♦ STUDENT INFORMATION ♦
Name: Alesia Valeria Juliana
Gender: Female
Age: Eighteen
Year in school: College Freshman
Dorm: Orchid
Height: 5'11"
Appearance:
Personality:
Honorable - Alesia conducts herself on a strict but unspoken principal of honor, adopted during her days back home and imposed upon her by her parents - and seen as a necessity due to what she is, what with the reputation of her kind. She's against employing what she considers to be underhanded tactics both in daily life and more strenuous & violent circumstances, believing it to be both beneath and unbecoming of her, but isn't entirely against doing so if the need arises, despite her loathing of it.
Prideful - The cardinal sin is the one that beckons most sweetly to Alesia; she's a very prideful girl, in that quiet sort of way, and is prone to rejecting outside assistance in any and all matters, no matter how benign or serious they may be. She's also of the intrinsic if subconscious opinion that griffonkind is largely superior to all others, helped none by their reputation as protectors. While she acknowledges the limits of her abilities at the present time, she's still confident enough on a basis of pride alone that she can overcome most adversity one way or another, and defeat or failure in anything at all becomes an almost personal affront to her.
Ambitious - She is intensely ambitious, striving perpetually to improve herself in whatever she does, but in developing her talents and martial skills in-particular. So great is her ambition that she seeks to one day claim all of Arka for herself as its sole ruler and authority. To this end, she's become an overly ambitious perfectionist, pouring her heart and soul into whatever it is she's doing at any given time.
Empathetic - While relatively solitary and detached in demeanor, Alesia has a great deal of empathy for others and is often willing to provide support where she can, in whatever meager way - even if she's unlikely to outright offer it.
Wrathful - She is a particularly wrathful person, reacting less than fantastically to disputes, and is prone to outbursts of violence when wronged in a way that she considers to be personal, or affronts to her pride. One would never know it given her typical disposition, but she possesses an overwhelming urge to physically punish those who provoke her in some fashion, often to extensive degrees, although she favors general humiliation as a superior method of going about it.
Calm - The majority of the time Alesia is fairly calm and relaxed, sometimes even to the point of being able to describe her as utterly serene, as if nothing in the world could remotely trouble her. This does not, however, mean she's emotionally unaffected by what's going on around her, even though it often seems that way; she's much more prone to bouts of calm anger than explosive wrath or petulant outbursts in-particular.
Awkward - Due to pouring so much focus and attention into her studies and training, Alesia's social development is somewhat stunted and off-kilter, and she has a difficult time actually engaging with others in any meaningful capacity. While she can certainly fake it to a passable degree, her ability to form connections and bring any sort of spotlight onto herself socially is inhibited somewhat, causing her to come off as somewhat eccentric and isolationist - which, in turn, further fuels her lack of desire to fix the issue, compounding upon itself.
Analytical - With a focus on practicality and pragmatic decision-making over aesthetic much of the time, and her rigorous training regime in martial affairs back home, her mindset has become very analytical, making observations and predictions based on the most logical outcomes of anything whilst still accounting for the unexpected. While she's not a computer and can only process what's going on so quickly, she's still quick to make a plan and a backup or two for any given situation in case things don't work out, and has a keen eye for small details.
Contemptuous - Despite her best efforts to keep herself in check, she finds that she often looks down on others, viewing the weak and infirm with a particular, deep-seated contempt, and holding a certain grudge against phoenixkind. The prime focuses of this deep-reaching content tend to be those who make a point of being virtuous simply for the sake of it, show-offs, impulsive individuals and those who wallow in self-pity or loathing & are unwilling to improve themselves. This holds more true in some instances than others, but the underlying sneer and contempt of the tone of her voice are ever-present to some degree.
Blunt - Alesia doesn't sugarcoat things; she calls them exactly as she sees them without much regard for anybody's feelings at any given time, holding much greater stock in fact and pragmatism than someone's emotional fulfillment. That isn't to say that she's insensitive, however, or completely lacking in tact, just that she's unwilling to beat around the bush and mince words trying to ensure everybody is happy at any given time.
Obsessive-Compulsive - To put it bluntly, she's incredibly OCD. While not immediately apparent, it's clear in her appearance that she keeps herself meticulously groomed most of the time, and she has a habit of subconsciously getting irritated and adjusting various aspects of her appearance or living space that don't seem quite "right" to her at any given time. Whilst more of a quirk than an outright personality trait, it's nonetheless worth mentioning.
History: Alesia was born and raised in Arka - her parents were two parts of a family of griffins who had been, at this point, living in Arka for several generations, having slipped in and started a family business of artificer-grade weapons manufacturing for appropriately exorbitant prices. While her mother handled the shop, forging and creating the weapons that served as both works of art and lethal tools, her father was making a name for himself through military service., attempting to cement enough influence for them to be classified as part of the Oligarchy-proper.
