In a world of myths and mysteries, the pinnacle of the magical academies exists. Eldritch Academy offers education to all ages and species but specializes in the study and training of one's innate mystical capabilities, often called Eldritch Energies, Powers, or Unknowns, but more formally known as their Talent. However, tensions run high with the nations only holding a fragile peace as the Talents that rival the epitomes of technology change the balance of power.

The Story Thus Far...

With the more recent uprising of evil Shades and introduction of combat-oriented programs into Talent-focused schools, nations grow more aggressive towards one another. The demand for resources grows, and skirmishes at the border of Arka and Mistere become more frequent. Monsters run into the nations from the Wildes, terrorizing villages and cities. The need for trained or in-training Hunters and Guardians has never been more urgent.

Blessing of the Sun Phoenix Iris

Name of Talent: Blessing of the Sun

Concept:
The average Phoenix has a natural predilection toward fire, being a species that is reborn from flames. This is something beyond that. Since his soul is quite old and retains much experience, he has earned the Sun's favor, bestowing on him the Phoenix abilities of old, very much like the first Phoenix himself said to be born from the Sun. In addition to fire, he gains the element of light, combining it into something based close to his heart; the Sun. True ancient phoenix power is at his command, wild and destructive.

Kiran uses this power purely offensively, as is his style. The Sun's blessing is on his vocal chords, making his mighty screeches a damaging force. It blesses his body to command fire and light as he sees fit, as great walls or pinpoint aimed streams, as beams and as projectiles. His talons grow sharp and unbreakable as onyx diamonds and can be hot as coals. His feathers can become one with flame and light, blinding and burning.

Extra(s):
When using his talent, whether full human or full phoenix or somewhere in between, his entire body glows and gives off heat. His hair and/or feathers become more weightless and majestic.

Positive Mechanics:
• Advantage over ice-based talents
• Keeps him warm no matter the environment
• Lights dark places as if he's a torch
• Can fire concentrated beams of fire or light from his mouth
• Melee moves are enhanced with fire extending his range and burning enemies
• Can screech sonic soundwaves loud enough to cause damage and temporarily deafen or disorient
• Talons are razor sharp, unbreakable, and sometimes searing like coals
• His feathers can be used as fire and light elemental projectiles
• General physical control of tangible fire and light to be used in a variety of ways originating from his body.

Negative Mechanics:
• Weak against water-based talents
• Fire can get out of hand depending on the environment, and could hurt allies.
• Weakens under moonlight.
