-bottom:10px;transition-delay:2.5s;[/newclass][newclass=.trying:hover .lost1]opacity:0;transition:1s;[/newclass][newclass=.trying:hover .avatar]opacity:0;transition:1s;[/newclass][newclass=.rise]padding-top:25px;height:475px;width:400px;background-color:#272727;opacity:.8;margin-top:200px;transition:2s;transition-delay:1s;[/newclass][newclass=.trying:hover .rise]margin-top:-360px;transition:1.5s;transition-delay:1s;[/newclass][newclass=.dying1]width:80%;padding:10px;background-color:#1a1a1a;border:#444 1px solid;opacity:0;transition:1s;[/newclass][newclass=.mouths1]color:#eee;font-size:10px;text-align:justify;height:370px;overflow:auto;padding:5px;[/newclass][newclass=.lying1]width:80%;padding:3px;background-color:#1a1a1a;color:#777;font-size:10px;text-align:left;border:#444 1px solid;margin-top:10px;padding-left:10px;padding-right:10px;opacity:0;transition:1s;[/newclass][newclass=.trying:hover .dying1]opacity:1;transition:1s;transition-delay:2.5s;[/newclass][newclass=.trying:hover .lying1]opacity:1;transition:1s;transition-delay:2.5s;[/newclass][newclass=.trying ::-webkit-scrollbar]width:7px;[/newclass][newclass=.trying ::-webkit-scrollbar-track-piece]background:#444;border-left:3px solid #1a1a1a;border-right:3px solid #1a1a1a;[/newclass][newclass=.trying ::-webkit-scrollbar-thumb]background:#000;border:#444 1px solid;[/newclass][newclass=.dying1 b]color:#508ACC[/newclass][googlefont=Alegreya Sans SC]

I AM NOT A BAD MAN even though i do bad things VERY BAD THINGS such horrible things There were reasons; REASONS. Why Amakusa choose to go solo ‘bird’ on missions. Staring at the girls, and then the utmost stupidity their impromptu leader just did. Not only dumbstruck the ‘older’ boy but internally gave him several reminders alongside the sudden urge to SCREECH at the idiots in his party. What… where?! Did they not understand the terms of a sneak mission?? The boy resisted his urge to smack his face with his palm. A groan of distaste slipped by his lips before he once more tossed a mild irritated glance at their unexpected stranglers. “I hate to agree with the suicidal bird brain… but c’mon girls you’re already busted now come out--- actually better yet find someplace to hide. This is no place for newbs…” He sternly stated. A foot already itching to race after the two birdies before they get themselves killed. Or worse added to Arka’s birdie collection. But strangely enough, Amakusa wasn’t doing it out of the goodness of his own ‘heart’ when in reality he was merely trying to lessen the impromptu headaches he would have to deal with should the boyos be captured. And then… the subtle glance followed over to the place where the girls were. Headache number two… “But why?...” A second voice reluctantly piped up. Soft as the touch of the passing breeze every now and then passed over them. “Why in all things saintly are you people even planning on sneaking into Arka line…” The voice, belonged to none other than the only albino in the girl ‘group’ that straggled along them. Those purples were meet with the near neutrality of Ama’s gaze. “There’s certain reasons kitten but now is no time.” He frowned, he wasted enough time as it is. “Hey Nuada, were kinda in a pickle now. Normally I’d ask you to go help these chicks to hide but were a bit pressed with time…. Were going to do some fun knock outs. Just think of it as the old whack a mole thing… I’ll uhhh deal with the nasty part later on.” Yeah… he wouldn’t ask a green to do the nasty part. By nasty… oh he meant only one thing. Evidence cleaning, body piling, ending witnesses as quietly as any veteran in his field of secrecy would. Without any more chitchats, the boy fled into the fray, letting Kiran’s do his thing with being a distraction while he effortless stuck to the shadows and snuck in like a ghost who merely found a new haunting place. ----- “The hell is happening!?” Snarled one of the keepers. A burly man from the looks of it. Salt peppered hair showed his age as someone passing his prime, but his body remained as bulky with the muscles he gained in his youth and still maintained through out his age. “Sir!!” One of his younger assistants game bellowing in. Rushing with the mixture of fear and slight burn marks on his arms. “Ground floor is being attacked,---” “I can see that you green.” Hissed their boss. Those sharp grey eyes from the dark skinned muscle man nearly dug a nice neat whole in his subordinates spine as the shaky man tried to keep his cool. “But sir… Me and Reges are getting overwhelmed…” He stammered causing another set of curses to slip from the man’s lips. This… THIS is why he’s been complaining about the lack of a squad here. He’s been complaining for YEARS. But did those asshats back at the council cared? Apparently not enough… “Go send for reinforcements..” He snarled. “As if that would do any good…” The unhappy man snarked at the end before picking up his giant war hammer. Ahhh his beloved. He purred, stroking the gentle gleam of its metal handle before rushing out to defend. And defend he did, once he reached the bottom floor and got a good look at the bastard causing the mess. “Well what do we have here?.... Another damn chicken to add to the big lightbulb up there.” He spat before charging straight for the war bird. Hammer already at the ready.
