welcome to Eldritch Academy
In a world of myths and mysteries, the pinnacle of the magical academies exists. Eldritch Academy offers education to all ages and species but specializes in the study and training of one's innate mystical capabilities, often called Eldritch Energies, Powers, or Unknowns, but more formally known as their Talent. However, tensions run high with the nations only holding a fragile peace as the Talents that rival the epitomes of technology change the balance of power.
With the more recent uprising of evil Shades and introduction of combat-oriented programs into Talent-focused schools, nations grow more aggressive towards one another. The demand for resources grows, and skirmishes at the border of Arka and Mistere become more frequent. Monsters run into the nations from the Wildes, terrorizing villages and cities. The need for trained or in-training Hunters and Guardians has never been more urgent.

The Nightmare would seem amused while they were outside of the mind, but once inside he became quite serious as he looked about the strange surroundings with cautious curiosity. He was unfamiliar with this place or why it seemed that it was under some form of attack. He was curious to poke about and explore this place. He truly did want to learn about what secrets it held, but his unease about the situation kept him grounded in facts rather than childlike fantasies of discoveries. This was the realm of the mind, the place where he was strongest, so he had to be careful. For everyone’s sake. He didn’t want to do something dumb that would cost more than just an exit, but perhaps someone's mind too. Yeah.... there was a lot to take in, but even so the Nightmare wasn’t about to back out of this offer as he even placed somewhere in the back files of his mind the idea to ask said owner if he could visit again…provided a couple of things of course. Like if they found said target, if said target was friendly, and if said target didn’t mind people walk about exploring their thoughts. Now that he thought on it though, that might be a bad idea…What if he just undid any work they manage to successfully do here? Put the guy right back in this sleep state? What then?
All the questions and wanderings, but ssshh. Hush mind. Hush. There was a task to be done. Focus. And so he did.
Stepping even further into the area, he would pose his questions…and actually get an answer. Was he surprised? Only a little, but he did remember the other saying he had some connection to these folks so it wasn’t a huge surprise. Stopping at the railing of the second floor they were on, the nightmare would look down to the floor below as he took in the words and hum.
“The hideout huh? Makes me wonder how it looks in reality,” he would begin before looking back at the other just as he pointed upward. His gold eyes would follow the point watching that flashing light again, his body involuntarily shivering a bit with the unease it caused from somewhere inside. “Well, your reasoning is sound enough based on what was given. But he is a vampire right? And that light isn’t normal…I don’t think. So he’d go somewhere near it, but not out in it right? Assuming that said imagery harms, I would avoid being directly in it myself.” Was there a possibility that the imagery didn’t harm? Well yes, but minds and dreams were strange so one could never assume any one thing about them and what they could and could not do.
“That aside though. I would agree. We need to go where the light show is or somewhere where we could potentially view it well. Hopefully our target would be in one of those spots. Since you are familiar with the place, I’ll let you lead.” He would say as he moved a little along the railing before going back over to the other as a particularly bright flash went off outside.
…He didn’t like that light at all…..

The “sun roofs” were holes that had been blazed through the roof by some powerful force.
As they went into the building and closer to the flashes they would find that parts of the floor had smears of ash on them. Those that they did pass did not seem to notice them. And in the event that one of the two did not succeed in avoiding the fleeing vampires, they would find that they were completely phased through. Though they existed in this mindscape, the world itself was not one that could be interacted with them. Nor could the world in question notice them, for here they were only observers.
The vampires from which the ash piles had originated from seemed to have died rather quickly... If not also violently. At the end of the line they would find a broad shouldered man. Perhaps in his early twenties.
He was in a strange suit of armor emblazoned with the sign of the Church of Purity. A sign Rika would definitely recognize from the Books he had rifled through when he had been in Yuuto’s house. And a symbol Sharaku might recognize if he happened to know of this local church community. It was innocent on the surface but had rotten roots digging into the foundations.
He had on a strange set of armor made of silver, the gauntlets which had long since been dusted with the remains of the multiple vampires he had slain. His cinnamon hair was tossed about, wild from battle and sweat. Six white feathery wings were splayed from his back, speckled in soot, blood, and tarnished with more strange black sigils that were from the Church of Purity in origin. Had Rika done more than a cursory glance at the books at Yuuto’s he may have been able to interpret a few of them. Sharaku certainly not given the highly classified nature of their meaning.
"So your the bastard who dared to break into my house and hurt my children? Tell me, why do you want to die so badly?" A booming voice from behind them could be heard. Sharaku would recognize it as Mordred’s voice, filled with righteous fury. When they turned around they would see Mordred decked out in a full suit of armor himself, brandishing his blade Avalon. He was more than set to face against the God before him.
The cinnamon haired figure turned around, green eyes cold as steel. It was a face both of them might recognize. Years older, a stubble on his chin, and far more imperious than either of them had ever seen him. But it looked... Strangely enough like Yuuki. “I am the god who has come bring The Cleansing to this world and make it Pure again. It is you that shall die this day, not I."
Didn’t sound like him though.
From behind Mordred’s mighty armored form could be seen Antonio, watching the scene with impassive golden eyes.

