Surprisingly enough, the taller of the duo would remain silent this time around instead of bringing something up, simply eyeing the vampire with a contemplative expression on his face. There was always something to say to be honest, but he was starting to find the conversation a bit dull. Or should he say, mostly him voicing things the other did not have much to tell about. At this point he sort of wanted to know whether the guy would have anything to say to him without a prompt to be honest, because it didn't quite seem like it. Not that he was any lacking when it came to his ability to pressure people, but the other side actually having some interest in going through the issue at hand was definitely helpful...

To be frank, it wasn’t that Ozaki didn’t have interest in the issues in question. It was that there was just too many issues being thrown at him now. He had already had a lot to think of. And while Sharaku had helped him by actually getting him to focus on those things rather than avoid it, he was just adding more things at this point.

But now he was utterly silent. Just staring. Was he waiting for Ozaki to say something? Was there something he was looking for? He’d kept bringing up question after question… Perhaps he had begun to find Ozaki’s answers dull. They had been mostly a mix of him saying he didn’t know and agreeing with what the other guy was saying. He’d had a few points of his own but…

Was Sharaku going to say anything at all? Why was he being so quiet now when earlier Ozaki couldn’t get him to shut up to save his life?

Sometimes he genuinely wished he could just glare people into doing something or whatever, but that was clearly not a tactic that generally worked well. Still, would be nice to at least get something, regardless of what it happened to be. Awkward silence was not what he enjoyed a whole lot, especially when it lasted for longer than just the occasional brief moment between conversations.

He'd sigh. "So....was there anything you'd prefer to talk about? I have a feeling we're not really going to get anywhere if I have to lead the discussion the whole time. I don't particularly mind speaking on most matters, but that doesn't appear to work on your side." It easily began to get slightly tiresome to play the hit and miss game like that. Plus, he wasn't the one to need thinking through it the most. While there were parts of it he was wondering about, it wasn't like he was going to agonize over them.

Maybe this would be a good chance to ease out of the conversation without being berated for running away. “Not really… You’ve given me a lot to think about though. I think I’m going to go home now. To think about things.” By Artemis’ bow why did he have to be so awkward when it came to things like this? Ozaki picked up his books and tucked his umbrella under his arm, hoping that he could leave this time without getting berated.

He’d narrow his eyes at the other briefly, but then opt to just shrug. “Better think hard.” He clearly wasn’t going to get anything better out of this talk, so there was no point in holding the guy here. And while he didn’t particularly like when people chose to be evasive with him, there was only so much to do about it. It wasn’t hurting him in this case, at the very least.

“Yah.” Ozaki muttered. “Bye then.” He walked off then, hoping Sharaku didn’t have any last words that would be food for thought for his already overwhelmed mind. He had enough food for thought to keep a tobacco chewer happy for the next month.
