In a world of myths and mysteries, the pinnacle of the magical academies exists. Eldritch Academy offers education to all ages and species but specializes in the study and training of one's innate mystical capabilities, often called Eldritch Energies, Powers, or Unknowns, but more formally known as their Talent. However, tensions run high with the nations only holding a fragile peace as the Talents that rival the epitomes of technology change the balance of power.
With the more recent uprising of evil Shades and introduction of combat-oriented programs into Talent-focused schools, nations grow more aggressive towards one another. The demand for resources grows, and skirmishes at the border of Arka and Mistere become more frequent. Monsters run into the nations from the Wildes, terrorizing villages and cities. The need for trained or in-training Hunters and Guardians has never been more urgent.

★ CHARACTER INFORMATION ★ Name: Felis Gender: Male Age: 5 years (37 human years) Occupation: Professor of Alchemy and Potion Brewing Height: 9.3 in Appearance:Personality: Having grown up wild on the streets Felis is a rather laid back individual. Though perhaps that specific trait came from his species rather than his past life style. In most situations he tends not to take things all too seriously. Only when something is upsetting him or the people he cares for will he start to take things more seriously. Little to say because he is rather laid back he is a particularity happy creature. Despite his rough upbringing and his owner dying he does not let that get to him. he has moved past those days of dwelling, or wondering what he could have done to change things. He is a very firm believer in fate so he rarely has any true regrets. Along with his cat-like nature, though he is an adult in human years he can act like a kid. He enjoys playing around, may it be with other people or simply teasing them. As a rather smart cat he likes a good mind challenge, and going up against opponents equal to his intellect is one of his favorite pastimes. However, due to the witch's power within him being smaller than it originally was, things like reading and talking can sometimes be a very hard task for him as his animistic instincts take over. This tends to make him a bit flustered, as he is very hard working and cares to a certain extent about his appearance. Though, because he tries so hard this doesn't happen too much unless provoked. While enjoying the company of others, his true passion is creating and mixing potions. Particularly, finding a cure for curses, hexes, and complex illness. Many witches tend to have this horrid things put upon them by other witches, and a lot of the time they are incurable. Which is why he is especially good at creating healing potions, having spent a lot of time in his younger years helping his master find a cure for her own. He can and tends to get caught up in his work a lot, which can stress him out if he accidentally takes it super seriously. He is passionate about his work, despite his care free nature. If a student is having trouble he would be the kind of teacher to pull them aside and help them out one on one. Though because of his nerves with being able to communicate properly and a bit of self doubt that boils within him he can get a little inwardly frustrated if someone does not understand his work. Either way, Felis is a good guy with good intentions. It's just sometimes his instincts gets in the way of this. History: Felis' story starts like most stray cat's, growing up on the streets of Mistere. His rouge life was pretty simple after leaving the comfort of his mother and father once grown enough to fend for himself. Hunt, eat, fight, sleep. It stayed like that for about a year, a typical street cat doing typical street cat things, all in the name of staying alive. Though sometimes, when the mice and other prey number got a little too low, he would have to find other ways of feeding himself. One day, giving into his hunger after days of starving, he gave stealing food a try. Though little did he know was that it was his biggest yet best mistake of his short life. He managed to slide into an open window of a nearby house, the scent of a freshly cooked steak drawing him to it. when he peeked into the window the meat was conveniently placed properly out in the middle of the room on a round table. Seeing as how no one was there he went towards and, grabbed it with his teeth, and made a mad dash back towards the window. But just as he almost made it, the window was shut by some magnificent force, and he was trapped. It turned out this home belonged to a witch, a young witch by the name of Angelica, and she wasn't too happy with the cat for trying to steal her dinner. But instead of punishing the cat, she took pity on him and used this to her advantage. She made a deal with him. If he wanted more food and a warm home, he was to become her Familiar. Being non sentient at the time, Felis had no actual way of agreeing to the terms. All he wanted was food, and so with nowhere else to turn he accepted the deal by eating the freshly cooked stake right then and there. It was at this time she gave him his name, and dubbed him as her one and only Familiar. With the contract in place he began to learn under her. She taught him speech and witchcraft, and in return he would be with faithful companion. However, this would only go on for about 2 years, this new happy life of his. Over the course of these years Felis watched Angelica slowly dying. The illness? A curse set onto the witch by another darker witch that rivaled her in talent. There was no cure for this curse, though the two tried for years to find one. And then one day, before either of them could even do anything about it, she was suddenly gone. Normally, Familiars would have gone back to being a non sentient animal by now. However, thanks to Angelica's lessons, he did not. Instead of going back to a life on the streets, Felis looked to Eldritch Academy and entered there as a professor in order to pass on Angelica's studies in hopes that one day they may help his students just as how they had helped him. ★ SPECIES INFORMATION ★ Name of Species: Witch's Familiar Baseline Dimension: Normal dimensions of whatever bestial animal is used. Baseline Appearance: Any kind of bestial animal. Though normally smaller animals such as birds, rats, and cats are used for Familiars. Culture/Origin of Species: Just like how mankind has their best animal friends, so do witches. The culture and origin of Familiars are unknown, as they have been used by witches since their very existence. However, what is known, is the process of how one becomes a Familiar. A witch must first locate an animal, and then force some of their own magical essence into them. The witch and animal will then become as one until either of their deaths. Though some may find this inhumane or even a form of slavery, Familiars are not usually sentient enough to grasp onto this aspect. Their owner's will if their own, and they will follow through no matter what. Traits: ★ A witch's work needs to be done quickly. To make sure their companions get what they need as quickly as they can their speed is increased by 2 points as well as great flexibility. ★ Due to having some of the witch's power within them a Familiar's strength is increased by 1 point. ★ Familiars have both low light and night vision so they can see even in the darkest of areas. ★ Because they are bestial but are trained to understand common speech Familiars can understand and speak any kind of language. ★ A Familiar's physical senses (sight, hearing, etc) are 2x as powerful as their regular species'. Flaws: ★ Because a witch uses some of their own power to make an animal their Familiar, if a witch dies the Familiar will once again become a non sentient animal. Though, whatever the witch teaches the animal on their own will stay with them despite this. ★ Familiars cannot shapeshift by normal means unlike other species. In order to do so they would need a magical item, ability, or potion with the ability to do so.
