A true lady, born into the maned wolves of Vivas, Mercedes can be...strange. Intense, as well. She's something of a lone wolf, which shows in her constant changing of dance partners who don't seem to fit her "aesthetic." Though young, only in her early twenties, her technical skill for flamenco is great. She puts passion and life into all her dancing, but people often call it a cold dance - for Mercedes is a cold woman. An eccentric artist to her core, Mercedes is driven, true, but does not play well with others. Rather, most people cannot break through the barrier of ice between them and her. To perfect her art, Mercedes will plow over anyone.

One cannot help but notice it is a lonely road, though. All except her, clearly.

History: Born in Mystopolis, Mercedes’s family hails from Wainsgrove. It is in Wainsgrove where summers were spent in the water, being bitten by mosquitos in the muggy swamps and easing along the canals. For Mercedes, it was nothing short of a romantic and provincial existence – which explains the core of her flamenco style, raw emotion rather than the new and showy tricks. She remembers the rocking of the boat during canal fairs, rising from her naps to dance to the music that guitarists would strum. Whenever she danced with her sisters, there would inevitably be a singer with a throaty voice, and other dancers showing what they could do. It was communion. It was unity. It was passion. It was art.

Mama and papa were dancers in their rival studios, and they came together to have their three daughters with Mercedes smackdab in the middle. In Mystopolis, Mercedes was put into other ventures – fencing classes and ballet, mostly. When she grew older, she asked (quite solemnly) to be put into a tango class – an umbrella term for jive, salsa, rumba, and what have you. Mercedes puts dance above all else, puts art above all else…for it is her life. Her soul. Her means to express herself when words and facial nuances fail.

At eighteen, Mercedes once again asked her parents (quite solemnly) if she could devote two years to travel – to dance. They allowed it. Her two years are up, and Mercedes is back in university. Political tensions? All nonsense to her. So long as it does not interfere with her dancing, she cares little for it.





Name of Species: Okami | Wolf Yokai

Baseline Dimension: Normal dimensions can mirror, being small sizes of about 2 feet tall and 40 lbs to anything as tall as 8-10 feet with a weight that can range anywhere from 150-300 lbs.

Baseline Appearance: Eye, hair/fur, and skin color all van vary by the "breed" of wolf that is chosen. Extras that are namely included are a tail (which by breed) can be a short stub or a longer, bushy tail, and a pair of ears akin to a wolfs, but can easily be confused with a dogs by the untrained eye.

Culture/Origin of Species: Wolf spirits, or Okami are generally spirits in which the Yokai can possess namely either a human or a wolf form or in some cases some have both. While not much is known to the world about them, Okami have innate affinities with most elements in their powers, ranging from light and fire down to even darkness with no requirement of their alignment to match up with the element they have, if any at all.

Traits:
•Soulbound: An Okami can transfer its body into anything inanimate object, giving life to it at any time. This however does not affect their stats.

•Pack Mentality: When in groups of 3 or more, the user gains +2 strength

•Heightened Senses: As the spirit of a wolf, the Okami has heightened senses of smell, hearing, and sight.

•Spiritual Enhancement: Due to the body of the spirit Resistance gains +1

Flaws:
•Animalistic Tendencies: An Okami can easily become angered and overprotective much easier than others.

•Lone Wolf: A need to be left alone or to refuse teamwork from others overwhelms this Okami. Even after working through, they will still show tendencies and moments of this behavior.
