welcome to Eldritch Academy
In a world of myths and mysteries, the pinnacle of the magical academies exists. Eldritch Academy offers education to all ages and species but specializes in the study and training of one's innate mystical capabilities, often called Eldritch Energies, Powers, or Unknowns, but more formally known as their Talent. However, tensions run high with the nations only holding a fragile peace as the Talents that rival the epitomes of technology change the balance of power.
With the more recent uprising of evil Shades and introduction of combat-oriented programs into Talent-focused schools, nations grow more aggressive towards one another. The demand for resources grows, and skirmishes at the border of Arka and Mistere become more frequent. Monsters run into the nations from the Wildes, terrorizing villages and cities. The need for trained or in-training Hunters and Guardians has never been more urgent.

♦ CHARACTER INFORMATION ♦ Name: Ludwig Faust - commonly referred to by both first and surname. Gender: Male Age: 19 Occupation: Faculty; sparring & physics teacher. Height: 6'0" Appearance:Personality: - Lazy - He's naturally an incredibly lazy individual. That doesn't mean that he acts it, but he'd much prefer to laze around and do a whole lot of nothing if he has the chance to do so. Unfortunately being a professor of physics at the college level and acting as a sparring instructor means he doesn't have a lot of time to actually be lazy, so what little free time he has is usually spent doing sweet fuck-all.
- Responsible - He's an especially responsible young-adult by all accounts and takes his job seriously - at least in the sense that he won't slack off, anyway. He isn't a particularly serious person most of the time otherwise. The moment he gets his shit done though it's right back to doing a whole lot of nothing.
- Valorous - Ludwig is naturally unable to back down when a situation is afoot, and is therefore ready to throw his safety to the wind to resolve things if need be. He's utterly unafraid to punch above his weight and has the means to do it in a lot of cases, and takes great pleasure in doing so, at that. He's pretty liable to stick up for the metaphorical little guy when push comes to shove.
- Indecisive - He's typically an indecisive person with a hard time making any kind of final decision about anything, which sometimes shows in his work and his less than thought-out course lessons. Even the simplest of decisions can take a fair bit of time for him to come to any kind of conclusion on, making just figuring out what to eat for breakfast every day an absolute chore.
- Relaxed - The lazy little tyke has a hard time taking things too seriously and has a pretty relaxed & lenient view on just about everything on the whole, with some exceptions here & there. This often translates even into his sparring courses, where he tends to let the student take the initiative and instead counteract them in many cases. He says this is to help them build up offensive strategy and experience, and that the best defense is a solid offense - but really it might just be another excuse for him to be lazy.
- Cocky - The nature of his talent(s) has led to him becoming fairly cocky on the whole, believing himself capable of taking on just about any kind of opponent on at least even footing. This shouldn't be mistaken for him underestimating opponents, however - just that he's extremely confident in his ability to adapt his talents to suit his situation at any given time. Of course, one would probably expect this of a sparring instructor...
- Absentminded - A lot of the time Ludwig can come off as kinda airheaded or absentminded, like his mind is somewhere else completely or he's simply not paying attention at any given time. It's hard to say if he has some sort of ADD or if it's just interlinked with how lazy and relaxed he normally is. This makes it likely for him to miss certain details of average situations or totally forget for a while what he was supposed to be doing at any given time.
- Casual - Ludwig doesn't really act particularly professional in any situations. He's generally fairly casual with friends and other faculty members alike, and can't be bothered to try and uphold any veneer of professional behavior save for what doing his job actually entails. He's almost more like your lazy dork of a friend who just so happens to also tutor you on advanced physics. Yeah. That.
- Unambitious - While he wants to be the best fighter that ever did live, and is usually always willing to accept whatever challenge comes his way to prove that he's just that, he doesn't really actively seek out self-improvement or have any particularly lofty goals. He just wants to be the best so he can say he is, really.
- Antisocial - While usually considered to be a rather negative personality trait, he isn't averse to social interaction in any way, he's just kind of...indifferent to it. As such he does not either seek nor reject social situations and engaging with others, and instead largely allows them to come to him if they want to interact.
History: (TBA) ♦ SPECIES INFORMATION ♦ Name of Species: Human Baseline Dimension: Human, average is 5ft to 6 ft, although it depends on the human. Baseline Appearance: well they're human, no fancy natural hair colours unless dyed, just casual brown/blue/green eyes naturally and pretty normal. Culture/Origin of Species: The most basic of species yet the strongest, humans have been around for hundreds of years and play a major part in history. The outnumber every other species, and it's common to see families with one human and one mythical creature as the parent. Humans cannot pinpoint their origin due to how long they have been on this land for. Traits: • Humans have a natural affinity for magic based on the basic elements, nature, electricity, fire, earth, water, air and metal. This gives them strength when using the elements and resistance against them. From these elements humans naturally have 3 resilience aspect points. • Humans can fit in anywhere, it is easy for them to learn languages, different talents, fighting styles or cultures, this allows them to have an extra talent. Flaws: • f l a w l e s s