The Vamp Wolf | He’d shrug. “I’m sure we’ll find out as we get closer. It ought to be obvious whether we can interact with anything here or not.” They just had to get closer to where people were gathered or something was happening. It should not be hard to test just how ‘real’ they were in this place. Although he would wager it was unlikely they could die from watching alternate realities unfold. If he recalled correctly the previous people who came in and died….did so because they have stayed too long, not because they got slain inside the guy’s head, and the vampire himself has obviously never died inside his own mind either, given he was still alive and kicking. Knowing that, the first guess would be that they should be just fine.
And a form of proof came soon enough. Albeit he had not taken his chances and stepped out of the way of the fleeing vampires just in case, it was painfully obvious they were not being noticed at all. Not even a glance in their direction, or a flinch upon seeing two random people in their way where they shouldn’t be. Good to know. The scenery was more troublesome though, and the tall young man would frown at what seemed to be happening. He was by no means interested in any religious organizations, and wouldn’t even know which church was the closest to the Academy to be honest, so there was no chance of him recognizing some symbol. Sure, Ozaki may have mentioned the organization before, but it was not like he had ever been shown their signs, thus he was none the wiser there. He did notice the similarity with the normally young vampire though. Was this some weird alternate version of him? Didn’t even look like he was a vampire in this one. Hm.
Also, Mordred was hard to ignore, but since nobody seemed to register them here, it honestly did not matter a whole lot. Right. Their target appeared to be here too however…assuming there was only one of him. How did this work anyway? Did he get to replace his alternate self while here, or were there two different Antonios running around simultaneously, one real for this world and one just an invisible observer?
“Ooookay, well….” They were going to get to watch this anyway, so ignoring the majority of the confusing weirdness for now, he’d walk around to try and get close to Antonio, to see if this guy would notice them. That’d be a pretty good clue to know whether they’ve got the right person in their sights. |

“Indeed we shall.” Would be the response back to the words heard. He was aware that this could play out in two different ways when it came to the mind. One: the things they saw around them were only illusions that seemed real and two…they were actually real things. While he was aware of alternate realities, how real they could be would depend on the extent of the power of the one going in them. Some could travel to small frames in the future or past and try to alter them with never good effects. He wasn’t sure what their target was here for or why he spent long periods of time in such a place.
It was possible though between the time spent in this place was different than reality and the fact the cause of death for those that got lost in here was time rather than actually being murdered by something of this place that this place's imaginary was fake, but at the same time....Maybe the person who did this and the one stuck was just smart and avoided the dangers. Both possibilities were valid until something proved one of them or maybe both of them right.
Regardless as they traveled, the Nightmare would take note of the smeared ash his eyes narrowing slightly at the sight as a ping of sadness filled him. Not enough to distract him from his mission, but it was there. Much like Sharaku, the Nightmare would take notice that the people here did not notice them and while he did move out of the way when said folk ran by, out of curiosity he had tried to grab a fleeing vampire by the arm, but like a ghost that arm would phase right through his hands. Well that certainly proved that this place was harmless to them at least.
That aside, the Nightmare would let his hand drop to his side as a man in armor came into view. Staying a safe distance away, his eyes would narrow as they turned red for a brief moment as he recognized the signs on that armor. “...The Church. That explains the light show….” he’d begin in a serious calm tone that was rough around the edges and probably familiar to Sharaku by now. Either way, the behavior would change as Rika seemed to nod at his own words. “Though I wonder if that is another form of Yuuki or if it is his father….” He would say the last part out loud to no one in particular before he was becoming quiet as Mordred’s figure and voice entered his awareness. Hmm…was this in the past or was this the future? Yuuki had stated there was a vampire he didn’t want to have anything to do with that kept bothering him no? And it might actually be this guy Mordred if he remembered correctly. But even if he did want to be away from said person, did Yuuki want to kill said vampire? Could he?
His mind would wander slightly on the matter before Sharaku’s voice brought him back to reality. His red speckled golden eyes would narrow slightly as he looked over at his companion briefly with an amused smirk. “Do we watch the show? Or should we try speaking to the other over there?” He’d make a motion with his head towards the third that was in the area with them.
As if to answer his question without words, the Nightmare would see Sharaku take his action and while he was tempted walk right through the two facing off, the Nightmare in the end decided to mimic the action and follow keeping an ear and eye on the pair though, quite curious if they were going to fight as they made their way towards the third in the area.