As a result, the young Alesia - showing an affinity for playful swordsmanship with her father during his spare time - was determined to be turned into a valuable asset to the family in a slightly different way than either of her parents. An extensive period of training by both tutors and her parents alike was immediately put into motion in an effort to instill her with discipline, life skills, and a strong sense of self-confidence in her own abilities, with the additional hope that somehow through this she might develop a talent like her grandmother had before her - so she could be enrolled in the MT academy and secure herself a "proper" future. It was strict and difficult, with little room for error, but she took to the challenge eagerly, stubborn little thing that she was.
Fortunately it didn't take long.
During a particularly rough and vigorous swordsmanship-training session using proper blades, the instructor miscalculated a technique he was attempting to impart on the young Alesia, and stumbled, sending the blade towards her heart faster than either of them could possible stop it, and in the ensuing split-second of terror the blade stopped in mid-air with its tip but an inch from her chest. Through nothing but sheer, stupid coincidence, Alesia had developed a talent - or at least awakened whatever latent talent that had already existed inside of her. The talent was designated as NITROGEN ARMOR, and after a night of celebration, her parents filed the paperwork to have her enrolled in the academy, and she was shipped off.
While her time within the academy was fairly uneventful overall, Alesia finished each successive year with nearly top marks, throwing herself totally into her studies and the progressive development of her talent, becoming increasingly absorbed and socially isolated as a result. In time she graduated the "high school" portion of things as the second-to-best in her class, but in her efforts to do so had left herself increasingly isolated and detached from her fellow cadets and with little love and great disillusionment for Arka as a whole, having gotten a glimpse into the inner workings of the system. It had also fostered within her an unhealthy ambition born of the kinds of people she was surrounded by and the glorification of the talented and military service through the academy.
As a legal adult, she took her artificer blade made for her by her mother as an acceptance gift for the academy, packed what little possessions she had and made way for Mistere's Eldritch Academy with the intention of honing her talent and skills to such a degree that she could one day return to Arka, establish herself within the Oligarchy and eventually claim the whole nation of Arka as her own.
After all, what title screamed "perfection" and "power" more than Empress?
♦ SPECIES INFORMATION ♦
Name of Species: Griffin
Baseline Dimension: In human form, they generally fall under normal human weight and height, although exceptions can happen depending on their specific Griffin origin. In Griffin form, they're generally somewhat larger than a normal lion, or any other feline species, if they happen to be different from the norm.
Baseline Appearance: They have a tendency to sport a hair color that reflects their coloring in their Griffin form, whether of the furred or feathered part of them, and may have wings or tails present. Some have unusual eye colors, but they can easily look like typical humans as well. In their Griffin forms, while the typical and most known combination is that of a lion and an eagle, there are known variations that include other larger felines, as well as a variety of bird, usually birds of prey. Their coloration tends to follow the coloring of the two animals they are a reflection of, although unusual patterns do manifest occasionally.
Culture/Origin of Species: Hailing mostly from the mountainous areas of Hisakawa, which not many races brave, these fearsome and noble creatures can often come off as a mysterious presence. Hailed as the 'king of all creatures' by some due to their common appearance resembling both that of lions and eagles, the animals being the most fierce symbols of their respective type; Griffins are usually seen as protectors of the good in the world and are, in many cases even sought as guardians or protectors. Not much is known about how these fearsome beasts came to be, but they can be seen depicted as symbols in older times, as well as mentioned in legends here and there, indicating that they are one of the older races that has steadily remained on the watch throughout most of history.
Traits:
• Predator's Vision - Naturally, birds of prey have better sight than most to aid them in hunting from distances even while in the air. Griffins retain that ability, making them adept at noticing details and locking onto opponents
• Wild Feline's Power - From their feline half, Griffins borrow a penchant for brute strength, which paired with their possession of sharp claws and beaks can become a deadly weapon. They gain +2 Aspect points in Strength
• Acrobatic Flight - Being half bird, Griffins naturally possess wings and the ability to fly. They tend to be swift and acrobatic fliers, using their feathery advantages to the max, sometimes even on land. They gain +1 Aspect point in Speed
• Nature's Affinity - As a beast that is an unusual mixture of different sides of the animal kingdom, they tend to have a natural affinity towards other animals, as well as nature in general. They get along with most forms of wildlife, and many even take on talents resembling the connection
• Longevity - Griffins have fairly long lifespans, easily reaching hundreds of years, and are known to be able to heal from minor injuries rather quickly
• Calming Effect - Known for being good guardians and often a symbol of justice, Griffins have a natural vibe of calm around them, and are good at calming others down just by their presence

Flaws:
• Griffin's Pride - Griffins tend to have a large pride in their abilities, resulting in them being unusually stubborn and often taking on more than they can chew. Might cause disputes with their attitudes, and engage in risky behavior
• Stamina Drain - Being a mix of two different beings does have its drawbacks too. Due to their feline halves, Griffins are heavier than what's an average for an avian creature, creating an imbalance that causes them to get tired faster if they try to use their strength and speed too much at once
• Darkness' Poison - More of a nature dweller, Griffins don't take all that well to dark arts or anything that is corrupted. It can cause them to get highly distressed and lash out if exposed to such for longer periods or time, or assaulted by it in combat
