Give the Boy a Hand(private)

Oh. Ummmm… Aaaaaaah. What if Sharaku was. “Beeeecaaaause….” Ozaki was trying to think of what to say next. Sharaku had already figured out that his hypothetical wasn’t a hypothetical at all. “I mean I’ve had a run in with them too. Or is it they had a run in with me? Well one of them. A bit of both. Just kinda crazy is all.” Both of them having had encounters with The Bloods.

What were the odds? Ozaki’s high mind was being way too fascinated by this for his own good. Later he'd regret letting out even this much. But hell. There sounded like there was a story there, and he was a bit curious to hear it.

Seventeen years ago. How old was Sharaku? From the sound of it he’d been born a vampire werewolf hybrid. He looked like he was in his twenties, but that didn’t mean much for a vampire. When born a vampire, aging came slowly and then stopped at some point.

So what age Sharaku was or what the nature of this experience with the Bloods entailed could be anything. “You would think that, wouldn’t you?” Ozaki was enjoying being vague at this point, stupidly enough. “So what happened with you and the gangsters any how, if I may ask?” Yup. Ozaki was more than happy to hear about other's lives. It was easier than talking about himself.

Family relation huh… Sounded like Sharaku didn’t have that good of a relationship with his father. Though sounded also like he didn’t care about that either. And when he sounded like he didn’t care, Ozaki was going to take a wild guess and say that Sharaku possibly wasn’t lying when he said he didn’t care.

Sharaku would have to care a lot more to lie about anything surely. Ozaki was almost done with his own unicorn himself, working on the hooves to a nice and shiny polish. Perrrecct. “A wonderful shine m’lady.” He gave an over exaggerated bow to the unicorn then spun around to face Sharaku.

“Fair fair. Fairrrrr. Fair as a unicorn even. Glad you got out. As for me… Well after you try to kill their boss while hopped up on tainted blood tends not to be so easy you see.”

Sharaku practically knew everything already, was Ozaki’s assumption at this point. Just not all together. “Not that you need to worry about them killing me… He does realize it was the tainted blood…” He wasn't necessarily going to get killed, but anything up to getting cut up into pieces was still possible. So he could not fully relax about the idea of Mordred even as he was waving off the whole thing with a high as a kite smile.

Ozaki broke out laughing at that. “No no. I don’t think they’d like that very much.” Or maybe they would. He knew virgin blood could be quite tasty for vampires… Not that he was saying that unicorns and vampires were similar. Okay weird train of thought. Ew. He momentarily grimaced at that idea and then passed it right up, moving on from it without much worry.

“They sound like a bunch of douchebags. I’m sure there’s plenty of reasons to like you. I mean. You’re wicked smart. Annoyingly so, but you’re totally smart.” Like, way annoying sometimes how he liked to pick away at things. So nosy. But he asked the right questions. “And ya, they probably want something. But I managed to get ‘em off my tail before getting here. Not that I gotta tail or anythin’.” Some vampires had a tail. He did not.

Ozaki covered his mouth at that, both horrified and cracking up horribly at that. That was so awful. And gross. “Gro-ho-hossss.” He chortled. It looked like both of them were done with their unicorns around the same time this time. “Looks like we’re both done with our hor… Unicorns.” Don’t call the unicorns horny horses. Don’t call the unicorns horny horses. He started cracking up more at this.

His laughter died down a little bit when Sharaku mentioned he’d been four years old last time he’d seen his family. By the sound of it, it was for the best that that was the case. “Aaah geeee. That sounds like it sucks. I mean its good you’re not with that family. But that suuuucks. Parents can be such douchebags.” He didn’t know what to say that or what to do. Normally he might try to comfort someone telling him this. Maybe pat them on the shoulder or on the head. But he wasn’t sure what Sharaku would do if he tried that.

Plus he didn’t seem that distraught about it. Then again he was quite the deadpan person. “That prolly could be it.” He muttered, a bit subdued. He had tried to kill their leader after all. That and Mordred did seem at least a little concerned about his future status as a living vampire when he’d been about to leave.

Not gross. Sure. Unsavory was gross in Ozaki’s book, but he’d just leave it there. “Yaaaah. This issss true.” He said as he walked out with Sharaku, opening his own umbrella as they walked out.

There was a good reason he had been hesitant to tell Sharaku any of this sensitive stuff until the point where he’d heard that the were-vampire had come from the gang from himself. The idea that he might go around gossiping about him when Sharaku himself had dirt in that area seemed unlikely… Then again Sharaku gossiping seemed unlikely. But you never knew… Which was why he was still trying to be somewhat careful. And obviously failing.

“Sure, I gotta few.” Namely his college friend and her child. Befriending other vampires could be a bit tricky for him given… His unique predisposition and inability to drink blood without utterly murdering someone. A lot of vampires were comparatively more put together and smooth than he. Fact of the matter was he was more likely to be made fun of by other vampires than make friends with them. Hol’ a minute there. He was thinking of high school again… He’d gotten considerably better at hiding those particular oddities.

But he supposed he had more than just two acquaintances if you were to use that word. That word didn’t mean friend, it just meant you knew the person. He’d take any half of a reason to chat up a fellow hemophage, even if it didn’t particularly go smoothly half the time given… Well… It was him they were talking about.