"Oh, so you are one of those. Also for Hades' sake speak like a normal person. You are at the most twenty stop talking like your some ancient deity.”
At being called out in such a manner the cold steel in Yuuki’s eyes slipped for a moment. He was just… What? “Wha... S-Shut up! Die by the light you creature of shadow!” The look in Yuuki’s eyes was, but for a moment, more reminiscent of some of Ozaki’s more anxiety prone times. His inflection of voice was similar to… Though of course the words were… vastly different than anything they had ever known their mutual acquaintance to say.
Ozaki then shot a ray of holy light at Mordred, which his opponent used a shield to block what few areas on his face would have been exposed for sheer necessity of sight. Stlil standing strong.
~~~~~~~~~ Antonio watched the fight going down and did not initially comment on the two in the room. Why would he after all? Then he noticed that neither Yuuki Asahi or Mordred were taking note of them. And then Sharaku didn’t even seem interested in what was going on. Sharaku was here? That was odd? And who was this other one?
Wait… Rika. The surreal guy who had been seen both with Yuuki and Sharaku. Why was he here? Was he part of this universe? Or something else? What would that something else be? Wait. Did that one just notice him? “You two…” He would mutter, eyes as golden as the sands of time fixated on them. “You’re not part of this universe.” That was a statement, not a question.
If they could see him and safely ignore their surroundings, they were not part of this world.
The Vamp Wolf | He'd narrow his eyes at the scene briefly, only to shake his head after a moment of thought as he commented on Rika's wondering. "Who knows, who cares. This stuff is not real and we've got things to do. Getting absorbed into speculations is not among them." Sure, knowing would be sort of nice and interesting, but ultimately, the hell did it matter? It was not the reality they lived in, and if any of it ever came to be, they'd deal with it then. In real time, not in magical dreams.
In that vein, it would appear they hit the jackpot, as the other observer indeed noticed them approaching unlike all the other people around. He'd frown. "No, we're certainly not. In fact, we came here to find your sorry ass on request from your gang comrades." Might as well put it straight and in perspective as soon as possible. He'd hate for something to separate them and force them to search for the guy again. Even less so, were he to run off himself to watch something interesting elsewhere before they could tell him he needs to get out of here already. |
The Nightmare would stay in his spot for a moment eyeing the scene between the two men, his mind wanting to know about the situation and who that man who was clearly not Mordred was. When he got a response to his wanderings from Sharaku, the Nightmare huffed as he placed a hand on his hip. “Well, I would like to know anyway,” he would protest a bit, but then sighing would shake his head. “Yeah, yeah. I know.” Even if it wasn’t real or this was some sort of dream, he was still interested in the information to be gained here. He wish he could spend some time getting lost in the speculations or watching, but then again…maybe that was exactly how he too would get stuck in here like the other that did not belong here was. While he wouldn’t admit it, he was kind of glad Sharaku could stay focus and on task. Still…that didn’t mean he had to ruin having some fun. That minor complaint aside, he would somewhat get his answer to the thoughts from earlier as they were passing by and the conversation between the two males took an interesting turn. As Mordred made a jab at the other, the Nightmare would look over at the other briefly and for the first time see a semblance of Yuuki there. Oho? Was this a future version of Yuuki? Or perhaps the version that was still human and had grown up? Could current Yuuki even become an adult though? Huh. That opened a lot more questions than he had wanted and while he did indeed want to poke more into the matter, it would seem his darker side decided to take the wheel for the time being causing the over the top interest in things to settle into minor wanderings….and sarcasm apparently.
As the other noticed them and spoke, the Nightmare would settle next to Sharaku as he observed the other with eyes that had shifted to red. “That’s right Sleeping Beauty, we’ve come to give you your kiss so you can get up already. Though,” He would look around the area less scared than earlier before looking back at the other. “I must admit you’ve chosen an interesting place to come spend time in.” He honestly didn’t blame him for wanting to stay and explore. To be frank, he might do the same. Even so, there was a limit to everything no? And this one’s time here in Lalaland was up. Now would he come along quietly or run? That was yet to be seen. Either way, the Nightmare would react accordingly to either happening despite the whatever attitude he had at the moment.
Antonio blinked as if in a fog at Sharaku mentioning that he’d was here on behalf of his gang. And Rika too? Dreamweaver… Made sense they’d get one to handle such a problem. “I’m not done here yet.” He grumbled. The way Antonio saw it, he hadn’t been in here all that long. They could wait.
Mordred threw up a barrier of blood to block the light, part of Avalon’s form shifting from solid to liquid for a moment to make the large shield. “You also have way too much of a temper for an ancient deity. You were so close to speaking normally for a second there as well. Why did you go back?"
Yuuki Asahi slashed through the liquid barrier, to be met with a parry by Mordred’s blade on the other side of it. The blood now spattered on Yuuki’s blade starts surging toward him, sharp as daggers. “Because what opinion a corpse puppet like yourself has of me matters not!”
