In a world of myths and mysteries, the pinnacle of the magical academies exists. Eldritch Academy offers education to all ages and species but specializes in the study and training of one's innate mystical capabilities, often called Eldritch Energies, Powers, or Unknowns, but more formally known as their Talent. However, tensions run high with the nations only holding a fragile peace as the Talents that rival the epitomes of technology change the balance of power.
With the more recent uprising of evil Shades and introduction of combat-oriented programs into Talent-focused schools, nations grow more aggressive towards one another. The demand for resources grows, and skirmishes at the border of Arka and Mistere become more frequent. Monsters run into the nations from the Wildes, terrorizing villages and cities. The need for trained or in-training Hunters and Guardians has never been more urgent.

“I know how to get home from here.” Akeldama said with a little wave of her hand, hoping that he’d let her leave it at that. People tended to freak out if they saw where she lived. But there was a very good reason for her living in an abandoned run down house. It was safer for everyone given her curse. Oh yah. That was one of her other classes. Something about curses. Maybe he was right about her workload being too high. Maybe that was why she lost so much time in her memories. No... no that unfortunately wasn’t it.

"Ah.. If you're sure you'll be alright then I shall take my leave." Liam smiled gently, he was a little weary that she might get lost again, it's not like the park had been far from this place. Still, if she was studying at the academy she would more than likely know how to get to and from home from this point.
"Oh my little sister goes to the academy as well, if you see her be sure to say hi to her for me. Her name's Emma and she's a neko as well, except her hair is purple." Liam gushed as he thought of his favourite person in this world, forgetting to mention that by 'little' sister he meant an eighteen year old that was part of the college at the academy. In his eyes she would always be the adorable little kitten he grew up with.

While part of him wanted to play the gentleman and escort her all the way to her house, it would be rude to force himself upon her when she seemed so eager to go alone from this point. Perhaps she just wanted to have a bit of independence, it wasn't that strange of a thing in young people. His magenta eyes left the back of the young girl's head as she strolled off and out of sight to meet with the entryway to the academy. The neko had planned to enjoy and relax on his day off, however, he hadn't expected to end up here.
