Name of Talent: Force Fluctuation
Concept: Erika has a natural attraction, a bet not due to her personality. First manifesting as a stronger center of gravity that would occasionally get her into trouble as small objects flew towards her, Erika’s talent proved to be a misfortune in her life. Eventually, through all of her earlier years, she honed her talent into what it is at present, a manifestation of gravity itself. From being able to toss shockwaves at an opponent, to her body becoming similar in nature as a black hole, and even altering others gravitational levels, Erika’s strange abilities prove invaluable. Able to hold a large number of smaller objects inside herself to use at her will, Erika is a walking armory or both weapons and random objects.
Extra(s): Erika will always be heavier then her body weight shows merely because of how her talent works, though it doesn’t affect her negatively other than her being angry with every scale in the world. At least the normal strain that would be placed on her body has made it stronger and easier to maintain physically.
Positive Mechanics:
• Erika’s body acts as a gravity conductor and can attract or repel mass by altering the center of gravity around her.
• Erika’s body also processes a “hammerspace” that allows her to store everyday objects inside of herself safely, making her a walking “bag of holding”. Erika can’t store objects like buildings or anything and only up to 1 other player character.
• To attack Erika can manifest gravity “lashes” from her body black smoke appearing manifestations that distort gravity around her, and project their own gravity field allowing her to use them just like her body. She can also move along them to their other end.
• Erika can increase her own density increasing her resilience by 1 point temporarily.
• Erika can alter the gravity around her to have less resistance and thus a faster speed, (just go with it), by 1 point temporarily.
• Erika can apply light shock waves to increase her own strength, bolstering it temporarily by 1 point.
• Erika can also launch shockwaves to attack her opponent, these can travel in the air or through a suitable surface such as the ground.
• Erika can, with some strain on her body, turn herself into a black hole to absorb attacks, through anything above trivial will still hurt her just less so, this is represented by her gaining a temporary +1 to Vitality.
• Erika can affect the gravity of others, allowing them to float around or to be anchored to the ground, though it requires being hit by quite a few of her attacks to feel any significant effect.
Negative Mechanics:
• Erika’s gravitational effects require her to be precise against her targets, and while she could perform area of effect attacks, they could be detrimental to the environment and her control of a situation.
• Because she has such a strong center of gravity, if she isn’t careful attacks could end up heading right into her.
• Mostly an offensive talent with not too much utility at the moment, it’s fairly useless during everyday life except when Erika doesn’t want to get up from the couch to grab the remote.
